  1. I hope the paperwork to get the little rat and mama rat returned to Tarrant County goes poco a poco. They need to enjoy the hospitality of a Mexican jail for a while. Better yet, our Mexican friends can charge them and give them a nice little sentence to be served before extradition. Hey, I can wish for things can't I ?
  2. I freely confess that I have been a fan of D. Smith, thinking that all he needed was two or three games under his belt to show that he had "it". Well, I freely confess that I am disappointed. IMO, he looks like a quarterback. He is athletic, is a good runner, and has an excellent arm. Where he falls short IMO is control, touch, whatever. With a spring and fall pre-season to work with him, Harrell might get more out of him...if he must. I'm ready for a fresh face.
  3. Your post reminded me of a furniture commercial. To paraphrase it, "If you're not shopping for a new AD...you're just burning money!".
  4. I am concerned that this scum traitor will receive a light sentence and then a Presidential pardon as a middle-finger to the American people and the military on his way out the door.
  5. Yes, its enjoyable to watch. But the voice in my head is yelling "The WSU defense is on the field too long! These guys are not going to last four quarters!". We must find a defense or we will be screwed...and not by the prom queen.
  6. Well...them MUTS choked! They just gave up two TDs, still almost 5 minutes to go. Ooops! Four and out for the MUTS. Looks like the coach's son ran out of gas. They are going to blemish the conference's record. But then, who are WE to talk about blemish?
  7. Them MUTS choke too! Tied up at 31 with WMU with less than 10 minutes left. SHOULD be 38 - 31...but they choked in the first half on four shots inside the 10 yard line. This could be a good finish.
  8. If I'm Mac, I might have to budget but with my health issues I don't think I'm gonna work again. I'm going to relax and enjoy the rest of the time God has in store for me. And I'm going to sip my Grey Goose on the beach or beside the fireplace.
  9. Peace On Earth and Goodwill To All (even SMUt, MUTS and UTKFC). A Special Shout Out To All Fellow GMG Posters!
  10. Those long-suffering fans of the Marketing/Sales persuasion who post here can better address this point than I can. It seems to me that you get better results when you compensate based on reasonable base salary plus commission versus a fixed, big-ass salary. Why would coaches be different animals? Coach Littrell has a base and incentives that could scare the hell out of $1 Mil by the end of the year if things go well for him, IMO. I don't doubt that he will bust his ass trying...as he should. I personally don't give a damn about what the outside world thinks about our salary structure at this time because I think we are competitive given the shape we're in.
  11. Agree. What about other unrealized goals being in that contract too, like MGC memberships?
  12. The contract is good. There is no doubt that he will put in the effort to achieve results (because that is the kind of guy he seems to be) and the contractual structure lets him be rewarded for those results. No complaints here.
  13. CBL, I know our musical tastes probably don't correlate but how on God's green earth could you leave off Buddy Guy - Born To Play Guitar - Kiss Me Quick
  14. It begs the question "When will we see a rollout of RV's Vision Credit ?".
  15. I know what he doesn't do...wear green. I didn't see anything but red and blue when the TV camera panned the bench and the announcers gave him his props.
  16. I had the game on but worked on my computer after the first 10 or 15 minutes. It was clear by then we were dead meat. This team is very hard to watch!
  17. This appears to be a classic example of someone who just will not modify his behavior sufficiently to co-exist with society. This guy belongs in the slammer for life, he has had plenty of opportunities to change.
  18. Is there a Vegas line on that?
  19. I'm all for quickly evaluating all good transfer prospects...before tweeting. There is undoubtedly some good talent out there, but there are a few square pegs among them. Guys don't always transfer just because they are stuck behind an NFL Hall-of-Famer on the depth chart. Due diligence!
  20. Here's your favorite soundtrack:
  21. I am not expecting something in the 6-6 to 8-4 range until the 2018 season. I think it is unrealistic to put the pressure of a bowl-eligible season on a good new coach who is assembling a mostly-new coaching staff and is working with the carryover players from an un-competitive 1-11 team. Add to that the short recruiting season, new offensive and defensive schemes to be learned, etc., and it is unfair to expect immediate success. I would be tickled pink if it happened next season but my real inner voice says expecting that is just setting myself up for a letdown and it just is not fair to Coach Littrell and the staff. JMHO.
