Well, yes...it definitely "is what it is" and it's done. So, what's a Mean Green fan to do now? Well, he can do what's in his power to do. Support the team the best way he can...not much else to be done now. Fretting over it and slashing one's wrist will do nothing but leave an ugly scar on one's wrist. So, we have five games at home...can't do anything about it and posting on message boards won't change it...so, for me...it's off to Apogee for five games this next season and hopefully a road trip or two depending upon schedules. When UNT registers that seventh win this next season perhaps the theory of "just win and they will turn out" will be proven correct. I sure hope the Tuesday night game is well attended...hopefully, our students will turn out in force to help offset the out of town fans who may not be able to make it for a weekday game. This should be a game the local area, the City of Denton and the stuident body get behind to help drive attendance. Hey, could happen.... See you at Apogee for those five home games. Just win, baby, win!

OK, I know I am very low-tech, but I can't find the RV Podcast that was recorded yesterday. Is it up as yet and where do I find it if it is? I looked in the Podcasts site, but had no luck. HELP!

I guess not. I thought these teams had decent mechanics and equipment....what type of car was that that hit the dryer truck? I've seen the video footage, I recall it was Montoya driving...was he in a Ford, Chevy or what? Can't these guys figure out how to install a steering wheel that works? How much do they get paid????? Wow, I think my mechanic down at Calvert's could do a better job than that and they don't charge near as much as these "best of the best" mechanics make.... OK, just having some fun here...don't get excited and let's not check our sense of humor at the door either. I get the fact that NASCAR is super popular, and I truly appreciate the fan-friendly nature of NASCAR. Lots of other professional sports organizations could do well to take a hard look at NASCAR's fan-friendly structure.

But, of course, Obama is never responsible. He can make the promise...not suggestion mind you, but emphatic promise and then not come through and blame it on everyone but himself and that A-Ok, right? How about checking into the matter a bit further BEFORE you open your big mouth and make that promise...and then not come through? Ever think of that one???? Geeeeeeezzzzzz, when will this guy EVER be held accountable for anything that doesn't go his promised way? The apology masters and excuse makers for Obama must have to stay up 24 hours a day working on who and what they can blame next. The blame Bush thing is getting a bit old...but, rest assured it will play a major role in O's re-election campaign....we cam all here it now...I inherited this mess, it wasn't me, I tried it was that nasty congress, "other" things and other people tied my hands, the President can't do everything, those nasty Supreme Court Justices and that pesky Constitution keep getting in my way, and on and on to nausea!

All these guys do is turn left and race in circles...can you not miss a dryer truck on the track if you are such a good driver!? Geeeeeeezzzzz, Louise. Seems Daytona was a bit snake bit this year...better luck next year guys...and gals. Daytona is NASCAR'S SUPER BOWL...never have quite figured out why the premier race is the first one of the year...seems that it makes the whole season a bit anti-climatic, but who cares...it's a great race and a great venue. Too bad the "Super Bowl" had so many problems this year...sure glad it wasn't in Dallas and that Jerry Jones had absolutely ZERO to do with it. Seems the weather Gods didn't like Daytona this year any more than they did Dallas' Super Bowl! OUCH!

A couple of points here... 1) Good for them for sticking with their beliefs... 2) They knew the drill coming into the UIL...no surprise here 3) The UIL knew the situation as well....long before they set the schedule 4) What would have been so hard in scheduling this team to play earlier in the day? No, not to change the schedule after it's set, but to at least try BEFORE they set the schedule? Anyway...again it seems that it really isn't "all about the students". Too bad....both sides knew the drill...seems like someone scheduled the game to "make a point"...just sayin.....

I tend to agree with GrandGreen here that the Blelt could use some re-branding after it expands, etc. I have no problem with DeepGreen's suggested name either...I like the sound of "American Intercollegiate Conference".

I think theaboove three are excellent questions...I would place #3 at #2...but I like all three.

PLEASE don't ask this question...I have already proposed this to RV and we are in the discussion stage...don't want him to think I've "gone public" to try to call his hand on this...good question, but plaese...already being worked on in private as it should be.

I seem to recall that at the recruiting event at Apogee it was announced that the Spring game was APRIL 21st at 2:00PM at Apogee. Anyone else recall that?
