  1. He has Marty Feldman eyes! The glasses stay on.
  2. I am very happy for my adopted player from the two prior years, Shavod. Congratulations and do yourself and all of us proud.
  3. They are viewed as fresh meat that conveniently counts as a Div1 opponent. I hope they have good medical facilities.
  4. Happy Birthday, Rick! You are numero uno in my book.
  5. My adopted player, Tevinn Cantly, was oficially in on two tackles. I think the statistician screwed him because I was watching and Tevinn was very active. He is elevating his game and gets a B+ from me for the FAU game. Good job, Tevinn! Cook up a little something special for those Cajuns please.
  6. My usual friends crapped out! PM me and we'll work something out on handoff. I prefer to arrange a drop at the Alumni Pavilion but I'm flexible. I'm asking "buy one, get one".
  7. Rick, I can't say much more than what has already been posted above. I'll just say "ME TOO!". Happy Birthday, you da MAN.
  8. My man is Tevinn Cantly. He has been developing into a good player but the stats show him with an "ofer" this week. As with the stats of some other players mentioned in another thread, I find it hard to believe that Tevinn was missing in action. Perhaps he was being doubled. Tevinn WILL show up against FAU!
  9. Before anyone labels me as anti-Greek, please let me state that I am a Teke. I support the Greek life and the role it plays in the development of people who want that. I have always believed that one of the major roles of Greek organizations is to show leadership in the support of your university. If indeed the roaming strays were Greeks, I ask you to reflect on that. I do not know if the people I saw in the distance were members of fraternities or sororities (BECAUSE YOU DON'T NEED BINOCULARS AT APOGEE AND I LEFT THEM HOME)but if the shoe fits, wear it!
  10. First, let me say it was a pleasure to meet, visit at length at the Pavilion, and attend the Mean Green March with a true fan...scrappyman1. The pleasure was mine. Second, it was a bit annoying and disconcerting to peer east from my seats in 207 and see many people still milling around on The Hill. I'm not pointing fingers but it looked like Greek territory to me. Come on people, leave those old habits behind with Fouts and get your butts in seats. You missed a very good performance by our Mean Green.
  11. Not so fast! According to my calculations, the probability of a win under those constraints is still only .9689.
  12. I just got a cancellation, so I have two seats 207, Row 4 with chairbacks available. I'm posting this at 12:44 p.m. on Friday and will do something else after 4:00 p.m. Pay me face for one, I'll throw in the second ticket. First PM to me is the winner. Did I mention 45 yardline?
  13. My player, Tevinn Cantly, had two assists. He also had two stops against Houston. Tevinn is coming on after his FIU "ofer". He is going to continue to develop and be a much-needed force by the time conference games get here.
  14. I second that.
  15. Scott would pump a little life into them. RE: "cupcakes" as confidence builders, who is shitting who? I would much rather see the resolve to elevate their game.
  16. Tevinn Cantly started and "participated" but apparently not too vigorously. Nothing for him on the stat sheet. I thought he was the second coming of Shavod but the jury is still out. I have faith that Tevinn will suck it up and go apeshit on Houston.
  17. Tevinn is my adopted player. He will, of course, register the first sack. I can see him blowing up some Houston guard and evicerating Keenum on third down of the first series. You read it here first!
  18. SO...I was planning a little "backdoor action". I have scouted driving up from Richardson via Bush and I-35, cutting south at 377 to a road that winds around to the west and intersects Bonnie Brae about a mile south of the tennis center. Then I planned to come north on Bonnie Brae and enter at the tennis center to get to the Victory lot. The map implies that I won't be allowed to do that. Are you kiddin' me?!!!
  19. That! Absolutely no interest in any character problems on the team. Stoners, thugs and assorted rabble need not apply here...even with God-given talent. JMO.
  20. I have no frame of reference for the comment "Tim Love is a total tool". I will say that I have driven up from Richardson more than once just to eat at the Love Shack and it is worth the effort because the food is that good. If he is a tool, I don't have to meet him to enjoy the products of his kitchen. I have tried other highly-touted Dallas-area burger places like Scotty P's and JC's; they suck by comparison with the Love Shack. Haven't been able to try In-and-Out yet (can never get close enough and go elsewhere) but was told by someone who has that Whataburger is just as good. IMHO.
  21. The only time I ever stay in Denton is when I spend the weekend for the Arts & Jazz Festival. I always stay at the Super 8 because it is very well kept and reasonable. It is strategically located right next to Rudy's, which is good for you Coogs, and only two or three exits off the freeway from the new stadium. I recommend it unless you are looking for upscale accommodations and some sort of entertainment within the hotel.
  22. There is nothing I can add to all of the above posts except a sincere AMEN
  23. Someone needs to work on his Double Windsor.
  24. They look like a good sponsor and I am very grateful and thankful to have a quality sponsor. Having said that, what does Apogee get for their $20 Mil? Given the strategic location of the stadium and the opportunity to make so many impressions every day, it seems to me a consumer goods company would have been all over this deal. Potential new clients for Apogee are not going to be driving by the stadium every day; perhaps Apogee is trying to raise their awareness to expand to other market segments. What the hell do I know, I'm a finance guy. All I know about marketing is what Dr. Ganesh was able to drive into my skull more years ago than I care to remember.
