  1. If you arrive early there is plenty of street parking available around campus and in dorm lots (other than Victory hall of course)...and, one can park at Fouts for a small fee...if you arrive late, about your best shot would be to pay and park at Fouts. If you don't mind walking a bit (not much further...if any further at all than many folks have to walk on college game days around the country) lots of available parking on the streets around campus. Thanks for coming! GO MEAN GREEN!
  2. Happy to see Coach Dodge having some success at marble Falls...that program has not had a lot of success in recent years. Coach Dodge will get that program going in the right direction...way to go Coach Dodge...remember the navy game at UNT?
  3. Corn...they float and fly better!
  4. Excellent...you are correct about AA...it's not AA by the way...it's the pilots and the pilots alone! Keeping all fingers and toes vrossed for you!
  5. Is that South Carolina? Thank you, Sir and welcome back!
  6. Welcome Home!
  7. Billy may have coached his last rodeo after this.....sad. Benford stays at UNT...UNT gave him his shot and he has a great team to build with and a great situation here at UNT...brand new practice facility in the making as well. Big mistake to even think about going to the "wasteland" that is, at the moment, Texas Tech basketball. Just my opinion.....
  8. Why are so many folks jacking with their phones instead of paying attention and getting ready for the action?
  9. It's a little NW of Denton.
  10. Indeed it is going to be a very Green day in Denton Saturday...and I hope we have a very mad bunch of special teams players who really go out and make a statement against Troy!
  11. Can't season ticket holders buy extra parking passes in these lots? If so, maybe some season ticket holder who lives near the stadium could go buy and buy one and get it to you for face value...just thinking...don't lknow as I do not park in the blue/red lots.
  12. Not worried abouit next year until this year is in the books. Sorry, if I knew I'd let you know...but...I'm too focused on Saturday's game to worry about next year.....Are you serious or just trying to stir up the "RV can't schedule good teams" crowd again. ha!
  13. God luck...and keep us posted on the adventure!
  14. Quite possibly....why doesn't the guy just offer to give them to someone who can attend? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
  15. Just where in the heck did this come from? How in the world can you make such a statement? This sort iof statement just blows me away...some folks are just not looking. Either that or they refuse to acknowledge all the stuff going on these days all over campus leading up to game days. One can only do so much...yes, we could all do more and so could the university, but if anyone thinks the university isn't trying today compared to what it was doing just 3-4 years ago...well, you just simply are not looking or refuse to see. More to come yes indeed...more ideas, more activities, but at some point the fan base, alumni and students have to step up...when the school and athletic dept. beats its collective heads against a brick wall time and time again and when Coach Mac does all he can do and still no student, fan and/or alum turnout to compare to the efforts exerted, well...those efforts will not increase...and might just decrease. Time for the fans, the students, the alumni and YES...the community in and around Denton to do its part as well. I see this as a two way street. Very tired of all the folks who want to be spoon fed and take no responsibility for what THEY CAN do.....Seriously? The University doesn't want a full stadium, really? I was on campus just yesterday and saw signs, saw announcements regarding Tailgating on the Hill, flyer's about Family Weekend that included the game and the Friday night pep rally and on and on and on...just what is the administration to do? They already seem to be doing quite a bit.....I got emails this week from the Mean Green Club about the game...you are a Mean green Club member, right? I saw posters up all over town with the schedule...in fact I saw a new one at my cleaners in Denton on Teasley Lane just yesterday and wondered why I had not thought of that one when delivering posters around town before the season...I also believe that the Denton-Record Chronicle has ads in it about each game...I am at a loss as to where such sentiment as above comes from these days....
  16. Heck, Man, it's the great Mean Green Nation and you are FAMILY!!!!! We may bicker here about a multitude of things, but at the end of the day, we are all members of the Mean Green Nation! And, that's all that matters to me! At least that's the way i see it!
  17. BE THERE! FILL UP APOGEE...let's show the nation what the Mean green Nation and its fan base is all about...come on, you know you can be there...get a baby-sitter lined up now if you need to do so, get someone to watch the dog if you must, but get to Apogee for this game. It will be great fun and you don't want to miss being part of this Tuesday night adventure! BE THERE...be there early and tailgate!
  18. You are going to love...LOVE...Apogee after spending your years at Fouts. Welcome to the game...really excited to have you....AND...thanks for making the effort to support the Mean Green this weekend!
  19. That's true, but it also has never had the support behind it that it has this time around....so, here's thinking this time around it might just be different and successful. The key is involvement...involvement from Alums, from the UNT administration, from the Alumni staff and from other student organizations. If this group "does stuff" and doesn't just meet for an hour every two weeks or so, it will flourish and grow. UNT has the leadership in place, it seems to be behind this program...so, to me, it seems to have every chance in the world to be successful. Shame on all of us if it doesn't succeed this time!
  20. I hope the so-called fans and alums and students are listening and also do what they can do as well as RV and Company.....attend the darn game and support the Mean Green! The days of blaming everyone else for low turnstile counts should be over...time to look in the mirror and see the answer. Edit: Why in the heck should this give you a warning? I see nothing to warrant such in your post.
  21. Welcome aboard....going to be great being in CUSA!
  22. I know the Alamodome sells beer, but is this the case for the UTSA games as well????? Tell me YES...Tell me yes!!!!!!
  23. Well...#2 is the most important question I have seen asked to date here...so...do you? Hope...Hope...hope.....
  24. Welcome to the board Paratrooper...and I, too, would like to thank you for your service to this great nation of ours. As for UTSA...I am really happy and excited to have you guys in the conference with UNT. For way too many years UNT has had nothing that even approaches a "rival" game within the state...and now you guys are here and located in a great city to visit and travel to on away game trips. So, YIPPEEEEEEE, as far as I am concerned. You guys play whomever you want as you try to build your program and facilities...heck, Bill Snyder at K-State has been known to build programs and win totals on the backs of some pretty thin paper tigers...wins help...no matter who they are against when trying to build a team and a fan base...heck, we played TSU and had a good time watching the victory here at Apogee. I hope you build a stadium as playing in the Alamodome will not be the long term solution for you guys I would think, but don't know if you guys have any on-campus room to build an adequate stadium. Anyway, welcome aboard...this Mean Green nation member is mighty glad to have you guys in the Conference!
  25. At least you didn't say anything about what at one time was called a crew cut! Just sayin........
