Nope just commenting on the fact that you jump on those of us who choose to be positive while giving those who like you seem to want to criticize all the time a pass. Seems a tad ironic to me...and if it's OK for you guys to constantly criticize, why is it not OK to find something positive? You can have your position of negativity and I can be one of those who choose to see things differently. If it bothers you for someone to be positive...well, just ignore the posts and have a love fest with all the negative folks...no problem...it's an opinion board, right? Maybe we can get together and bake cookies for the ladies of the 911 division.

Get a new gig, Sarge...I guess you and FFR had a love fest together in all the negativity all the time at the AF-Rice game. Why is it that you seem to think negativity is "breadth of opinions", but the same is not correct regarding positive comments? If it's fine to knock everything that is RV and UNT then it should be OK to praise where one believes praise is due as well. Last time I looked it's opinions and you seem to have plenty to hem as well. Hammering on me constantly is getting a tad lame and old...perhaps you could tell us about more cookie bakes or something instead for awhile...or about how much you love UT. You have been fairly quiet on that front for awhile.

Has UNT utilized one of these things before? If not, seems like a good first effort to me and certainly something UNT should be utilizing. So, seems a congrats would be in order for getting this out there for recruits. Maybe some here could create a video and submit it for possible consideration in the future. Appears we have lots of folks who can do these things and feel they can do them better. Great...let's see what they can do....I am guessing that we do have some very talented folks. Lots of talent around the Mean Green Nation. Maybe they can volunteer to do the video for next year on their time and on their dime as a contribution....worth the possible tax deduction perhaps.

Just wondering why the mods would let this guy and a couple of others hang around. Doesn't make much sense to me...and all boards who advertise care about hits by the way. At least that is what the professionals who create these things for a living tell me about this sort of thing. Just repeating what I was told when I asked a guy about it. It's not a rag on you guys, just a comment....and a possible reason for allowing these guys to hang around.

Well, the Ponies looked really good yesterday, except that I am not convinced that Gilbert is the real deal for the SMU faithful. Anyway, way to go Ponies...good to see a local team win that one...even if it was SMU. But, I say, bring it on! This will be a great series for the Mean Green and SMU. Lots of rear ends in the seats and lots of fans tailgating and having a great time. A real college football Saturday against a team folks actually can have some passion for as a rival. It's good that SMU will be better as the Mean green will as well...so, yep...bring it on. This Mean Greener is not backing down or running and hiding...especially for SMU. As was said a bit ago in Gonzales, TX..."Come and Take It"...if you can! Nice win...Ponies. See you soon....

So...what some of us just might be saying is that the hiring of coaches is not an exact science. Some will be hits, some not so much. Some will have had success elsewhere but not at the new location and vice versa. Too bad this stuff, like pretty much everything when it comes to human beings, doesn't come with some sort of guarantee. And, as some may have wondered or surmised, I pretty much feel one should live with the contracts signed...unless, of course, there is some unlawful or terrible occurrence. So, you sign a 4 year...you get a min. Of four years, 5 years...same thing. And, for the record I think it should be the same for both parties. You signed it, it was good enough then, it should be good enough for its term! Just me....

I was...will never forget sitting in the meeting with the men's soccer team, players, parents and coaches as a representative of the then soccer "booster club" and listening as the AD told us one sorry "stretch of the truth" after another....it was a sad time for all these sports. But, many of us who supported men's soccer remained as supporters of UNT and the athletic programs. It was however...dark times!

So, how does Kentucky get away with it? Maybe we should send them all our GMG.Com basketball experts so they will see how dumb their coach is and why he should be fired. Or, maybe it is because the players realize they need to carry out the plan if they want to actually be big time. Heck, I don't know. Seems odd to me that all the Kentucky fans are not calling for he HC's head....how strange.
