Hall of Fame worthy post!
-
Oh...not so much. Perhaps a better sign of a company struggling with the increasing on-line sales of sporting equipment and the losing out on team business to competitors.
-
Sure...why don't you try to find a post like that. Big talker..pretty much what you do these days. All talk.
-
Went out to Mean Green Club members as well...and there have been ads in the Denton paper in addition to the means you describe above. I got it on Twitter several times as well.

No. I was serious. Dr. Smatresk is a winner. He's the real deal, and has already led UNT to some major improvement since he first came. He has his priorities in the correct order. It may not be the order some here on GMG.com might wish they were, but in order they are....his order. So far, it appears that he has been correct with that order..Tier One, finances in order, donations on the rise, new campus opened in Frisco, new Student Union opened, several new key staff and faculty members hired, etc. The man is focused on moving UNT forward. And, he is focused on improving all areas of the university, and in finding the resources necessary to make those improvements. Necessary resources is, of course, key.

You are so far off base that you can't even see the base! But, you don't care...it shows each time you post something like this that is just so wrong that it is getting comical. Your thinking that Dr. Smatresk is anything like our past few presidents shows just how very little you are attuned to reality these days. Everything you post is second hand or a complete fabrication of your mind. But, at least you are consistent in your lack of first hand information. And, you wonder why no one takes you seriously these days.

Great news! Too bad they didn't extend him to at least 2025!
-
Yes, you can. Drove with friends to watch soccer.
-
I fully expect you back in action for year seven.
-
My wife and I are going. Beautiful place...tons of history. My son played a soccer game there against Army when he was at Kings Point. I had the pleasure of being able to attend. Just being on campus was worth the cost. I highly recommend going to this one...it is so much more than just a football game. Whether the Mean Green wins, loses or ties, the experience is well worth the trip and costs. That being said...I fully expect a Mean Green win!
-
Good point...will definitely try to remember that. Appreciate you supporting this event. I hope you are now fully recovered. Well, after the game this year...how could I not go for year 7? Also, I think you have been in for all six games as well, right? And, you are usually one of the first, if not THE FIRST, to commit to play. Awesome, man...your support means a great deal to me. And, you are definitely the first to commit for year 7! Got ya down. Gracias!

I just had to start a new thread to post the great news from the Cheer Scholarship Basketball Game held last Saturday...but, before I do, I want to once again sincerely thank our Sponsors Eastside and Oak Street, Cross Timbers Equipment and Addison Transportation for their generous support. I want to thank all our donors, all our silent auction item donors, all the Cheer Team parents who helped with the silent auction, our volunteers who manned the clock, scorers table, concession stand and who helped collect funds after the silent auction closed. I want to thank our three great referees...all volunteers...Roger Franklin, Troy Kokjohn and Matt Walsh...great job guys. Also...thanks to everyone who came out to support the event and to bid on our silent auction items...you folks rock? Of course we must say thanks to the folks in UNT Athletics who support what we do...especially to Paul Batchelder who is my go to guy in Athletics for this event. And, last but far from least...how about all those folks who sign up to play in the event...cannot thank these guys enough for how they support this event...we have some like Emmitt01, who have played in all six games we have held and others who have played multiple times. This year's game was, I think, the best we have seen to date. Well done guys. And, now, drum roll please.....the net amount we will be able to provide the Cheer Scholarship Fund is...$ 5,247.00! That shatters our prior record!!! Thanks so very much...lots of work, but oh so very much fun. We are making a difference for these great student-athletes. Everyone involved should be proud of what they are doing to help pay it forward in support of UNT student-athletes. Thanks so much...and...see you next year for the 7th Annual Basketball Classic!

OH, heck no...just pointing out the irony. But, don't worry...I will continue to do so since you don't care at all.
-
And, and UNT90, who doesn't care, continues to show how much he doesn't care by posting multiple replies to every thread throughout his workdays and weekends.

MGB: UNT-Southern Miss women's basketball running blog
KRAM1 replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Basketball
I can tell you...it was great watching our only senior (Tac) who played all four years at UNT make that winning basket. Her Mom and sister were sitting right behind us. A proud moment for the family I am sure. Tac played her heart out every game and stayed loyal to the Mean Green through those coaching changes. It was great seeing her get that winning basket with .4 sec. to go! Thank you young lady...you did good. -
Well, what a game we had today. I have to say, it really was a basketball game today with the white team prevailing 58-45. Plenty of three balls and some nifty moves in the paint. The guys that give up a good part of their day to come play, ref and work in this event and bid on our silent auction items make it possible to do this event. I am greatful to each and every one of them. And, how great are all the Cheer Moms and Dads who provide silent auction items and set it all up for us? Wow...all one needs to do is get out of their way. These parents really support their kids. And, how about the folks who just come out to support what we do and cheer and laugh with the players and bid on the silent auction items? Everyone helps make it work. And, what about our referees today? Troy, Matt and Roger were really part of the show today. Just a bit of an update on Roger Franklin...what a hoot he is as a referee...he just recently got married and is deciding whether he wants to play next in Switzerland or Japan, but said he was leaning toward Japan. But, stay tuned and we'll find out soon enough. Once all the credit card totals are in I will post how we did donation-wise. We are going to be pretty close to a net of $5000.00 for the Cheer Team Scholarship fund...how close I don't know as yet, but will in a day or two...stand by for that total...it will be our highest total to date! Congratulations to all, and a super big thank you to everyone involved. And, I must say...Andrew made a sweet half court shot to win our 50/50 pot at halftime. Yes, yes he did. Sweet shot! Thanks again for a really fun event folks...you are the ones who make this happen.
-
Thanks guys. There is no way this works with you guys. The thanks goes 100% to those who participate. I must also say...I think this one was the best basketball game we have had in our six years. There was some pretty darn good basketball moves and shots on that court today! And, wasn't Roger Franklin a hoot as a ref? Priceless. In fact, all three of our refs did a great job and really added to the fun...I think we need Troy, Roger and Matt back for next year! Many many thanks.

Hey, I think Coach Benford should keep getting teed up! We have won every home game in which he has gotten a technical foul. I told him to keep it up during the last radio coaches show!
-
Still thinking it over, but will be something like that for sure.

I just added my opinion and stated it as such. I do not recall any promise as to who or when regarding concerts....and as I stated some effort has been made to bring a concert or two to Apogee, but, again, in my opinion, that should never be a priority. I suspose folks can see it as they wish. I am more than confortable with how I see it. And, if Apogee was priced out of the market for HS games, why are we seeing HS games played at Apogee? If it falls on the AD, do you give him credit for the HS games being played there? And, I was speaking for me, not the AD. I judge Apogee and how it is utilized a big success...you can judge it as you please. It has proven to be a great venue for all kinds of events from community meetings to weddings to freshmen orientation. I'm good with it. I made my donation based on its use as UNT's football home. Nothing more. Anything more than that is just icing on the cake for me. I will leave it to others to piss and moan about concerts. Last I looked the university was not a concert promoter. And, just like folks are discounting the concert held after our spring game, they would find some reason to discount whatever concert was held there. There will always be those folks who waller in their negativity and want nothing more than for everyone else to join them. Leave me out of that pity party.

So, Ben, your opinion is that I am making excuses for RV even when I state it is my opinion...so, now I guess I can state my opinion of what you and several others are doing, right? Fair game, huh? So, my opinion is that you guys are just making excuses for why you refuse to support your university. I read excuse after excuse for folks who do not want to support their university on here daily...my opinion is that it is just cover for their unwillingness to help. So, there you go...both are nothing but opinions. Just try to let someone have a different opinion on things and they are "making excuses" since they don't agree with all you guys who find something to criticize in everything that goes on at UNT. Yet, you guys claim to support the university. Sure...excuses plain and simple. So, you keep making excuses why you won't support the university and I'll keep making excuses as to why I will support the university, deal?
