There was a HS game at Apogee last year and this will be the scond game this season.

Indeed....yet also true for every struggling football team from Pee Wee level through the pro level...just ask the Dallas Cowboys. So, no surprise that this is an area that needs improvement for the Mean Green. Here's hoping that South Alabama will provide the opportunity for the Mean green to get back on tract with a positive turnover ratio. Do that, and the remaining part of the season may well turn out pretty darn good for the Mean Green and its faithful. So, offense...hang on to that pigskin; So, defense...take that pigskin away from the other guys... Both offense and defense...start doing this Saturday at Apogee against South Alabama...no, really...do this!

Grant...I am not comparing him to Mac. I am responding to all those folks who seem to think Leach is the second coming of Jesus Christ on the football field. The guy has won NIL, ZERO, NILCH in the way of championships. If we are going to annoint someone to sainthood in the D1 coaching ranks, shouldn't they at least have to have a chapionship or two as a head coach? Really....

Are you really 100% certain of that? I mean really 100% certain, like you have actual proof and not hearsay? I have heard so very many different versions of this story that it seems to be taking on a life of its own...I don't know enough to know one way or the other. Actually applying for a job is much much more than simply making an inquiry. Really, don't have the facts...so if you do, I'd love to be able to put this to bed one way or the other. Not sure you are not in that "Would've Could've" thing you mention, but like I said...I don't know. here's hoping that you do and have some real info and facts to back up that statement. I've asked some various folks in the area where they should know, but get varying cooments and answers....no I have not directly asked RV.

Agree with that quote a great deal. It's not WHAT many of these folks say that is of a bother...it is HOW and to WHOM they say it! There is also an adage that says "You are yelling so loud that I can't hear what you are saying". That one has a lot of meaning as well. If you have ever run a business, managed people, had to work with a large and "political" organization then you will know exactly what that quote means and how appropriate and significant it is...jsut like the one NT03 posted.

Forgot to mention...Hank said that the Eli Young Band was at Apogee this afternoon filming a music video...And that they will have a little video on the main board at Apogee for senior day this Saturday...way cool....Eli Young Band is full of UNT guys! Cannot wait to see the video Saturday...really like this band! Love it even more that they are art of the Mean Green Nation!

Anyone else remember the years when Coach Bill Blakeley would unveil a new slogan attached to the back of his chair at the first game of each season? Pure greatness and most everyone went wild when he unveiled that slogan each year. Would love to see that Tradition returned...lots of fun. I know SUMG, greenjoe and others remember!
