  1. Could you at least do something half-way original? I think Quoner may have been the first one to post that tired old lame cartoon. Geeeezzzzzz, if you can't be original, don't post anything at all. Didn't your mother tell you that when you were growing up? Oh, I forgot, you still live with your mother!
  2. Yes...it was the post that got a few -1's and I thought it was worth replying to....I generally know what I am doing...BUT, don't ask my wife to confirm that....she might give me away!
  3. I only know what my tickets will cost per seat. I have heard nothing regarding overall ticket prices as yet.
  4. And, yet still the students do not attend.
  5. I had heard that RV said there would be no announcements during the off-week. I don't know if that means there will be an announcement of something next week or not...the statement was not made by RV directly to me, but it was passed on to me.
  6. WOW you brought that up as something to joke about?
  7. WOW...I din't know there were so many entertainment radio fans on this sports board. Seems I struck a nerve here....my guess is that many of you who gave me all the -1's hardly ever listen during drive time...especially in the afternoons. Nothing more than entertainment...if you want sports you will be very hard pressed to get it on the KTCK unless you are lucky enough to catch GreenGuyBass or Dunham and Miller. You folks are so touchy these days....
  8. Really? You never made it into the stadium?
  9. Lack of community events? I don't get this...RV is constantly doing community events. He has been to many many community events just in the last month and I never go a month without noticing him at some sort of community event. The guy work seven days a week from sun up to way past sun down. To say his biggest failure is "community events" is simply uninformed. Or, perhaps you don't attend community events. In that case, it is certainly possible that you would not have seen him. The last event where he was in attendance and also attend by my wife and I...RV was having to leave that event early to participate in a second event that very evening. The guy is all over the place constantly. Probably one of the "hardest working men in show biz"! If "quarterly meetings" is what you define as "community events" you are missing more than one beat. RV is one of the most accessible AD's in college football. You may can blame him for some things, but not "community events". Good grief...
  10. Turn it on and listen. If it wern'r for a few like Dunham & Miller and our very own Green Guy Bass it could not even be called Sports radio.
  11. Well, just have to mention the OUTSTANDING cookies that Eulessismore's bride made and I was so fortunate to munch on yesterday while at the Alumni tent in the tailgate area. I am not sure what goes in them, but was told there was a SECRET INGREDIENT. Hmmmmmmmm...I wonder if they are a throwback recipe from the 60's???? YUMMY...VERY YUMMY indeed...many many thanks for sharing. Had to be one of the highlights of my tailgate experience yesterday!
  12. The Ktck is hardly a sports talk station any longer.
  13. College experienced offensive coordinator that some here want to hire as the next head coach perhaps? The offensive game plan last evening gave UNT absolutely ZERO chance of winning that game last evening. I know you have to "water it down" for a 4th team QB making his first few D1 starts, but that was ridiculous. It was obvious in the first couple of possessions that something needed to be changed...it wasn't. result...obvious. And, once again...or should I say "still"...tackling on the D-side of the ball was poor at best. Still cannot figure out how such an experienced college D-Coordinator cannot get his players to understand the very basics in tackling skills. To me, that is coaching...has nothing to do with whether you think you have the right players suited up or even on the roster. Again, a pretty amazing display of the lack of this skill on the defensive side of the ball. I really do have to admit...that was one bad game last evening. I am having trouble trying to remain positive about that display from our two coordinators and HC last evening. OK, on the plus side...special teams looked a bit better...nice FG and nice return, punting still a plus (but still too many punts). It was sad to see so many people leave that game so early...and on homecoming no less.
  14. Nice to know you still care. I really think you need to check out the definition of passive-aggressive. Seems to be one of your favorite words, but you do seem to use it in some "interesting" situations. I live with a behavior analyst, so am pretty up on the concept. Maybe we should meet up and discuss it over a nice cold beer. As the song says..."God is Great...Beer is Good...and People are Crazy"!
  15. We do have a reading comprehension problem on this board.
  16. Agree with you. Just let the media chat after they come out of the locker room. Seems too simple a solution. The idea still seems odd to me that women are allowed into a men's locker rooms where male reporters are not allowed into women's locker rooms immediately after games. Seems like a double standard to me.
  17. "Truth is to be found in the process of verification,,,ideas are instruments and plans of action"...that pragmatic enough for you? Just trying to give you a little hope. Don't go all Hippie on us now! Basketball season is close at hand.
  18. Is Bush still President? I must have missed that somewhere...just like Obama...when all else fails...Blame Bush. The guy hasn't been President for some time...just in case you have missed that. In fact, Bush has been the complete gentleman since leaving office in respecting the office enough not to even talk about what a sorry job Obama is doing. By the way., I don't "lean right". There is no leaning to it as I stay definitely to the right of center on most issues when it comes to the economy and defense. Social issues, well that's another matter altogether.
  19. Never ever questioned his loyalty. Wouldn't do that. Sorry you cannot seem to get the point of the post. I am guessing you don't even try. So be it...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
  20. If I could give you 20 +1's I would...well said. Excellent post, young man!
  21. Will you have a few Hooter's Girls with you?
  22. Nope, was out of the country. I have been told the team gave up in that game. If so, that is too bad, but they did witness their second QB go down with a season ending injury, right? So, did they give up, or were they simply "shell shocked"? Don't know...wasn't there, but have been to several homes games. All losses, of course. Watched them play Clemson on TV, etc. And, I have seen a team that has not quit, and I do not expect them to quit this Saturday or the next or the next. The only people I see quitting or some "fans" who have stated they have given up and won't be attending any more games this season or until UNT has a new head coach, etc.
  23. I truly believe he is an apologist and wants to be liked by the rest of the world so much that he will "short" his own country to look good in the eyes of the rest of the world. The guy is OUR President, not the President of the world. He has tried that "let's all just sit down and talk thing" and it didn't go too well. I have seen his speech and have watched the talking heads on ABC, NBC and CBS, CNN and MSNBC ignore the American efforts entirely. In fact, truth be known, I have not even watched FOX news for the last week. Hard to believe for me, but true. On another note...I give to many other charities and organizations as well as UNT...how about you Doc? In fact, my wife and I gave much more than what has been reported that many of our politicians personally gave and we make considerably less than they do...by a long shot. I spent last weekend at a wedding in Eureka Springs, Ark. That "rural" enough for you? All I could think of half the time was the movie "Deliverance" and the music to "Dueling Banjos" as I witnessed car after car with Obama stickers on them. Obama cares about Obama and turning this nation left...he is the by far poorest president in my lifetime (and that goes back to Truman)...I hate to say it, but even worse than Jimmy Carter! No amount of fly fishing in Broken Bow, OK will change that...and, yes, I believe President Obama is doing his best to apologize to everyone he can around the world while he does his best to turn this great nation of ours into a second-class "citizen". Interesting how people say the US is not well liked...may be, but what nation is the first called when tragedy strikes around the world? This nations gives more money, more human volunteer hours and more aid of all types to people around the world than any other nation. Apologize for that if you will. I am very hopeful that I will feel much better on November 3rd. Now, Dr. EagleGreen as you were so kind and thoughtful as to tell me what I should do.....
  24. Yes, your replies are definitely increasingly ridiculous.
