BEAT FAU!!!! GO MEAN GREEN!!!!

Yep, I recall that Leach was at Kentucky, but thought he was an assistant at the time. Was he the haed coach at kentucky? I was meaning "mixing it up" as a head coach. Might be fun to see, huh?
-
WOW....thought maybe good ole Tobe was getting more than an education with his scholarship.....don't freak me out like that...I'm old and my heart cvan't take it...Ain't it great? I'll go back to sleep now...thank you! But, the photos really might have been pretty interesting....oh, never mind......
-
What...explain please. And, tell me what I am thinking isn't so!
-
I doubt that Tennessee would put up with the likes of Leach, but that being said...I would love to see Leach mix it up in the SEC. The BIG XII is a pretty tough place for coaching too...but, isn't every conference? Look at the folks on this board after Dodge. Think that's any different when all things are considered? It is a "what have you done for me lately" profession and the folks making their careers in coaching know it. Still does not mean it isn't tough to get fired...and make no mistake about it, Fulmer did not leave because he wanted to leave...just take a look at Fulmer's announcement tape. But, I do believe Fulmer will have a decent coaching spot next season if he wants to ciach next season...who knows about the buyout? Maybe if he coaches in the SEC, etc. he loses the cash...don't know...really don't care. Still, would be interesting to see Leach head to Tennessee and Briles to TTech. Hmmmmmmm.

I have already said on another post that I sense a second win this week! Gee, no one PM'd me to congratulate me on the win prediction last week. I wonder why????? SECOND WIN OF THE SEASON COMES THIS WEEK...UNT=Homecoming spoiler supreme!!!!! GO MEAN GREEN!!!!!

GO MEAN GREEN! It should be UNT vs Denver in the final game...two best teams fighting it out once again. However, the SBC is a conference where any of the top 4 or so teams could win this thing. UNT will have to be "on top of their game" to make it to the finals, but I am SURE they will. GO MEAN GREEN...Congrats on a great season...now...FINISH IT!

Folks, this isn't about who you voted for or why, it's just an acknowledgement that we are, indeed, blessed to be part of this historical time in our great nation's life. No matter which side wins today, we will either have our first black president or our first woman vice president. That, Mean Green Nation, is something I, for one, am gald I was around to witness. I was born in a time when neither was possible from a practical standpoint. Amazing, simply amazing. Sure, maybe it took too long for us to "get here" as a nation, but WE ARE HERE! Right now, TODAY! And, each and every one of us should thank GOD that we are seeing this happen right before our very eyes...not to mention that we should Thank GOD that we live in this great nation of ours! May God Bless and protect which ever candidate wins! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!

greenjoe....you stayed up how late? I am impressed...an "old guy" like you up until 2AM!!! You go, you the man! You used to stay up that late to try to "see" something else, but you probably forgot about that, right? An amazing run it certainly was and congrats to Tobe!!!!! POSITIVE PR FOR UNT!!!!!! YIPPEE!!!!! Great to see you at the Denton Alumni "Coach Meet and Greet" the other evening....hope to see you at the Alumni Center more often now that you know where it is located on campus!!!! GO MEAN GREEN!

Shaft...it just ain't THAT bad! I know you really are a Mean Green fan, and you have my respect and admiration and thanks for your support. If you are upset with the current coaching staff, well, consider those who were upset with the last staff who did not withdraw their support! It is UNT after all...home of the Mean Green...there are programs other than football you can support while you "remove" yourself from the football program until your idea of a "perfect coach" arrives...who knows, that might even turn out to be none other than our very own Coach Dodge if given a year or two more to get it turned around...we have all been "here before" and we have endured...we will endure these losses also, but we will do it TOGETHER as a united MEAN GREEN NATION. Please reconsider your rigid position on this and think about other programs you CAN support. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Huh, trade, what trade? Who is the "winner" in this one? Anybody?

SAD...had no idea you were so mad. If you really "can't stand" other MEAN GREEN NATION members, I truly feel sorry for you. I have been "dissed" or "trashed" or simply made "fun of" on this board as often as anyone, and folks do disagree with me from time to time...IMAGINE THAT..., but I would never call them the names you seem to be calling folks and I would certainly never want to distance myself from them. Stuff on this board is just that, stuff, I enjoy posting on this board and think others do too. You simply cannot take it as personal as you seem to be taking it. Yes, I get some interesting PM's too, but probably not as "interesting" as yours as I am not now nor do I ever want to be a moderator...tough and thankless job if you ask me...bless those who will endure the agony of doing so for the good of the rest of us mere mortals... Sorry to see you go...I hope you will not "stay gone" and I hope you will find some time away as reflective time to think about whether you really "can't stand" other Mean green nation members or whether you are simply a bit "put out" with some for the moment. Don't abandon ship!!!! There will be calm seas and follwing winds again! -
Today's Election Winner Is...
KRAM1 replied to UNTflyer's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Folks, this is a GREAT day to be a citizen of this nation of ours. I feel very fortunate to be able to witness history "up close and p[ersonal". We will have the largest turnout for a presidential election year in my lifetime, and not only that...no matter which way the election goes HISTORY will be made. This great nation of ours will either elect the first black president or the first female vice president! YOU ARE A WITNESS TO HISTORY. It will be great to say..."I voted in that historic election"! I hope you vote or have alreday voted. You will be glad you did! GO USA!!!! GO USA!!! GO USA!!! -
Someone always has to put a negative spin on things! Good grief...this is a GREAT STORY. How long has it been since UNT has gotten this kind of "play" from UT fans????? Come on...yes, there was some trash on the parking lots after the game...I walked through it too and wished I had a big bag to pick up the cans...but, it was, to me and my wife, a learning experince for UNT and its fans...when was the last time so many showed up to tailgate? It takes a bit of time to get some of the stuff right...for fans, for the school, etc. You know, this season there has been great tailgating too, and the trash in the lots after the games has been much decreased...it's a learning curve folks... GREAT STORTY...keep 'em coming! GO MEAN GREEN!!!

Why One Business In Denton Didn't Support Unt Football
KRAM1 replied to Green Dozer's topic in Mean Green Football
Good to see the comments about the Denton area businesses who support UNT...not just athletic programs but academically as well. I think, sometimes, our local business support gets a bit of a bad rap...there are many many businesses in Denton and the surrounding area that do a very nice job of supporting the Mean Green. We should all think about that when we look to do business around Denton, etc. I also think support is growing! And, yes, this is positive and this is another sign that good things are happening in Denton regarding UNT! GO MEAN GREEN! -
I will again throw my hat in this ring in support of a bit less "negative stuff" on this board. There is a difference between "placing one's head directly in the sand" and in doing one's best to support the team and it's coaching staff. On the other hand, it is way too easy to criticize everything that gos on and absolutely refuse to see any positive progress. Holding back one's support is much like saying "the floggings will continue until morale improves". This program needs our support...both $$$$ and "rerasrs" in the seats... I say it is time to sit back and chill a bit between WINS...let's see if this board cannot, at least for a few days, get back to being a great place for the Mean Green faithful. If you can only be so kind as to "play nice" for a day or two????

Thanks to all who met the team...did not know that was set...I guess I should have been on GMG.com last evening late....man, would love to have joined you folks,,,BUT, thanks to all who made the effort...I am sure the team appreciated the effort...GREAT FANS...just super...congrats and thanks to all who attended. Yiu folks are super...great to seer the positive....way too much negative on this board! GO MEAN GREEN!!!
-
Great win!!!! Really nce to see, and what an effort for the full 60 min! This is the team I have been expecting to see all season...and I am not talking about the win itself here. Nice job guys...just super! CONGRATU:ATIONS! It is amazing to me how even with a win some folks can only find something negative to say!!! But, then, my guess, they are pretty much negative folks all the time about everything...you, know...the glass is half empty kind of folks. That's OK, they can be as they choose...just keep supporting the mean green...GO MEAN GREEN! You will all, of course, recall that I predicted this win!!!!
-
I agree with GREEN DOZER...he makes some solid points...OK, now about that Florida State game...I was also in attendance...not many of us were, but I was and I had a date! Yes, a date was dumb enough to go with me to a North Texas game in the snow...ain't love grand? Anyway, i told here that the first team that scores will win due to the blizzard conditions. Well, North Texas scored first, but alas North Texas did lose! Now, you can see the truth...my predicting ability...or lact there of...goes back a long time! But, to the point...I was also in a meeting at then Western State Bank where I worked in denton at the time when Hayden Fry walked in to tell us he was leaving North Texas for Iowa. This was BEFORE he told the athletic dept. He even took a pencil out and drew the "new" Hawkeye logo he was going to put on the uniforms and hats!!! Pretty cool...he also drew us the "Flying Worm" when he first arriveed...anyway...He did in fact say that he really wanted to stay, but that he felt that the support from the administration, athletic dept and the fan base simply was not there nor would it be there anytime soon to build North Texas into the program he wanted it to be...and KNEW it could be with the support! TRUE STORY!!!!! Folks, that is a good bit of the reason I am so vocal about giving Dodge the opportunity to be successful right here and in pleading for everyone's support...and why I try to stay positive about the program and urge others to do so. North Texas LOST a great coach due to some of the same "stuff" some folks on this board what to make happen. So, Green Dozen...nicely laid out and nicely done. I am with you...GREAT POST. I hope folks actually read the post and then think long and hard about what you are really trying to share with them...no rushing to judgement and no "spelling and grammer" comments...jsut think about it folks...this is important. GO MEAN GREEN!

NICE...so was the pumpkin carved by Derrick Morgan's wife which was on display at the Alumni center last evening for the Coaches Meet and Greet sponsored by the Denton Alumni Chapter! She has amazing talent. If she can carve up a pumkin with a knife like she did, I would caution Derrick to be careful...be very careful!
