  1. SSU! I got yer mascot right here!
  2. Logical way of making lemonade from a lemon...but IMO not practical from a human behavioral point of view. No new coach would want him lurking about. Bad for the morale of the players too. Get the dead horse out before he stinks!
  3. Exactly. That opponent would not be confused with Kansas or UAB or UALR or even UTA.
  4. I'm happy for the team...but check your opponent facts.
  5. Anal? Did someone say "anal"?
  6. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ben-simmons-and-lsu-should-apologize-for-underachieving--not-academic-shortcomings-002115393-ncaab.html Here is another little story pretty much on point with this thread.
  7. The room hasn't filled up yet because his buddies clean up after him...
  8. The Illini Ark is going to be two Cubits shy of a winner.
  9. “It’s huge,” UNT coach Tony Benford said of today’s game. “I would like to go out on a winning note in our last home game.” If only it were true. Freaudian slip, Tony? Regretfully, the forecast says #hit20 and #1moyr.
  10. “It’s huge,” UNT coach Tony Benford said of today’s game. “I would like to go out on a winning note in our last home game.” From your lips to God's ears, Tony!!
  11. The credibility of our University is at stake here. Has Frazier quickly morphed into a Rhodes scholar? Methinks not. This is a case of Benford pulling out all the stops to save his ass while "people" look the other way, using a kid as a pawn in his perverted game. It is not Frazier's fault, he has never been held accountable for his lack of academic effort. That is OK, because not everyone is cut out for college success. Frazier is gifted with physical talents and needs to get his shot at the next level ASAP. Benford needs to be on the next Greyhound out of Denton. JMHO. If you think I'm pissed...I AM. We are all going to be tainted by this debacle if it is not handled correctly and promptly by Smatty.
  12. Nothing left for me to do, short of a senseless act. I haven't spent a dime on basketball after attending about three games in Benford's first year. I follow the team via the media and this board but won't spend my time and money on basketball in Denton while Benford is coaching. As one of the "minute few" that's about all I can do.
  13. This.. plus EQUALS THIS !!! That pretty well summarizes where my mind is re: the current state of affairs.
  14. Not what I wanted to read after just getting home after finally seeing "13 Hours". I will come back tomorrow.
  15. Indeed!
  16. We can't win. We get two stars and are ranked 114th. And we haven't hit the field yet. http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2016/3/3/11144432/college-football-coach-name-spoonerisms Although, it IS tempting to refer to nUTSAck in the future as the Wankers.
  17. I think our new poster Folcrum is inquiring about the origin of the name "Super Pit". I am not a UNT historian but as I recall the old Men's Gym was where basketball was played and it was nicknamed the "Snake Pit" because the acoustics and "intimate" setting made it inhospitable to visiting teams, and also because there were occasional reptilian guests. The "Super Pit" is newer (built early 70s), much larger and retains some of the same acoustical characteristics, sans reptiles. Time marches on...I'm sure many of you still remember picking up IBM punchcards at your appointed registration time at tables in the Super Pit.
  18. Too early, but I will play. US - 18,000, THEM - 1,000, TOTAL ATTENDANCE PREDICTED = 19,000 The "Seth Littrell Factor" kicks in here. People are curious to see what he molds out of the clay he was left with which to work. This is a fork in the road...win and crowds will build (even for Butt - Cookman); lose and we'll trend downward the rest of the year, except for Marshall. I predict that Marshall will be the biggest crowd of the year, whichever fork in the road we take. Further Affiant sayeth not.
  19. "DENTON (UNT), Texas - Spring enrollment at the University of North Texas increased over 2015 with 35,141 students enrolled. In addition, students are taking more class hours, indicating a continued focus on academic achievement." There is an alternative hypothesis...students are taking more class hours, indicating a renewed focus on academic progress. The overall cost of attending school makes it imperative that students load up every semester to compress the total time spent in school.
  20. There is more numeral 2 in our program than that just reflected by the last four season records!
  21. I notice that the gig is a clinic. I guess his topic is going to be "Euthanasia 101: How To Put Down Your Ailing Program".
  22. Are you SURE these quotes didn't come from a football coach now residing in Austin?
