Will Riley's Speed Force Our Opponents Defense
KRAM1 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
I really don't think Riley is as "brittle" as some folks on this board seem to think. The kid played top level HS ball and was pretty darn healthy the whole way...yes, college ball is MUCH different and the hits are tougher, but the kid has shown the ability to move ariound. His speed will definitely be an asset. Yet, I do agree with harry that we'll see plenty of "dink and dunk" in the early games. But as the offensive line gets set as a group and as the offense progresses, i feel we will see Riley use his arm strength to throw some quality deep balls. You know, TTech has made a "career" going with the "dink and dunk". I'll bet here and now that if UNT wins early with the "dink and dunk" no one will be too overly worried about the lack of "downfield" throws. I am glad to see some positive thoughts and comments about Riley here...maybe it's just because the season is getting closer. What ever it is...good to see. GO MEAN GREEN. Have you bought your season tickets yet? If not...what are you waiting for...go get 'em. It will be a great season to be in the stands watching the Mean Green. -

In all respects...other than that atheist thing...it would be a good thing to be mixed up with Flyer! I might just have to take it as a compliment...the mixing us up part, that is..... -

Gm Sells Hummer To.........
KRAM1 replied to keith's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
PRICELESS! Way to go Keith. Now all the comrades will be driving hummers painted up with those red stars. Too funny. hey, let's sell them more of our junk...the more junk they buy the more they will be getting "fat and lazy" like all the "capitalists" and they won't be able to spend so much money on the military...they will be bailing out car companies building car brands no one wants...at least not enough people want them it seems. But, if you want a Hummer (the kind you drive that is...stay out of this Michael Scott) the price may be much lower...those sweat shops and slave labor guys don't cost much. The Gulag edition Hummer...I can see it now! -

Yes, and just how did EagleD confuse me with "Michael Scott" in the first place??? That's the humor in this for certain. Glad to have you around "Michael Scott"...you might want to help EagleD get his facts straight. -
Maybe that's the "change" he kept talking about during the campaign...no middle name allowed during the campaign...middle name OK after winning presidency so he can effectively kiss the backside of every Muslim nation in the world. That's change we can all believe in.....can't wait to see what he apologizes for in Egypt. Nice post, Flyer...the truth does make some folks revert to "well Bush did this and Bush did that" as their only response. Funny, isn't it? I wonder how long it will be before our more liberal friends start holding BHO and his administration responsible for what they are doing? It's not my fault, Johnny did it too....boo hoo...boo hoo... the little boy cried when he was caught throwing roks at school.

NEVER...NEVER...NEVER EVER...EVER HAVE I CLAIMED TO BE AN ATHEIST. I would love for you to show me where you came up with that piece of incorrect information? I expect for you to correct this post of yours IMMEDIATELY. And, before you post something like this again, you might want to check your facts. You definitely have me mixed up with someone else. Good grief...get it straight...PLEASE!!!!! -
Murray State Edges North Texas For College Bass Title
KRAM1 replied to UNTflyer's topic in Mean Green Athletics
Who Knew???? Way to go UNT squad. Good things are happening for the UNT Bass fishing Squad! Are there plans underway to build a UNT Bass Fishing lake/arena/stadium????? Maybe at the pond of the old Golf Course???? What do you say? UNT could be the first with a "green tech" home fishing stadium!!!! GO MEAN GREEN! Is this a co-ed event? If not we better watch out for Title IX compliance issues when it becomes an NCAA sanctioned team sport! YOU GO UNT fishing team!!!! Rumor has it that we will add Bass Fishing before baseball! Don't tell anyone...it's a secret! -

KRAM1 replied to UNT90's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Props to you for the reply...just what i was looking for...some thoughtful, positive insight from a "baseball guy" about the current situation the Rangers find themselves in with a tough 13 game stretch against teams with winning records. Much appreciate the reply and insight. Tough "slaughter" last night to open the 13 games, but I still think 7-5 is possible. But, .500 (tough to be .500 on a 13 game stretch!) or close too it would probaably be fine and leave them in 1st. Thnaks again, GGB. -

Your time is valuable????? Give me a break. I've read some of your stuff. You are such a baseball guy, I actually wanted to see your opinion. What was I thinking? Should never have thought you would responded in a positive manner. Sorry to have awakened you from your slumber. "Valuable time"...now that is priceless. -

Only one...where's GreenGuyBass and Green bat??? Come on you baseball folks...give this some thought and let's hear from you guys. CBL...good input...I, too, think 7-6 would be excellent in the next 13, but come on you baseball folks....where are you? Do I need to say something about soccer to get a response out of you? -

This is a tough issue...whichever side of the question you are on, in the case of this murder it comes down to "man's judgement" at this time and not God's. Dr. Tiller will answer to God for his deeds and actions while alive on earth, but the killer of Dr. Tiller MUST answer to "man's justice". And, "murder" is illegal in the United States. Everyone will answer to God at the appointed time, but, no matter how one feels about abortion (is it murder, or is it not????), it is NOT in the eyes of the courts...man's courts. That is the difference. When/if the laws ever change, then one could say that Dr. Tiller was as guilty of murder as the killer of Dr. Tiller and have the courts take the appropriate action. Until then, whether we like it our not, Dr. Tiller is not a murderer in the eye's of the courts in the US, but the shooter may well be (depends upon the outcome of his trial I would say). Me, I think it is a state issue and should be sent right back to each state to decide. The federal government has no constitutional right to be involved in this issue...but, following the above logic, until the time comes when the states are given back their due rights to decide, we have to go with the federal laws in this case. Sometimes, one has to take the emotions out of the issue to find some consolation in such a challenging issue for many folks. For, me, I know which side I stand on for this issue, but it is not one I choose to debate "on-line". -
STAY away...UNT and JJ does not need the one year distraction that this kid would be. I agree with the thought that this guy is a "one and done" player. Let someone else have the headaches and the disruptions.

UNT 28 - Georgia 24!!! GREAT things are happening for UNT by the time this game rolls around. You heard it here first!!!!! Hey, if you are going to dream...dream big. Can't hurt and doesn't cost a thing.

OK, basball experts out there...GreenGuyBass, GreenBat, etc. The Rangers play their next thirteen (13) games against teams with winning records and several "on the road"...I really don't know how many road games in the next thirteen...but they do go to NY (Yankees) and Boston...they also play the Jays and the Dodgers. This stretch seems to me to be fairly significant for how the team will fare the rest of the year, but since there are so very many many games in a season, i thought I'd ask the experts two things...anyone please: 1) How many will the Rangers win out of the next 13? and 2) How significant is this thirteen game stretch? -

MURDER IS NEVER THE ANSWER! My prayers go out to Dr. Tiller and his family. I hope the guy who gunned him down gets what he deserves from the courts...you can decide for yourself what that might be. -
This is an interesting read from Pravda. Seems our Russian "friends" see what's happening to America in an "interesting" light. Take a look at the article. Just interesting reading...reminds me of some of the articles in our papers when the "fall of communism" was being reported....you have to wonder. Pravda: American capitalism gone with a whimper American capitalism gone with a whimper 27.04.2009 Source:Pravda.Ru URL: http://english.pravda.ru/opinion/columnist...an_capitalism-0 It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people. True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists. Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters. First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish. Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America. The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe. These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them? These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters. Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions. So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride. Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "freeman" whimper. So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive. The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left. The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker. Stanislav Mishin The article has been reprinted with the kind permission from the author and originally appears on his blog, Mat Rodina © 1999-2009. «PRAVDA.Ru». Folks, folks, folks...listen up now. I will say it again...this administration is all about POWER...nothing fair about anything they do. If they can embolden and pander to their power base (think Sotomayor) they will. If they can "cut-out" opponents, or even precieved opponets, they will. If you think this was just coincidence you are living in a dream world. But then, some folks are living in a dream world and support this administration's move to take the US as left as they can in as short a time as they can before foklks really start waking up to what is actually going on in Washington. Think POWER GRAB by the left...POWER grab by the left. They care ABSOLUTELY nothing about your health care (or mine), your personal rights, the environment, etc. They care about how they can manipulate these issues to increase their power base. This should be no surprise to anyone! But, there is good news...Mean Green Football will kick-off soon!
