You mean credible sources such as Mr. Obama when he proudly proclaimed that America invented the automobile in his non-state of the Union speech this week? And then mentioned that the US was importing more foreign oil than ever at this time? NOT! And the Mr. Obama who claimed he would cut the deficit in half...which in reality means we will end up with (after he cuts it in half...if he can) an even larger deficit than we have today? You mean those credible sources???? Where is the main stream media crawling all over Mr. Obama as they did Mr. Bush when he made a mistake such as claiming the automobile was invented in America????? Just thought I'd stir the pot a bit more while we were still on this topic. Let's see how long we can keep this one going...agreed, however, that the tabloids are not very credible sources of information.

I've been to Queens, NY many times...there are plenty of affordable rentals in Queens. You may not want to live in the area where they are...but, the fact is...there are affordable rental properties in Queens. I am thinking this guy's ego is such that he could not stoop so low as to RENT! But, I am sure he is waiting for his Obama "free rent check" in the mail any day.

Any Chance This "quitter" Looks At Us?
KRAM1 replied to The Fake Lonnie Finch's topic in Mean Green Football
We have several good QB's right now. UNT does not need this kid. The QB position looks like it is in pretty good shape to me. Why would one even consider taking on this kid and all the baggage that comes with him? AS far as I am concerned, UNT is "good to go" at the QB spot. -

Oklahoma Passes
KRAM1 replied to eulesseagle's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Amazing to me how OKLAHOMA can be such a leader in this sort of thing...Immigration reform also. Oklahoma????? Of all states...who would have thought? -
Assuming the $million was a "windfall" of sorts, I would give at least 10% of it to UNT. Really, I would...then my "other universities" would get a cut, my bride and I would take a nice trip, make a few more donations to our favorite charities, non-profits and our church and then invest what's left. Oh, the joy of being able to give a bunch of $$$ to our favorite places. That would be so very much fun. It's fun just thinking about it. If I won the lottery I would love to give a bunch of it away (yes, of course I would keep "enough" to secure our retirement and help the family out too) so we could see what "ggod works" our donations could make before we were dead! CRITICAL...so very CRITICAL!!!!! How can two games be so very important to the survival of the human race? OK, but on a more serious note, I do hope UNT ends this two game stretch prior to the tournament with two wins. It would be great going to the play-in game on a roll with two back-to-back wins. GO MEAN GREEN!!!!

You guys can argue over what to call-it all you want...who cares...UNT is playing a game (how's that?) at the Super Pit next Wednesday. The winner goes to Hot Springs. Is that good enough for everyone???? Point is...get yourself to the Super Pit and in one of the seats for the game. Call it the friggin' SUPER BOWL or the WORLD SERIES or THE WORLD CUP (had to get a soccer reference in) if you want, I don't care, really, I don't, but I do care if you can't (or choose not to) be there IN PERSON to fill the Super Pit and support the Mean Green. Can somone on campus start a "Fill the Super Pit" campaign? How about a table near the Union beside the dumb SDS folks who want to re-vote of the football stdium. Let's get a table up to hand out fliers asking students, faculty and staff to actually show in BIG numbers for the game. The AMAZING PIT CREW needs some additional help for this one. See you there! Beer @ Six Flags
KRAM1 replied to NT03's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
This is a good thing. Other parks already allow beer sales and have had no reported problems. I see no problem as long as it is monitored properly and as long as the park enforces age restrictions. Heck, I ahven't been to 6-Flags in many yaers, but the wife goes every year when a gaggle of family with kids comes to Texas every summer for a visit. I might go this year with the group if I can have a beer or two to help the day along. It's going to be approved, so we'll definitely see what happens. The 6-Flags folks are not stupid, so if it hurts business, you can bet they dump the policy ASAP. You can vote with your entertainment dollars if you so choose. In spite of the left/socialist leaning administration we now have in Washington, capitalism works in the marketplace. Nice thing about it is, you have a say. Excerise your right to say whether you approve or not. Visit 6-Flags and have a beer, visit 6-Flags and don't have a beer (nice how you might have that choice, isn't it?) or don't visit 6-Flags at all. Just don't go to 6-Flags at the expense of buying MEAN GREEN SEASON football and basketball tickets. Now, that would be a bad thing. -

So, where is the state of Texas in all this? -
Play-in was not mis-speak. They are all "play-in" games and have been called such by the media as well as yours truly. You either win this game or you don't play in Hot Springs. Some teams have byes to the tournament. Play-in teams do not! If it were not a "play-in" game, all teams would be heading straight to Hot Springs. UNT has "won" the right to have a home play-in game and that is a very good and positve thing. I'll be there and hope the place will be "filled to the rafters". I am hoping that the students will finally decide they should at least walk across campus to a FREE game and support their team. These guys have played hard, have "won" a home play-in game and will do all they can to move ahead to Hot Springs...I hope the MEAN GREEN NATION does its part by filling the seats. GO MEAN GREEN!!!!

I'm with Charlient73 here...I like the position moves being made and the addition of Chatman is a very nice surprise indeed...a bigger surprise that he is eligible to play this season...just how did that happen? Don't care...I like it! I also like the coaching moves being made. I think this shows some "growth" in our head coach, and a willingness to get some more college level experience on his staff. The new strength and conditioning coach is having a nice and positive impact already (at least that's what I hear from some folks much closer to the program than I am), and the coaching position moves seem to make a great deal of sense. Looks like the team could be a great deal more "experienced" from a coaching standpoint in 2009 which should result in greater on-field success. Congrats to TD for making these coaching moves. Good to see the "open practice" scheduled for Friday, march 6th. Could be a fun evening for Mean Green fans. Good things are happening for the Mean Green Nation. Best of all...spring ball is here!!!!! GO MEAN GREEN!

GO Lasdies...keep it going with a good win (or two) against Okie State!!! You go team! I really liked the way the team went around the Super Pit at the basketball game recently and handed out game schedules. GREAT idea! Loved it and it was nice getting to see some of the players. NICE JOB Ladies! GO MEAN GREEN!

Forget last saturday's game...it was bad...OK, but I do think the team is playing much better of late than it did in the early stages of the season. Intensity seems to be "up", and I hope it stays that way this week going into the final two regular season games. I do not want to see us "back into" the play-in game on any type of losing streak. I bought my play-in tickets today, and I am looking for "GOOD THINGS" heading up to and incluuding that game. GO MEAN GREEN!

Isn't that RV's grand kid? I have seen RV at the games with the youngster several times. Thought it was his grand kid, yes?
-
Looks like play-in game tickets are on-sale now. At least if you are a season ticket holder. Got an email today alerting me to the fact that I could now purchase my season ticket "seats" for the home game next Wednesday at the Super Pit! I'm buying mine today!!!! GO MEAN GREEN!

I'm with Flyer on this thing...stop fretting over it. This is going NOWHERE except to the crap-can. The SDS folks might be laughing about all the PR they are getting. I think they are getting way more than they deserve. I don't think there is much, if anything, to worry about here. GO MEAN GREEN!

Now, this IS good news. With spring paractice here, the season cannot be that far away. Charlie nt73...nice post. Come on spring ball! GO MEAN GREEN!

Care to share at least what class and dept this relates to with the rest of us? I never had an instructor THAT bad in all my years of college...both at the undergrad and graduate levels. Is this a tenured professor or not? If tenured you have a "fat chance" of getting anywhere with your complaints/information. If not tenured, there is at least some hope. Quoner make a great point to document this stuff. Be very specific as to dates and times and what was done...when she arrived...when she left...what days classese were held and which days there were no classes. You know the drill. YOU may not get relief during this term, but you may "save" future students from this failure of an instructor! I would encourage you to keep these records and to talk to others in the class to do the same thing...that way you can not be accused of just being a disgruntled student who got a "68", etc. You will definitely need to go "up the food chain" with this, and if it is important to you and other students you should not stop until you get a meeting with the Dept. chair, the dean of the school/college and perhaps a VP level administrator. Do not go into the meetings with a "chip on your shoulder", do it professionally and calmly and let the folks "below" the person you intend to speak with know you are going...after you speak with them (if of course you get no satisfation at the lower levels). This "stuff" is VERY inportant to the quality of the education students are paying for at UNT and can harm the school's reputation as a place for a quality education if it is allowed to continue. OK, a bit of a soap box for me, but I was a TA in grad school and after completing my MBA at UNT I taught Finance 377 (or whatever it is called today) at UNT at night for several years. I took my job VERY seriously and did all I could to actually TEACH! My student evaluations were pretty good...even from students who did not receive A's or B's....but it was important to me that I did the best I could. I am sure that 99% of the instructors at UNT care and care very much about their students and the job they are personally doing in the classroom. It sounds like this person is just a "bad apple", but I have no first hand knowledge, of course. Sorry about the crappy class, it really bothers me to hear about this. Good luck in letting folks know. I do wish you well with that.

GOLF IS GOOD...UNT IS GOOD...GOLF AT UNT IS GOOD...good things are happening at UNT! I hope thhis team has a great speing season. This is one sport with a history of past success at UNT. UNT has a new coach and, I trust, some newly expanded support to help push it back to the top. GO MEAN GREEN. -
Obama Vs Reagan
KRAM1 replied to KRAM1's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Nope...I believe it could and would work again. The current policies of big government and nationalization have been tried many times...always have failed. But, we will definitely have to "wait" a bit to see in this case as the "die has been" cast as they say. And, it's a sure bet that we are in this thing until the end...and it will end. That's the good news in all this...this great nation of ours will, indeed, return to properity and probably a bit sooner than many people think...in spite of it all. USA-USA-USA!!!!! Oh, forgot, this isn't the Olympics, this is serious stuff! -

Yep...sure was. Critical thinking is not limited by "number of days in office".
