  1. Another reason for him to kiss his sweet ass goodbye!
  2. I support this message and I have made a contribution. I encourage all still on the fence to do the same.
  3. A surefire way to "out" them would be to photograph those who genuflect when RV gets off the elevator and enters the room.
  4. I expect we will all get a full-court press from the department to get those renewals in. Wouldn't it be ironic if 2014 was the apogee?
  5. And what if the blue bar for 2016 is going to look like something between 2010 and 2011?
  6. Exactly! Now expand this to just the little minorities on this board alone, and you start to get a feeling of what the economic impact could be. Metzler's will miss my jalapeno sausage wrap habit.
  7. OK. So just the two of us brings that count to 2 and 6. And those 6 butts in seats buy stuff on game day, etc.
  8. It might be interesting to see how many MGC memberships and season tickets hang in the balance here from the "minority". Could that question be structured in poll format? Or, is that number being an unknown a strategic advantage for us minorities?
  9. That was the defense that prompted me to defend them. I anticipated improvement going forward, based on experience with the new DC. In fact, the defense has gotten steadily worse. WTF?
  10. Yes! Yes, it would! And then I could edit my signature!
  11. Absolutely a work of art! Scary close to reality.
  12. YESSS! We're #248 and just 47 places behind Longwood (presumably the school and not the porn star).
  13. People think its "old school" and not sexy like spread offenses. I just point to the scoreboard and say that I don't care what caused those digits to be displayed. Actually, I get a thrill out of seeing a well-executed triple option offense (is that somehow perverse?) in action. Given our current personnel, I have thought the triple option fit our talent pretty well. JMHO.
  14. A real-time example illustrating your post is Bruce Barnum, the Head Coach at Portland State. I didn't know anything about them until a couple of weeks ago. There is a coach who does more with less than any coach I can remember. He doesn't care as much about the money and facilities as he does about football, his coaches and his players. Barnum is probably an anomaly but his characteristics and performance are what I think are at the heart of your post.
  15. Maybe Daddy would just "loan" the kid to us for a few years for "seasoning" outside the nest and to make some real money, with a promise that he can return when Daddy is ready to hang it up.
  16. Any offensive scheme that can consistently score points and eat clock to keep our defense on the sideline is a good offense.
  17. Montana St.(16) and Portland State (17) on now. Still in 1st Q, 14 - 14. UPDATE: PSU 28 - MSU 14 8:51 2Q UPDATE: PSU 35 - MSU 21 Halftime UPDATE: PSU 42 - MSU 21 13:15 3Q PSU in black helmets and green jerseys with white numerals. They look like US! Too much so, I'm afraid - they just gave up a 101- yard kickoff return! UPDATE PSU 42 - MSU 28 13:01 3Q UPDATE: PSU 49 - MSU 28 11:03 3Q HOLY $CHIDT, BATMAN! UPDATE: PSU 56 - MSU 35 3:20 3Q UPDATE: PSU 56 - MSU 42 END OF THIRD QTR MSU would SO eat our lunch with their passing offense! UPDATE: PSU 59 - MSU 42 5:06 4Q Barneyball has become Milk-the-clock Ball. MSU can score very quickly. Attendance = 8,110 for this barnburner with two ranked teams (FCS). UPDATE: FINAL PSU 59 - MSU 42 One of PSU's backs ran for 285 yards (#3 Jones, I think). Helluva game!
  18. Come on DD! I want to see Shep Smith's frown on Monday afternoon when he does the news. Always running his mouth and taunting about Ole Miss.
  19. Random Thoughts On Attendance If you build it AND DEFEND IT, they will come! Our real goal should be win at home and split on the road. It will take at least four years of 7 - 5 or better to get close to what we want attendance numbers to consistently be. In retrospect, 2013 was an outlier. In essence, "everyone loves a winner" and those of us who have suffered for years made up a substantial part of that 10,000 we saw on Thursday. I suspect that we will see what the real core attendance is in the next two games at home. I need a beer so I can focus. Further affiant sayeth not.
  20. Get a grip, man! You shouldn't be drinking alone.
