Awesome is the word. Even better in person. Why would you even consider not going if you are a Mean Green fan? You would miss seeing the tons more of these on the way.

Done.

This is KRAM1 and I agree with tylermeangreen. Well said!

Yep!

Anybody think the guy really has learned his lesson? We know he can coach. Making personal decisions...well...not so much. Do hope he has learned from his mistakes.

All the best to Coach Chico. I am of the opinion that he is more than prepared to be a D1 head coach, but, for selfish reasons, I hope he stays at UNT. Really like the guy, and do wish him all the very best. IMHO FIU would be VERY lucky to get Coach Chico for their new HC.

Who else noticed that Censored By Laurie was "in the house" for the Jackson State game? Always good to see our pseudo-yankee brethren Mean Greeners back home for a change. Glad to have you with us CBL....you need to get back down this way more often. Good to see your running mates with you as well. Hope lots of folks got to say hello.

Sort of a chicken and egg thing, huh? Wins bring fans and support....money brings upgraded coaching staffs and facilities which help create those wins. Which comes first determines how fast the Wins come. Tough job this D1 athletics.

Well, in spite of it all....there is, Santa, always a sliver lining somewhere...even the Wall Street Journal has taken note of UNT. In today's edition of the Wall Street Journal, 12/10/12 on page B8 in bold type is the number 2,872. The text reads: "The attendance at Saturday's Jackson State - North Texas men's basketball game in Denton, Texas. That same day, the UCLA - Texas game at Houston's Reliant Stadium drew 2,797. Found this both interesting and positive that UNT was mentioned in the Wall Street Journal.

Agree...a few more donors, fans, ticket buyers & $$$$$ would help as well I am thinking.
-
True you are....but, still a "beer budget" program with the majority being "beer budget" sized donors. At least when comparing UNT to the universities most folks want to compare UNT with most often. It's getting better, but there is still a long way to go. Need three times the number of Mean Green Club members, need three times the season ticket buyers, etc., etc. it's a chicken/egg thing it seems. Some say, win and we will come...others say, given them the $$$$ and the support and we will win. Tough spot, but getting better.

Nope...that would be asking much more than you are obviously capable of handling...dumping some of the negativism and bias that you hold that is. I just asked that you get an original gig and try not to just copy the other usual suspects. In your view...it's OK to be negative all the time and "shill" for the anti-UNT/anti-Athletic dept./the sky is falling and all is bad crowd, but it's not OK to point out that there is another side to the coin. Carry on doing the norm for you...it's pretty obvious that you are not capable of being unbiased. So, let's see...what names can I dream up to call you? Like all of your bent it always does seem to come down to name calling...so mature, so philosophical, so open-minded. But, not in the least surprising. At least we can all count on you. Got any more good lines about the band? It's been awhile since you opined critically on that topic.
-
Well, I guess it was only a matter of time for you...just couldn't help yourself could you? You guys really do need to get a new gig...at least when you insult me personally it should be something different from time to time....and maybe original instead of just parroting the usual suspects.
-
Interesting...I guess, according to Silver, all these folks are "shilling" for RV and the Athletic dept. b y simply posting their personal views on the matter. Always have wondered why it seems to be OK to bash RV and everything he does along with pretty much every other athletic department staffer on the board, yet let someone post anything positive and supportive and they are "shilling". Good to see some sanity on the board this day.
-
Thanks...pretty much figured he would.

Who won it?

If you want to carry on your inane rant, great...hardly anyone reads through these piles of dodo anyway when you get on one of your patented rants. But, if you are going to do so by insulting someone, get a new routine. All you are doing here is copying the other usual suspects with the same childish and immature stuff that is getting old. So, if you have so little of substance to say that you must result to personal insults, at least man up and get an original routine. Have fun with the DJ gig....

Can always count on you to add something of substance.

Taking a Vacation!
KRAM1 replied to kalebschumann's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Alhambra is in Granada, Spain which is a fair distance from Madrid and Barcelona, but is well worth a vit. Did so two years ago....amazing place. Definite super example of Moorish culture in Spain. Well worth a visit in my opinion. Thanks for the Costa Rica tips guys. Much appreciated. -
He would sure make more cash being Tech's head FCC coach. But, you think they could run an option offense?
-
Cool. His post does not indicate much knowledge of anything...just a big rant about a bunch of stuff. I think he needed to blow off some steam...happens. No problem. He obviously has a problem with a lot of folks and things from RV to Mac to Rawlins. That is a shame and really too bad. Seems to be holding on to a bit of anger. And, since you say he has the award, he should be aware that it is not an athletic award and that since the Alumni Association was reconstituted in the late 1990's that some things and selection criteria has changed a bit.

Wrong thread. Ha!

Did not say anything about Johnny Football...said Manti would be my choice because I felt he had earned it. I would also like to see someone else win other than a QB. This is for the best player in football, not always..or at least most often..the best QB. Happen to think Manti is the best this season. I do, however, think the odds favor Johnny Football, and since I don't have a vote, I'll go with the flow. And besides, really do not care. I care much more about the BB game at the Super Pit. Will be there when they announce the winner...we will all find out soon enough. This thread just asked for our choice..Manti is mine...glad you like the A&M kid...
