  1. Excellent....glad to have him as a member of the great Mean Green nation.
  2. Way too early to count anyone in or out. Seems Newt was "left for dead" early on but has been gaining steadily in recent weeks. Again...way too early to be calling this race either way or for any candidate. But, that being said...looks like neither Cain or perry are doing themselves much good at the moment...at the moment. Must wait to see where it all goes. Patience, Grasshoppers.
  3. One might question the sanity of that young lady of which you speak, but, you appear to be a lucky fella....must have moved up the food chain to latch on to this lady. Watch yourself!
  4. I don't even think you believe this. Cunning has nothing to do with the cheating you expressed support for in your earlier posts. I'd say Joe Paterno and plenty of folks at Penn State certainly followed your flawed logic and did, in fact, put themselves first. How'd that work out for a bunch of young boys and Penn State?
  5. OH, HAPPY DAYS!!!!!! Good things are happening at UNT these days! Good indeed!
  6. I mentioned several times last evening how proud I was of the student turnout. Should have been even bigger and I think it will be, but for an exhibition...great job students. Where were the regular fans and alums? My section was pretty empty and it usually has a good crowd. Maybe waiting fir the fist game that counts Friday...hope so. I had estimated the crowd at 1800 - 2500...really can't see how it was 3800, but I'll take it! Let's get 5000+ in there for Friday's game. This team is going to be deep when Franklin and Mitchell hit the floor. Sure, a tad on the sloppy side last evening...and will be for a few games, but you could just tell this team is going to be good. Jones is the real deal and while I was a tad disappointed in Williams I saw enough to make me believe he will be just fine. See you Friday at the Super Pit!
  7. You have a girlfriend? Does she know that you don't have any cattle?
  8. Sad...I think your moral compass might just be broken. But, at least you are honest in admitting to your lack of integrity in this area (note I said this area). That's better than those who try to act pious and then cheat their way to the top. Got to hand it to you for the honesty.
  9. I will say it again...the NCAA should immediately announce that any Penn State player is allowed to transfer to any other school (at any level and in any conference) he wishes immediately or anytime after the season ends with immediate playing eligibility! As a parent, I would not want my son associated with that program for even one second longer. Many of these players could easily transfer and play elsewhere. DISGUSTING AND SICKENING...I had someone try to rationalize the Joe Paterno and McQueray situation to me last evening...that person seriously needs to rethink his moral compass in my opinion. "Legal" has nothing at all to do with it...Pontius Pilate may have done the legal thing...and then he washed his hands of the matter....Everyone at Penn State seems to have followed Pontius Pilate's lead! "Well, I covered my rear end legally, who cares what continues to happen to those kids...I did the right thing legally". Oh, sure...it stops there, right? DISGUSTING...SIMPLY DISGUSTING.
  10. I'm counting this one as a road win by the Mean Green. Thompson comes back in a big way, the team is inspired and the Mean Green leave Troy victorious by the tune of: Mean Green: 38 Troy: 27 D comes up big in the 4th qtr with two take-a-ways (fumble and interception) to seal the deal!
  11. Good question...why not ask the AD or Student Services? Not too early to start rallying the troops.
  12. Correct, Sir! +1 for you......
  13. Agree with you. Appreciate the positive post.
  14. Would UNT folks be talking about "greedy b....s" if UNT was already in the Big XII, SEC or any other AQ conference? Come on folks. These universities are just doing what they think is in their own best interests. Do you not think that UNT is making decisions based on what is in its best interest as well? Last time I looked NCAA D-1 football was a pretty expensive proposition. And, folks here have been clamoring for UNT to spend more on coaching salaries, recruiting, facilities, scholarships and on and on. Where do you think the money comes from? The good graces and charity of other institutions? I believe these schools are doing what they think they need to do to stay in the top tier or move to the top tier. This sort of name calling stuff seems like the class warfare bunk the have nots always throw up to the haves. Geeeeeeezzzzzzz, Louise!
  15. He should be retiring at the end of Wednesday 11/9!
  16. Excellent news...and I was told just last evening by a very loyal UNT fan that UNT would still not be able to compete for kids who were being recruited by the likes of Big XII schools. Well, looks like that is just not the case any longer. I firmly believe that UNT has something to "sell" and that something is beginning to pay dividends. It is time for the Mean Green nation to BELIEVE and start acting and talking like they believe! Excellent news...just excellent. Now, let's hold onto this kid and get him actually signed. GOOD THINGS ARE DEFINITELY HAPPENING AT UNT THESE DAYS!!!!!
  17. But, Silver, I thought she went on and married you anyway... Couldn't resist. having fun, no?
  18. Took a few of he coins to the Coach Mac radio show last evening and sold over 10% of the total supply. First two were sold to none other than our former Chairman of the Board of regents, Mr. C. Dan Smith. If you are interested and would like a coin, please remember there is a very limited supply. You may reserve one by PM'ing me or you can order through the mail with the order form attached in this thread. Where are all the basketball folks? When you see the coin you will LOVE it! Don't miss out. Great coin for your collection with the Apogee coin as it's partner. EDIT: Remember...proceeds go to help fund UNT student scholarships.
  19. NCAA should immediately announce than any Penn State player wishing to transfer will have immediate eligibility at any school in any conference willing to accept the transfer! I would not want my name associated with this program at this time in any way shape or fashion. Penn State should be very much ashamed of itself. The handling of this goes beyond stupid. Perhaps it reflects some of the arrogance associated with such programs. Don't know, don't care. But, this is far worse than I could ever imagine. Sickening.
  20. Define "us". I agree...some sold out. There is a right way and a wrong way to question authority. To each his/her own. Stay true...PEACE Brother! Just got to love those folks who never grew past the 60's.
  21. But, but...in another thread you made similar comments about and to Flyer....you were against him before you were for him...I think I've got it! Flip-floppin' away...flip-floppin' away. At least stick with it a little longer than the first time someone challenges you to back up your comments...the "I'm just not going to bother responding" doesn't do much for your cause.
  22. Who cares. The Mean Green will take care of business on the court and not in some prediction article in a magazine.
  23. Well, the important question was asked already....do they have any interest in North Texas? Sure, both players mentioned look like they could help the Mean Green. If Coach Mac wants to chat with them and they are willing, great. Let's get it done. If there isn't any interest on either side of the equation, it's just another kid who signed with the "big school" to find out life is not always "fair" and that perhaps it isn't only the glare of the big time that needs to be considered when making a college choice.
  24. And, you know this is true at this time, how?
  25. Bye Bye Mo...was nice knowing you and having you be a stepping stone in the Big XII for so many years. better go ask Arkansas what life will be like in the SEC for the next several years. It's a decision schools have to make for themselves and a decision that they think will be in their best interests. So be it...good for MO if that's what they think they needed to do. Life will definitely move along for the Big XII and the SEC with or without Missouri. Seems this is the "new norm" for college athletics these days. It will be good when this is all over and everyone can get back to concentrating on playing ball. Good luck in the SEC.
