drex...I share you sentiments. Judy Stewart was one of the good ones, and she will be greatly missed. I was honored to be able to know both Joe and Judy and to call them both "friends". Judy worked tirelessly for the betterment of UNT in so many ways that anyone would be hard pressed to name them all. I do know that I appreciate both Joe and Judy Stewart for their long and continuing work on the behalf of UNT and the entire Denton community. Judy Stewart...you will be deeply missed. May God bless and keep you.

Rest in peace, Fred. One of the really good members of the Mean green nation has left us. You will be both missed and remembered for all the good work you did. Thank you, Fred McCain.

But, raving about a basketball coach is the best way to bolster your case, right? Just don't rave about politics as that doesn't matter or help bolster one's theories...keep it to basketball coaches and all is good. You know, I think I see what you mean now. One is OK for a message board for ranting and raving and the other isn't. Got it...thanks. 90...just stick to negative coach comments and you are fine...anything else...not so much.

That's sort of why I asked the question...Lakers are a good case in point.....watched a Laker game recently and was wondering how a team could be so talented and just have such a bad record. Talented individuals seem to, at times, have trouble meshing into a good team. Like the Laker's perhaps.

Question...."most talented" they might just be...but does individual talent in relation to team sports always guarantee a winning team? Bring promised the "most talented" does not seem to me to be a promise of a championship team. Who else remembers the second (I think second) squad that Trilli had...Davis, Miller, Tennell, etc. That was some individually talented team as well. As I recall, the team W/L record was not so great. I see this in pro and HS sports as well and on a fairly regular basis. Just wondering if "talent" is always deemed to result in good W/L records for teams when they blend all that talent together and when injuries to some of the "most talented" are considered. Wonder if anyone has studied this? Seems like it might make a great Master's Thesis topic or PHD Dissertation or something like that. Not wanting to gin up a whole new argument here and not siding with any position stated here...just asking the question...seems there could be some differences to me that might have an impact.

Is it going to be on ESPN3? If so, really glad I will be at Apogee for the game...Well, I would be just as happy to be at Apogee for the game if it were on Channel 8 or ESPN itself for that matter.

Just one correction, Harry. The logo design was done by M Benjamin Designs who is also a sponsor for our game. David Pyke did the design for our FB game shirts. I do think both are greatness!

If you play, you get for for your player fee of $25. But, if can't play, PM me with the size and color you want...we sell them on pre-order sales only for $25. Yes, a bit pricy for just a tee, but it is part of the fund-raising effort. All BB game proceeds go to support UNT Cheer. Look great, don't they?

It wasn't me that said it might not be on 10/31...go ask the guy who posted it...quote his post and maybe he can fill you in. Or, do us another long list of what you think is wrong with everything that is UNT these days. That's always good for a laugh.

Well, that counts for something. I like beer. Let's have beer at Apogee and the Super Pit! Beer drinkers will pay inflated prices for beer at sporting events. So, more concession dollars for UNT. Bring it on! And...btw...no velvet ropes for a beer or two before UNT BB games...just join the Mean Green Club at a very reasonable level and BINGO! Or, just get flyonthewall to bring you in as a guest. No velvet ropes required.

Point proven once again. Who made you Emmitt's keeper? Seems he does a pretty good job for himself. Again, you are a very sad human being. I feel sorry for you and anyone who has to put up with your childishness on a regular basis. You need professional help. My "attacks" as you so inanely call them, came only in response to Emmitt's personal attacks. Fact Jack! Find one were I used any inappropriate language...find it. I can find plenty where both you and Emmitt have. Please go find someone else upon which to spew your constant venom. And get some help.

Nope..the experts know who they are. You don't know? Oh, sure you do. They like to tell us about their BB greatness pretty much on a daily basis. And, no differing opinion dare be allowed...with all that greatness why would anyone dare to share a different opinion? If one dares do so, they seem to have no other option than to "go personal". Seems to me that college grads would have a more extensive vocabulary, and have appropriate options with which to express themselves. Odd.

Get your tickets into the hands of someone who can come. Replace yourself...if you cannot come, please try to "fill your seats." You have to know some folks, perhaps without young kids, who could use those tickets. Have fun with the kiddos!

Go look at the posts about this game. Tell me that the majority are pretty much true to form. Glass half full vs half empty folks....those that try to see the possibilities for positives vs those that always seem to find the negative in everything first. Runs about the same with a few exceptions in pretty much every discussion of anything. I guess we all pretty much respond as we see life in general...human nature being what it is and all that. Here's the facts...game is going to be played on Oct. 31st. Come...don't come...your choice. If you don't...why not try to get your tickets into the hands of someone who can come? Make it your goal to "replace yourself". My guess...this was the league's doing since it is a national TV game. For me, I am grateful for the national exposure for UNT.

But all the experts here will tell you that our FT percentage is just fine. It seems to have been better before tonight, but as coach Petersen said one night...sometimes it is When you hit them and when you don't that matters most. But, he also said, hit the early ones and the late game ones might not be as critical.

That one hurt...never seemed to get anything going for any extended period. Was thinking UNT might pick up the road win...that thought didn't last too long. Ouch!
