I reviewed Harry's link to the Iowa roster. A quick scan shows that all of the Texas players, except one, come from our immediate area (mostly Collin and Denton Counties, saw one Dallas County). Looks like they just flew a recruiter into Dallas, set up camp in Allen, rented a car and took a few short drives. A couple of days' work and they reloaded the cupboard.

How bad is it? We could definitely be 0 - 4 on October 10 and 0 - 5 on October 11. I just checked the status of our Homecoming sacrificial lamb. They had a bye week this week after a 2 - 0 start with impressive wins over Washington State and Idaho State, both on the road. They have dates the next two weeks with lesser programs IMO so I expect them to come in here undefeated on October 10. Beware the wolf in lamb's clothing!

Our defense is the highlight so far. It makes me sick to see them gassed late in the game (same old crap from last year) because the offense can't move the chains and give them a break. I do not expect much from the offense but it would be helpful for them to chalk up a first down or two before they punt or otherwise turn the ball over. Our defense can carry this team on their backs but are only human and only so deep. GO D !!
