I voted today...I wanted to get it done early because ACORN has me registered in Ohio and Florida too and I can make both states this weekend! As ACORN says...vote early and vote often!

OK, serious question...with Tampa Bay and Philadelphia in the World Series, will anyone care and will anyone watch? I would imagine there will be a little interest since the Rays went almost from worst to first in one year (are you paying attention Texas Rangers?), but I would imagine FOX network is crying BIG TEARS over this match-up. What say you, baseball fans? For me...it's a big "who cares", but may tune in after one team or the other wins at least three games. Up to then...absolutely no interest at all. But, as you might recall, I am not the biggest pro spots fan out there nor at all the biggest pro baseball fan. So, for those that are...what do you think? AND who do you think will win? Will either team?

Great post EulessEagle...I intend to vote today. You hit on the issue I have with most elections...including the recent stadium vote...UNINFORMED VOTERS! I care not whom you vote for or what position you take on the issues...I just want you to have some solid REASON for voting the way you do. I am saddened by all the mis-information that is "out there" regarding both major candidates...but saddened even more so by all the folks who believe the misinformation because they simply are too lazy to think for themselves and to become informed voters. SAD...and this election seems to have more of them heading for the polls than ever before...uninformed voters I mean....Sad, but it is the system we have created...not the one our fore fathers designed, but the one "we" have created. ANYWAY....become informed and then go vote! GO BLESS AMERICA!!!! The greatest nation the world has ever witnessed!

Best thing about the list? No baseball stadium! OK, OK...just trying to get everyone going early this morning...just joking!

I saw the copter land at the last game and wondered the same thing. It did not stay long, but did mention to frieds how sad it was that a copter could land in our stadium parking lot that close to game time and have PLENTY OF ROOM TO SPARE!!!! This will change....for all the naysayers out there...keep your season tickets and keep supporting the MEAN GREEN. There will come a day, and a day before too long, that you will be VERY GLAD you did! The MEAN GREEN NATION ....the true MEAN GREEN NATION...does not and will not give up on this team or any UNT team! The glass is more than HALF-FULL and it is getting "fuller" every day! Hang in there and we will all the the glass completely full...new stadium and conference championships await. BE THERE....it will be so much sweeter to be part of it when it happens knowing that you were there when the "going got a bit tough". GO MEAN GREEN...see you at Homecoming!

Dems are only concerned about voter fraud if they think it is coming from the Republican side. Fraud isn't the issue...with the Libs it's who is doing the voter fraud. ACORN...no problem.....ain't politics great?

I'm in....however its done. GREAT to see the Alumni Association getting involved in this fund raising activity for the stadium. Lots of good things happening with the Alumni Association these days...moving ever forward...I encourage all non-member Alums to "come out of the closet" and join the Alumni Association....it's a great way to network with fellow Alums, enjoy some great Mixers and support scholarship activities and building programs for UNT!!!!! Think about it...AND...it is very inexpensive to join...best deal is the LIFE MEMBERSHIP at $500 (I think that's still what it is)...especially if you are a fairly recent grad (or expect to live a few years more). After several...SEVERAL...anuual dues years I finally became a Life memebr...never have to pay dues again! That's a great return on my money! Think about it! GO MEAN GREEN...JOIN THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION...JOIN THE MEAN GREEN CLUB!!!!!!

Two things we have to look forward to in October alone..... 1) Homecoming .... great weekend of college football in denton...be there! and 2) Oct. 30th Meet and Greet sponsored by the Denton Chapter of the UNT Alumni Assoc. with Coach Stephens and Coach Jones. Begins at 6:30 at the Alumni/Exes center on Campus. Munchies/drinks...and a good time for all Mean Green nation Members/Alums...come on and bring a firend (better yet if they are an Alum and would be interested in joining the Alumni Association!)...... SEE YOU AT BOTH EVENTS!!!!!! Lots of good things going on at UNT!!!

The weather should be GREAT and the tailgating will be fantastic! It will be a good time in Denton...come on over!!! The score...well, not to be anything but positive, but I predict........ UNT - ? Troy - ? Got to think about this one some...OK, BIG UPSET in the making...UNT comes out throwing and SCORES!!!!! Watch out, Troy fans...don't look past the Mean Green. If you do, you might end up in Ft. Worth and miss the great tailgating at MEAN GREEN HOMECOMING!!!!

I do not believe you can hold Brad Johnson responsible for the Dallas loss this past Sunday. WHERE was the defense????? MIA tyhe entire game until it was out of reach in the 4th. Nice "D" Dallas...... OK and nice drive stopping penalties Offense! Man, these guys need some sort of big-time wake up call. I would imagine that if Jimmy Johnson were still coaching there would have been more than one player on the waiver wire the last two weeks. SORRY EFFORT all the way around for the "boys Sunday.... great individual talent on the team, but looks like no team!

ACORN .... Front group for voter fraud and local grass roots coersion ... Nice, very nice... your tax dollars at work ... with many more to flow their way should Mr. Obama get elected. Just another "enlightened" group trying to "help" democracy move forward ... as long as they can stuff the ballot boxes and extort money for their causes!

Some sad comments here folks....GRUMPY would be saying it nicely. If you can't enjoy a great Saturday afternoon/evening on a college campus going to tailgating, eating some great tailgate food, drinking some cold beer, seeing lots of "pretty people"...well, some not so pretty ones too, but whose counting?....and watching a college football game then you have some serious "challenges" going on in your life. YES, I want to win and I want to WIN NOW, but looks like that will not happen to any great extent in 2008. OK, "God willing and the creek don't rise", I'll be in my seat with my bride beside me for the 2009 season....Again having a great time at a college football game on a beautiful Saturday afternoon/evening. You might want to try it sometime...it really is GREAT! GO MEAN GREEN.....

What email to President's Council members????? My wife and I are members and we did not receive an email????? Maybe she's heard I support the return of men's soccer over baseball and put me on the "do not contact" list. Interesting....thery sent me my President's Council "RENEWAL" letter and notice this weekend. They certainly do know how to reach me.....I am feeling left out and snubbed!!!!

You folks are "something else"....the ink hasn't even dried on the vote tally for the stadium vote and you are already going after BASEBALL and a stadium for that! Good Grief...if you wanted to start talking about a decent sport for the men to add....drum roll please....anyone not know what's coming next????? MEN'S SOCCER!!!!!!! Field is already available! COME ON...you knew this would show up sooner or later. If not, where have you been?

FLYER...you are to be congratulated for the job you...and many of your forward looking students accomplished. YOU are truly a MEAN GREEN CHAMPION!!!! You have my enduring gratitude and thanks. Now I do hope some of the "doom and gloom" and generally negative folks on this board can get behind this election...see the positive nature and realize that good things are happening at UNT...yes, the football team is having less of a year in the victory column than anyone thought it might have...but...the whole program is heading in the right direction and this vote will give UNT momentum to keep it going. WELL DONE FLYER...and all the students who voted "YES"..

Great to hear the good news. Thanks to all the students who are forward thinking and can see the real benefits to UNT...the entire campus community... of a new stadium. THANK TO FLYER for all the continuing info and for your continued positive comments and hard work. It was your comments and the work you were doing along with the many students I talked with over the past few weeks that kept me so positive about the outcome. Sure glad I didn't turn "doom and gloom" like several folks on this board...gotta stay positive...it is WAY MORE FUN!!!!!! The fact that the greeks seem to have had a general "who cares" attitude does bother me...the apathy on campus is rreally something. I really hoped there would be a big greek turnout. Perhaps the "polling" is about as wrong as all polls are...we'll see soon enough. I still say...THE VOTE WILL PASS...BELIEVE & HAVE FAITH. GO MEAN GREEN!!!!!
