Who are these "you conservaties" you talk about? Way to generalize. Not at all factual, but way to keep the stereotypes going. Well played...typical, but well played none the same. -
Great to hear that you are considering joining at the life member level. As a recent/new grad this is BY FAR they overall long-term BEST way to join. You will "recover" your membership cost many times over considering the annual rate. I am a Life member, and only wish that I have elevated my membership to that level many years prior to when i actually did so. Here is a link you can utilize: http://www.untalumni.com/membership.php Or, just give Gina Lowe a call at 940-369-8506. She is the Alumni Association's "Director of Marketing and Membership". I know she would be more than happy to help and to answer any and all questions. Again, thanks for considering an investment in your university through the UNT Alumni Association. And, congratulations on your near graduation. Well done!

Yes, money available does indeed have an impact on the players one can recruit....in spite of what some may think.

Folks...we have our first three sponsors for the game! I am proud to announce that three great members of the Mean Green Nation have stepped up to help by agreeing to be event sponsors...they are: Kokjohn Long Snapping - Kevin and Troy Kokjohn Cross Timbers Equipment - Bryan Waddle Farmers Insurance - The Overlander Group - Rod Overlander Really want to thank these three for getting the ball rolling and being so kind as to help sponsor the event. Still plenty of sponsorship opportunities, volunteer opportunities, etc., etc. Also...where are our players? You know you want to play...so let us know by posting here along with your t-shirt size. Playing fee is once again $25 and includes the player 10th anniversary shirt. -
Ha! Yes...let's have answrs...who did this??? Ha! One must admit...this is funny!

If I said anything I would be accused of "shilling for the AD" or some fool would say something negative about why I might have that info, so....I'll just say....gee, don't have a clue. Sometimes it just isn't worth it. Indeed, will be a great addition.

Well, then you just aren't paying attention, cannot read, cannot comprehend what is written or simply don't care and just want to support the Sarge's position. Fine. No problem. Happy you are happy.

Just a question....would you be leading the exodus? -
Tough break for young Mr. Overlander....and the team. The hits just seem to keep coming this year. The idea that Clarke would even think of "faking this" is inane at best, and posting such shows a lack of not only compassion for this young man and his situation, but a lack of any knowledge of the character of this young man. And, yes, if he possibly can, this kid will be back for the tourney. He will do all he can to make it so, and if he can't make it back in time it will not be for any lack of effort or want to on Clarke's part. It is, indeed, possible for a young, in shape, athlete to return from a torn meniscus in such a time frame. I'd post why I know that, but someone would make a snide comment if I did. PM me if you want to know. Sorry to hear this, Clarke...get well soon..the Mean Green needs you!

Congrats to Zachary...you earned it!

Doubt it...did not happen for us during Vietnam Nam. -
Well, that's swell, Sarge...some day I might start caring what you think. Keep making excuses for all the folks who have nothing better to do but complain to those who don't care and can do zero about it in the first place. If you want to make excuses for all of them, fine. Maybe you should bake them some cookies along with the ladies of 911. Am sure you would be te hit of the pity party. Anyway, carry on with the line you seem so bent on carrying...even if it is far from original. I appreciate the attention, but would like to see something new and original. It is getting a bit lame. You can do better, right? I keep asking you to get a new line, but seems you need to wait until one of the other pity party gang comes up with one so you can parrot away. But, keep playing...some folks might be listening...they must be, right? Oh, and no.....I doubt they would fire their cookie baking 911 Sarge if you made a Coach Show once in awhile. Heck, they would have to promote a police cadet to take your place. Smile, this belittling stuff is fun, right? Since you enjoy throwing it out so much, thought you might like the other side as well. Me, not so good at it....I guess it takes practice and you have lots of that in the bag lately. I think you are swell too...a bit immature, but swell none the less.

Yes, Deep...wars are always different...North Viet Nam was not going to invade the US either, nor was North Korea...but, in fact, the attack on the trade towers was pretty much an attack on our homeland in my book. But, I see your point. All the same...bullets and bombs still kill and injure in any conflict, and that never changes! -

Great! Glad to have you one way or the other...any possibility that the place where you now work might want to be a sponsor or donate a silent auction item or two? Greatness that you are wearing the GMG.Com Bowl VI shirt!!!! Collector's items these days! You will look even better in a GMG.Com Bowl X shirt! Count on it! -

I agree with most of what you say here, Deep. My nephew spent FOUR...count 'em FOUR tours abroad in this deal...one in Iraq and three in Afghanistan. But, I will remind everyone that during WWII you signed up "for the duration".....however long that might be...my Dad enlisted in the first year of the war and came home ONLY after it ended...that's a long time as well. He was one of the lucky ones...he came home alive and well. Many did not. A limited draft has possibilities and might warrant serious consideration. Lots of possibilities. But, to Silver's point about "Seven days in May"....not going to happen...pure fantasy. Too many checks and balances on the military here in the U.S. and hard to imagine the general public standing for such a thing. Never even been a hint of such thing and we have had a "professional military" ever since the Viet Nam era draft was stopped. That's been several years now in case you haven't noticed. -
Sounds like some great excuses for not showing up and asking the questions. Nicely played.

Why? It was 2010. Just asking.
