I'm thinking that bet with UNT90 for next year is looking pretty much like a sure thing for me. Ten wins next year? Pretty much a done deal! OK, I am still basking in the glow of this nice win tonight. But, I am taking that 10 win bet as of now it looks like a sure thing. Said he'd bet any amount of money...what does everyone think...$10,000 maybe with an extra $1000 for every win over 10. Too little? Too much? Need some help here folks....how much? But, I am feeling generous after the win tonight, so if UNT90 wants to rethink his bet offer, I'll let him off with buying me a cold one at Lucky's in Hot Springs at the Tourney. What say, yee UNT90?

Middle beat Troy 66-56 tonight. Next up for Troy is S. Alabama. Troy needs to beat S. Ala if UNT is to move up to the 9 seed. At least that is the way I understand it....no, I am not 100 percent sure of that....but think so.

Not sure, but don't think so. It is my understanding that Troy has our fate in its hands. I think Troy has to win either tonight or Saturday for us to get the 9 seed. Both Troy games are on the road. Need to check the Sunbelt scores.

I guess we will just have to wait and see. Man, it would be terrible if all that Halloween game angst was all for naught. I would prefer a Saturday game because it removes a bunch of reasons for not attending, but do think there will be a good crowd either way. I guess now it is all....patience grasshopper, patience for all of us.

Update....we have one of our referees set. Troy Kokjohn has agreed to return to referee for us again this year while his Dad works the silent auction table. Thanks guys, can't tell you how much I appreciate your support...and so do the members of the Cheer Squad! Need another ref....anyone who would like to ref just let me know.

I believe I heard that UNT has now won 4 of their last 6 games. Maybe the lights are coming on, but we can all see how well this team plays with CJ in the lineup as well. Saw some great ball movement tonight. Way too many turnovers, but some seemed to be caused by a big lead and the guys trying to have some fun. Whatever it was, fun game to watch. Winning record at home for about the last twelve years. Glad I was there for senior night. These guys deserved the support. Great to see the '88 team along with Coach Gales. Really great time tonight coupled with a free "thank you" meal in the Mean Green Room to Mean Green Club members before the game. A big win, free meal and free beer. What's not to like tonight? Bring on Hot Springs!

Let's just hope history repeats itself and UNT can make the finals as well as Middle not doing so. But, I do think Middle gets an NCAA bid even if they don't win the tournament. They really do seem to be pretty darn solid. But, getting an at-large bid from the SunBelt is pretty tough...I grant that!

AstroMike...we have to be concluded right after 11:00AM as the Hall of fame Tailgate event starts at 11:30AM as I recall. Some of our players and volunteers will be involved with that event as well, so we will need to be concluded prior to that. Would love to have you as a player if it would work out for you.

We already play on Friday...this game does not matter IN THAT REGARD. What matters is what TROY does...Troy has to win one of its last two games to effect our seeding. I think it is doubtful that Troy wins one of its last two as they are both on the road and, as I recall, against decent teams. But, UNT plays a Friday game...be there!

That is pure greatness! I went to the concert where Willie played and then was at "the ranch" for the after party. The ranch he is talking about belonged to Rex Cauble. I also recall listening to that Tennessee game on the radio that Fry mentioned...sure as heck wish i had been there in person to see it. I was listening on the car radio and as the game ended was driving into my driveway at home...I parked that car and got out jumping and shouting for probably 5 minutes...then I started to wonder if the neighbors might be looking and calmed down a bit. I imagine that most Mean green fans know where they were the day UNT beat Tennessee...talk about a signature win! Greatness. Thanks so much, Green59, for finding and posting this interview! This was a nice win for the ladies on senior night. It is the first time since the 2005-06season that the women have finished .500 in conference play and it snapped a 5-game home losing streak. A sweep over ASU for the season as well. Hopefully, this will give the ladies some momentum heading into the tournament. Nice win ladies!!!

Great! Loved it...these guys are great! saw part of this video at the UNT Alumni Awards ceremony last Friday evening...the Eli Young band was given one of the Associations "Outstanding Young Alumni" awards. Interesting that all graduated from UNT but none from the College of Music. Good stuff...great ambassadors for UNT.
