Fine by me. Experience looks good. If he can relate to the WR's and get them focused and the staff, we might just have a winner here! Glad to see things getting done before spring practice.

Really? Hey, I'm pretty proud of 7th given my recent record of predicting UNT football wins. CBL....many thanks for setting this up. It was fun and your efforts are appreciated.

Not a big fan of expanding to 96. Waters it down way too far. Let's just let everyone play and get a trophy at the end sort of thing.
-
I do tend to agree with these comments.

Did they actually "have it all"? Maybe from the "financial" side, but it seems many lack something much more important when it comes to what really matters. -
Great job...many thanks.

OK, you get a +1 from me for that comment! My kids would agree with you 100% but I cannot give up the "real thing" with a cup of morning java!

Did you check out the newspaper itself? The Mean Green is all over the college sports section with photos, etc. I think we need to be a bit "careful" about the "rage" here. I think today's coverage in the paper itself is great and appropriate..UNT even got a small photo and "preview" on page 1 regarding the inside story. And, there were two color photos! Probably a bit of a difference between the printed edition and the on-line edition. No BigXII photo in the printed edition I received at home this morning. Sure it was the "top" story, but UNT's first and largest photo was "top of the fold" on page 3, with the story and a second photo just below the fold on p. 3. Above the Conference USA and SMU line as well. I, too, would like to see the DMN give a tad more "respect' to the Mean green, and am often unhappy with the scant coverage UNT gets, but I am not too sure that UNT fans should go too overboard with their rage regarding today's coverage. Anyway, great day for the Mean Green Nation. GO MEAN GREEN!

Sorry, Rick. I have to disagree with you on this one...NOTHING I own, no matter what shade of green or any other color with the name on it of our great University will ever EVER be used to clean up oil spills nor will they ever be used as rags. -

This sort of stuff really saddens me. It just keeps coming.....It just tells folks that you need to "get involved" and you need to vote. You need to do what you can to support candidates who you personally have researched, read about, heard speak, know something about, know of their backgrounds, etc. A person seems inclined to "say anything" to get elected these days (what ever happened to personal integrity?), but if you can find enough info about the persons "actions" before running for election you might actually have the hope of supporting someone who will stand with you and your ideas of a "just and great" nation, state or locality. In reality, it matters not which party you support as long as you know...actually know...what it is you think you are supporting. Way too many people run a great campaign, but the second they take the oath of office you can't even recognize them. Party is of no significance. -
If the timing is correct, I sure hope those that can be there will welcome home the 2010 SUN BELT CHAMPS in style. They have earned some "props" from the fans and students. GO MEAN GREEN.

+1 for you!

So very proud of these guys and so very happy for them. They played their hearts out and they willed this thing to happen. Each time they got down in the tournament someone stepped up to "make a play" that got the team back on track. I think George had a tremendous tournament, but so did Eric, Josh, and on and on and on to a man. Each player contributed and JJ was a master at setting his defenses and handling the timeouts and subs. Just a great time to watch the Mean Green and be a member of the great Mean Green nation. It was great seeing all the green on TV last night and recognizing so many of the great UNT fans who were able to make the trip. I am 100% certain each who could make the trip will remember it for a lifetime. Simply wonderful. It a GREAT DAY for the MEAN GREEN Nation. On to the NCAA's...well deserved...well EARNED! GO MEAN GREEN!!!!

And, win the Mean Green will...The guys are on a roll and playing great. GO MEAN GREEN. A win tonight will be the best response to jjt's jab!
-
Perhaps someone with the skills to do so should pass this piece on to both jjt and the DMN sprts editor as a display of what "sports writers" report.
-
Nice job. Thank you.

Perhaps someone would be so kind as to send him a little note and remind him about UNT and UTA. I am thinking UNT could take both TCU and SMU right now....and, of course, UTA! Whose Number 1 in the Metroplex???? THE MEAN GREEN of course. GO MEAN GREEN...Beat Troy!

OK, well, how's that for honoring one's word? So be it. This sort of thing is not all that unusual in the world of coaching these days...sad, but true I suppose. I have to believe that Coach Dodge is set with another candidate. Perhaps one that truly will see the opportunity that is the Mean Green today. And, one that means it when he says he wants to be part of the team that makes it happen. Good luck to Coach Peterson...I guess it wasn't meant to be. GO MEAN GREEN! -
My thoughts and prayers are with you, Brett, and your family at this time. Remember, the good times as I am sure there were many. May God great you and your family peace in your time of sorrow.

Interesting article. Good to see the positive PR in the DRC. I'll bet that young Mister Shorter never talked back to grand ma! WOW!

A report in today's Wall Street Journal indicates that Nebraska has sold...that's SOLD... 57,700 tickets to its April 17th spring game SO FAR! At this rate they will probably sell out for the spring game! WOW! I know UNT is not Nebraska, and that UNT does not have the "tradition within its fan base to fill a stadium for the spring game. So, I am not trying to compare the two. However, I do think it is great that Nebraska can do this and I look forward to the day when UNT will build a BIG EVENT around its spring game. I am looking forward to being there this year, and think the Sunday date might help attendance, tailgate efforts, etc. I give Nebraska all the "props" for what it is doing, and will look forward to UNT having its largest ever spring game turnout. By then we will all need a good football "fix"...tailgating allowed!!!!! GO MEAN GREEN... 57,700 tickets SOLD so far!!!!! I can only dream...but, you never know with the new stadium what might just happen with UNT's fan base....
