You do realize that only some of the $105 million goes to athletics, right? And the last campaign UNT had raised over $250,000,000...with some of it going to athletics. I believe over 25% of the donors to this campaign at UNT were first time donors. So, did exactly what you are referring to and more than doubled Middle's total. The next UNT campaign goal will be much higher and plans are already underway.

Coach Carrico was one of our Denton HS coaches while I was there. He was one tough coach, but had a heart of gold and loved coaching the Broncos. I had many a one on one conversation during and after practices. He just had a great way to speak with young guys who thought they knew what they were talking about. He said a great deal with so few words. The last time I saw Coach Carrico was at Apogee. We chatted briefly as we both left the stadium that evening. To be honest, I had no clue that Coach Carrico was a UNT hall of Famer when I was in high school. He never bragged about his exploits, just coached and taught as much by what he did, how he dud things as by what he said. Coach Carrico was one great human being and I consider myself lucky to have known him. May God grant him peace and help his family and friends recall the good times. Go with God, Coach Carrico.

I have ZERO interest in seeing UNT play a regular season "home game" at AT&T stadium or anywhere other than Apogee. And, I for one love playing Army at Apogee and would love nothing more than to see a home game against one of the service academies each and every year going forward.

Going to be a tough one, but so was La Tech. If UNT decides to play defense like they did in our last two home games there is definitely a shot at a win. Hey, three of my grandsons will be attending the ODU game tonight with our son and daughter-in-law and the four year old's youth basketball team. Instead of his team jersey he wants to wear his UNT jersey that "you know who" gave him and the 6 and 1 year old as well. Dave Barnett said that if they do come in their UNT jerseys he will put them on TV. I can't watch as we will be attending the UNT women's game tonight. If anyone does watch...if somehow you can...let me know if you see a little guy or two in a UNT jersey on TV tonight.

OK, I updated the list with a few more items. This is not a complete list by any stretch of the imagination. The Cheer Team and parents will bring a lot of additional items and the athletic dept will be donating additional items as well. If anyone wants to place a bid on any of the above, and who cannot attend the event on the 27th, just PM me. The list is found in the first post of this thread. I just edited what was there to include a couple more items.

But, how can that be? UNT90, the great wanna be athletic director, said they wouldn't play there! How dare those athletic programs go and do something that UNT90 "knows" they wouldn't do? Can't believe they didn't ask for his approval first.

Man, you have an incredibly weak grasp on reality when it comes to anything regarding Dr Smatresk and/or the BOR. Simply mind boggling. I am skeptical that you have even met the man. Anyone here who thinks our university president is weak when it comes to decision making and weak when it comes to personnel matters is simply nuts! I know you think Granbury is the center of the universe, but when your "reality" comes from message board posts about things you think you know about President Smatresk, well you simply are mistaken. You are letting your faux message board celebrity go to your head.

Not a representative shot of the full crowd who eventually made it to their seats...we, had that 4600+. But, quibble as we may over the actual attendance, it was darn good. And, whoever was responsible for the promos that got all those groups and others to attend...as we have been averaging under 200, should be given a pat on the back. The crowd noise had to help the players, and they did seem to enjoy the attendance as witnessed by the bench "goings on" at multiple times throughout the game. FUN it certainly was...and nice to see two home wins in one week!

True. But, this was billed as a meet and greet...not a speech. Coach Littrell had said he did not want to get up there and do a lot of talking. He wanted to meet and talk to the supporter so and he wanted folks to meeting is staff a and talk with them. So, we got a short recruiting recap and some general info in a sit down with Dave sort of thing. You will notice that neithe RV nor Dr. Smatresk spoke.

We have added the great Lance White...number 52 himself...to the WHITE team to round out the numbers at 12 for each team.

Seems about right to me...fun time to be green today!

Now, that was fun....great win over a solid team today for the Mean Green! Had a great time watching this one and hearing the great crowd noise. Really a nice crowd. Lots of groups. Folks even sitting in upper deck today. It made for a bit if a home court advantage. Played defense again...won again. Katenda had a great game, Deckie was hot outside, Combs was his usual awesome self, but was shut down a bit in the second half. Brice had a great time playing and cheering from the bench. I think I see a pattern developing here...Tony B picked up his second technical foul in the last two games...UNT wins both those games after losing what, five straight? Hmmmmmm...maybe he should pick up a T every game. Pattern perhaps? Great way to top off a fun day....Cheer Scholarship Game draft at noon....Mean Green win over La Tech following...Greatness!
