  1. True, but they must think that all roads lead to Ft. Worth.
  2. No surprise here. Even IF their "17" could round up the dough, the situation itself is very nasty. They are going to have to settle for something much less. This is a job for...
  3. Further to my point, I was reminded of this old classic. The mouse could be Coker...or, RV in another context. http://www.cafepress.com/+last_great_act_of_defiance_no_text_wall_art_small_poster,625635460
  4. An Athletic Department enema is long overdue!
  5. My opinion hasn't changed, after weighing the positives and negatives since the last vote...B+. I'm happy with signs of recruiting life and my perception of his strategy there. I generally like the coaching hires but the defensive guys are going to have to show me what they've got because I'm underwhelmed. I'm poised to revise my grade upward, based on final recruiting results and some glimpse of what the defense will look like. I like Littrell's style!
  6. They are not this stupid, IMO, which makes me think Coker had this planned. I have been thinking that this could be Chico's shot but I wouldn't wish this mess on anyone.
  7. So you're saying we have something in common with Allen?
  8. Instead of letting him go, Allen should have run off the current AD and given him the dual role and paycheck. I hope there will be an open AD position in Denton soon. Win...win.
  9. From Cowlishaw's lips to Smatty's ears!!
  10. I choose to disagree but have no facts, just an opinion. Regarding RV, I'm not so sure he was anything but a puppet in this process. Regarding UTKFC, they have a highly professional AD. I seem to recall Coker saying that he wasn't going anywhere and looking forward to next season. Was this a severance negotiating ploy on his part or did he intentionally $chidt in the nest to spite the AD? So many scenarios here but their AD is well-respected and would be on my short list to call when we shed ourselves of RV.
  11. They definitely have a timing problem but I won't second guess their AD. Say what you want about UTKFC but they do have a top-shelf Athletic Director. Note: I would have referred to them as nUTSAck but their AD is a lady.
  12. I remember telling my guests for that game that they just witnessed history and they were unlikely to ever see a stand like that again in their lifetime.
  13. I watched the whole thing because...well, I didn't have anything better to do. I was about to FIND something better after TCU stunk it up in the first half, but I'm glad I didn't. That was the most amazing turnaround I think I have ever seen! TCU totally shit themselves in the first half and OWNED the second half. I'm not usually a Frogs fan...but when I am, I'm proud to say "Congratulations, You Done Good!".
  14. They will tee it up soon. I wonder if TCU will play a decent game or will they be limp. It will be interesting to see the psychology at work.
  15. Ryan, there is a delayed reaction in play here. It is now renewal time. I suggest you hide and watch until about June; then raise the question after trying to get renewal statistics. JMO.
  16. Since my New Year's Resolution was "Don't sweat the petty stuff...and don't pet the sweaty stuff !" I am passing along my Christmas "houseguest" to all GMG posters and wishing you all a Happy and Prosperous New Year !
  17. Freudian slip or typo? Nonetheless, I like it!
  18. Quote from your article, Brett: "Putu is scheduled to graduate with his two-year degree after the spring semester and will then continue his college football career at a four-year institution. The question now is where Puto will land. North Texas jumped into the race for the 6-2 sophomore, who was a second-team NJCAA All-American this week. Here are his Hudl highlights." You do good work but...check the consistency of your spelling on the prospect's name more carefully in future articles. People like me that read slowly and are somewhat bilingual catch things.
  19. Absolutely! I should have placed that resolution in context, i.e., it is age appropriate for me. I can look but touching could be life-threatening.
  20. Don't sweat the petty stuff...and don't pet the sweaty stuff.
