Taking an early stab at a prediction on UTSA football
KRAM1 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Love this I will hold my breath until someone does or does not do something or until UNT does or does not do something. Seems this strategy never changes parental behavior but the kids keep trying. -
Taking an early stab at a prediction on UTSA football
KRAM1 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Oh, Plumm, you just have a vivid imagination of what a loss to UTSA might mean to the program and the HC and the AD with regards to their jobs...that's all. Keep smokin' the good stuff.....and keep the faith...Hey, I have lived through those 30 years of changes in denton...no need to list them for my sake. -
I don't know, Christopher...that guy in the photo looks nothing like you! You have a loy more hair!
-
Dang, there you go knocking the players again...it's always the players fault with you! Joke...folks...joke...UNT 90 gets it! Just having some fun with Mr. Grumpy!
-
Nope...it is not!

Taking an early stab at a prediction on UTSA football
KRAM1 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Nope...wouldn't happen. Sorry, PLUMM...it would just be another loss in a game where we should have been on the winning end. You and I have seen this too many times in recent years....recall the Troy game last year? I am still bummed about that one. No heads will be rolling and the sun will still come up over Apogee the following morning shout UNT somehow lose to UTSA this year. Lots of programs have lost games to "supposedly" lesser competition...happens every year in college ball.....now as far as this year's game with UTSA...That will be a UNT win at home, and that will "save the day" in our scenario, so never fear! -

Really do appreciate your generous contribution. It will go a good ways in helping this event be successful again this year. Our student athletes thank you and so do I. -
Amen...well said! See you Wednesday!

Priceless.... -
Will be out soon...I am hoping it will be released to the crowd at the signing day event tomorrow as a little extra added attraction, but I actually have no clue how or when the ballot will be released. I just know it will be out soon.....
-
And, Jason Ball who is on the ballot as I posted earlier....Dozer, i don't recall Bresnahan as a kicker...when did he play? Memory must be fading...help me out here. Thanks.
-
Jason Ball...and yes, he is on the ballot.

Not good news this close to signing day. One wonders why it came this close...hopefully, Coach Gaines got a job he thinks is bigger, better, etc. Just wish the announcement could have been held until after signing day. But, if the only reason the kid was coming to UNT was because of who recruited him, then not sure he was that solid a "yes" anyway. Sure hate to lose the kid to TCU.....double darn. But 18 year old kids have a way of doing interesting things....so until signing day is done and names are signed on dotted lines, I just will hold my breath and hope the kid "see the errors of his ways" here and comes home to UNT! He may well see the pine for a good while at TCU where he would have seen earlier playing time at UNT perhaps...then there's that "potential" thing...seen a lot of "potential" go to waste on lots of football teams from HS to the pros. As the great philosopher says..."you never know until you know?.
-
UGH...but, you never know until the signatures on on the dotted lines. Eighteen year old kids have been known to do some "interesting" things.
-
Yep...it's all I got! I leave the snarkiness to the pros of snarky.
-
Ha! Indeed I was around for the Ramsey years....Ramsey was QB three of my 4 undergard years at UNT!..In fact I also saw Vidal Carlin play QB for UNT! Ever heard of him? Played seven years in the NFL (Cardinals) and a year in the Canadian League after UNT!
-
Well, plenty as those of us who know you even a little can attest...but in this case...and this case alone...not so much! Ha!
-
Maher and Ramsey are both on the ballot (in fact there are 10 QB's on the ballot I have seen) as are: Cobbs Kennedy Dunbar Kassell and Buckles So, you should be happy, yes? Let the voting begin...soon!

Taking an early stab at a prediction on UTSA football
KRAM1 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
I actually really like that UNT will be playing UTSA on a regular basis. I see a potential for great road trips, some wins and perhaps even a rivalry game developing in the course of a few years. It's a Texas school (many have been wanting such for a good many of years now...myself included), will have a decnt size student body that might travel to away games, has shown an early ability to draw fans and financial support, and is trying to develop a solid athletic program including football. So, bring 'em on...I see nothing at all other than positives with UTSA now and in the future. -
Sensitive this morning old guy???? If that's an attack you are really wearing your sensitive panties this morning...it was a "right back at you" with some fun ...which I thought, but was obviously wrong, what you were getting at...sure missed that one...sorry Mr. Sensitive...my bad! Just asking...is it a constipation problem this morning? A bit more fiber in the diet for old guys like you is said to help.... GEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.....touchy, touchy...go take a nap old feller!
-
Problem is, Christopher...your lifetime does not go back very far! But, if it is the best you have seen, then you have some good things in store for you when you actually DO see a good one. That rates no where near the top. Hey, you are the one who brought up the "generational thing" here! Just sayin.... Ha! To each his own is really the byword when it comes to entertainment...I am glad you liked it...does you Mom allow you to wear long pants yet...youngster????
-
Ha! Funny Well...good to see the snarkiness remains in the curmudgeon that you are these days.....did not need to give any input...It looked great as it was developed...you will be happy (well maybe not you) with the names and it will be great for the fans to have a part in the process...that's the input i gave them...other than my congratulations. At least I was asked (which I thought was nice). Maybe they knew I would provide appropriate and honest input without all the hyperbole and angst and without trying to tell them that they never do anything and that "anyone" could have done it better. You think? Hey..glad to know all is still right with the world....same Silver...there is comfort in that at least!

It was, Silver, it was...I got a look at the ballot early and was asked for my input.....I did not provide any input..... Other than to review the ballot and reply to thank the UNT Staffers who came up with this great idea and to let them know it was a great idea and should be lots of fun!

GMG Bowl X April 13, 2013 (Mark your calendar)
KRAM1 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
New player announced! Ex-UNT QB...during the Fry era days...ROB MORLEY has agreed to play in this year's GMG.Com Bowl X! Welcome aboard Rob, glad to have you...rumor has it that Rob was Jordan Case's rommie and can still play a mean game of flag football. So, the team needing a "legit QB" might want to think about drafing Rob!
