Agree, definitely, with the challenge of playing in a hostile stadium. But, that is the nature of international national team soccer. The US must learn how to play and win in those situations or the US will never rise above being pretty much a middle of the road national team. Not sure the ake-up of the current team has the "right stuff" and still not 100percent sold on our new head coach. But, will support the team and staff and do think at the end of the day...US qualifies for the 2014 World Cup.

Just want to set the record straight. Last night at the BB games, another poster on this board suggested that I was Green_dude. While I definitely agree with the "Bitch less.....Give more" line, it is not mine and I am not Green_dude. I have one "name" on this board and that is KRAM1 (which is simply Mark spelled in reverse). I will NEVER post under any other name. So, let the record show...... Carry on, and thank you Green_dude for daring to print the truth!

USA is struggling to find itself right now, but I am confident that they will in plenty of time. While this loss hurt, it really is, like Thor said, not much of a problem for the US. The much bigger challenge for the US right now is in finding the right mix of players, some consistent and reliable scorers and a back line that works well together. USA-USA-USA-USA!!!!!! And, Matt, you can only post here if you leave all your negative baggage in the BB thread...deal?

Sorry to see Coach Murczek leave UNT. Really has done a great job, but want to say CONGRATULATIONS Coach. You have left the program in better shape than when you took over. Well done! You will be a pretty hard act to follow.

Hope you are correct...but many of our great music school attendees and grads HAVE in fact been contacted by various groups around the university over many years to help with a performance and maybe even provide that performance for a discounted price to help with one area or another...you might be a tad shocked at the response often given to those requests...even when made more than a year in advance. Hope the Eli Young Band might be different...I understand they made a video for the university when at Apogee recently...don't know when/if it will be shown or where, but thought it was going to be shown at Apogee on the big board. Maybe I missed it. These guys are very good. Love the Eli Young Band and they do seem to be pro-UNT. Keeping my fingers crossed. And, just to be clear...many of the fine music school grads do, indeed, come back and do benefits for UNT and provide very valuable assistance...they just might not be the ones that the "general public" knows too much about. But, these artists do great things for UNT. So, everyone should be very grateful and more folks should be aware of how many do help. And, too bad more folks don't know of these folks. Very generous and very talented members of the great Mean Green Nation....doing very nice things for their university!

Nope...i will be too busy working getting everything set up for the GMG.Com Bowl X Flag Football game that kicks-off right after the run. I ran the last two years, but will miss out this time. But, anyone interested in seeing my great gams can just drop by...I'll be there and volunteering and working to help raise scholarship money for some great UNT student-athletes. So, legs will be on full display for all interested parties.

Talk to the folks down at the new store named BAREFOOT in downtown Denton...right off the square...great store, tons of Mean green stuff for men, women and kids. They might like producing just what you want. Just needs to be a market for them...how many do you you really think folks would buy? Needs to be probably in the hundreds to make it worthwhile for anyone to create them in all the different sizes necessary. Think it would "fly" at that level?

I am always puzzled by this "star ranking" system...and actually pay it ZERO mind as it is just a guess anyway of how these kids will be as D1 players after HS. D1, as we all know, is soooooooo much different that HS ball. But, this morning I see the DMN has every recruit UNT signed with a Star at one level or another...1 (4 star) 1(3 star) and 21 (2 star). So, I guess if you are into this "star" thing...all UNT signees are "stars"! Go Mean green! One guy got up and pledged to double his Mean green Club donation level if UNT beats UTEP! Greatness.....Mac wondered if I was running a dating service with my question to Shawn McKinney..."Snuggles" with reference to tennis....had a great time and am still way impressed with the crowd. BEST ever! All the players in attendance seemed to having a really good time...and, I forgot to mention...Coach Mac was not wearing sunglasses!

Yes...5K will be held early Spring Game Day at Apogee followers by the GMG.Com Bowl X at Apogee as well.

Oh...and spring practice starts March 20th...if I heard correctly...about 6 weeks away!

Not sure one can speak for the whole. But, rivalry or not, I am glad UNT has this in-state conference mate. Easy away game commute, great place to visit and there is a decent possibility that UTSA fans will come to Apogee and help fill seats, pay for parking, buy concessions and spend money with local businesses. All good in my book. Bring on the Road Runners of UTSA! And, it's a winnable game. I like!

Wow...what a great crowd at tonight's event! Best ever! Really great having the players speak and answer questions from the crowd! Lots of personality in that group and lots of talent. Seems to me that this group is ready to get it done and truly believe that they can. Chico said he would be in the press box this year, and was really fired up about being able to open up the offense a bit with this group. Told me to look for some "different" plays on first down this year... Bottom line...really fun event and well done. Got to think everyone who was able to attend was very happy they did.
