Don't lock the door, many others are coming behind you about midnight on November 28.

How about "Pariah"?

Janis said "One day up near Salinas, Lord...I let him slip away. He's lookin' for that home, and I hope he finds it." She also said "Freedom's just another word for nuthin' left to lose...nuthin', and that's what RV left me."

Also, a way to stop the coming exodus and maybe accelerate support.

True that. I'm looking at a copy of this year's complete schedule and it is as soft as I can ever remember, so the schedule was set up to win. Went to three or four games in his first season, haven't been since, and won't until there is a change. I'm originally from Indiana and grew up with good basketball, but I haven't seen any here since Johnny left.

Personally, I was just reflecting on the last seven years, all that has happened in that time, and how that little slice of time amounts to 10% of my life, to date. I damn sure don't have the time left to keep making the same mistakes over and over, although by being a fan for about 43% of my life, to date, one could argue that I have already done so.

Reading and remembering that history is scary. It's hard to realize that this crap has been simmering on the stove for seven years. UNT90 certainly has the right to change his mind over that period of time. I think that I too was posting similar sentiments back then.

I'd have to say "hell yes!" because I swear both of mine were telepathic.

I hear you, appreciate your post, and respect where you're coming from. At this moment, however, we don't even know who is going to coach this team next season. I would think that would affect potential recruits more than anything else. I hate to use this phrase, but at this point, what difference does it make?

Even THAT might not be successful. I can see the newspaper headline now: MASS STREAK PETERS OUT!
-
And each approach escalated a notch, until someone at the highest level gets the message and responds. The "nuclear option", which even the most irate are loathe to consider, is a coordinated mass exodus.
-
There is no guaranty that the "committee" will contact and/or evaluate any but a select group of coaches. Coaches selected for contact by whom? Smells like bureaucratic BS to me.
-
That certainly works better from a cash flow perspective, or in this case a budgetary perspective. You don't get the dead horse out before he stinks but you can at least move him downwind!

I'll throw out my 2 cents. Disclaimer: I am not close enough to the inside action to know. My reads come from almost 50 years' work experience in both the public and private sectors but not in the culture at UNT. I think your hypothesis is very possible. I've had thoughts along those lines in various scenarios myself. Given what I think I know about this culture, no decisions of this magnitude get made quickly and by any one person. For example, I subscribe to the school of thought that Mac's firing might have been in the works for weeks, waiting for the trigger event. Time will tell, but I think this has got to play out by the UTEP game. Maybe we'll have something to be thankful for. Start no rumors - this is JMO.

I appreciated Wardly's gentlemanly, reasoned, cool-headed approach as stated in his letter. I was going to compose an equally thoughtful and respectful answer to him but most of my thoughts are contained in the two quotes above. I think we have been shooed away like flies by the administration. I am a Smatresk fan but his silence on this situation is beginning to gnaw at me. Stronger, louder measures are called for.

And on his second pass he rolled a barrel bomb out of the side door! Elwood Blues?

Richard Gozinya here. Just call me Dick.

Tour ULL's New $30 Million, 100K sq ft Athletic Center

First class! Very impressive. -
But not anonymous to the sponsor. In a proper operation you should not give up any strategic advantage, like anonymity. If you must know, I ponied up $100 for the cause. It is not about recognition, it's about raising the money.

This banner should have some effect. At least it will be a response from the "minority"...kinda like this one.

Interesting theory, but Snopes says that is false...definitely false.

My personal view is that the popular offensive schemes are good, if you can recruit the players to run them. I want to see a coach who has shown that yes, he has a potent offensive scheme, but will be willing to adjust that scheme to match his talent. The ability to adapt and sell it to his players is important to me, whereas I frown on continually trying to pound that square peg into the round hole.

UNT athletic director knows what he wants in next football coach

Unfortunately, I might want to contact Miley Cyrus and explore that twerking thing with her but she probably wouldn't take this old man's call. It takes two to tango.
