Thanks for the psycho-babble. At least it's new.

Please point out one post where I in any way put JJ down. You continue with this line of thought even though you have no post that supports this position. My post about the buy in tournaments was aimed at you inane post about UNT failing because UTA wasted a bunch of money to dupe folks into thinking they made a post season tourney and the fact that JJ and LSU after being jilted by the NIT did not fall into the crap decision UTA made. It actually pointed to LSU and JJ's smarts as opposed to say your position regarding UNT. But, keep playing that broken record you have going if it makes you feel better.
-
Who said JJ failed? I have not seen that. What I have seen are folks talking about JJ doing a decent job and also pointing out how some on here who were not unhappy to see him go now seem to think he walks on water. Hardly anyone calling him a failure.

Good luck, Tony. Hope you have a great career. The Mean Green Nation thanks you and will be wishing you nothing but the best going forward.

Will UNT's Tony Mitchell Declare for the NBA Draft?

Such a Twitter hipster you are to be able to decipher that. Many thanks...at least I can now say i know a Twitter guy! Appreciate the translation. +1 for you, Kid! -
Looks like LSU "couldn't or wouldn't" either. For me, this "pay to play" is not a sign of winning anything. To me it is more a sign of desperation..."we are not good enough to or did not play well enough to be invited anywhere, but we'll just pay to play and that will look better". Sort of like the guy who donates $1,000,000 to some charity and then BINGO they guy is celebrated by the charity as "father of the Year" or some other such nonsense...never mind the fact that he beats his wife and ignores his kids. But, if it makes folks feel better to "buy into" a tournament to save face...great...got the cash to waste...go for it! For me, I hope I never see UNT in a "buy in" post-season tournament in any sport. I want UNT to win their way in or stay home and use the resources to try to improve the team in question. But, that's just my opinion...understand others think differently.
-
Hey, it looks like LSU is at least smart enough to not pay to go to a so-called post-season tournament. I guess UTA cares more than LSU and JJ too, right 90? Personally, I think LSU deserved an NIT bid.

You really are funny! This one deserves to be in the HOF for comics!

Believe the schools actually pay a fee, do they not, to play in those tournaments?

So, you think Frazier was a failure this year at Tech? Interesting. I believe he did a credible job given all that he was dealing with at Tech this year and should at least be given the opportunity to be interviewed for the HC position. A couple of the Tech guys I talk with feel the same as I do regarding what he was able to do this year...on and off the court. I guess the folks agree more with my thinking as they did reatin him and he is said to be a "final three" HC candidate. But, it's Tech's call. They will do what they think is in the best interests of Texas Tech. But, am sure they would welcome your expertise and opinions of their abilities....give them a call.
-
HC was not let go with the rest of the staff and is said to still be in the running for the HC job. Interesting. Everyone down to the video guy is let go and the HC stays. Pretty interesting. Don't know if I have seen this happen before. Should we say..."only at Texas Tech"?

This seems to happen to you on a somewhat regular basis, but only to you...Hmmmmmmmm. Just go read it again (and maybe Dr. Seuss' reply). I'll bet you can figure it out. If not, PM me...happy to help you out. No need to bother the masses who do understand what I mean with the explanation here.
-
I'll remember that...but, I can assure you that with your attidtude you probably would not make it past the first preliminary interview. You might want to go speak with a few of my ex-employers from my bank president days and see what they recall about expectations and production. Ask them about "crappy jiobs and butt kissing"...you obviously have no clue...but, carry on.
-
Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Can't win.
-
Unfortunately SFA turned the ball over with the game on the line at the end and NWST wins by two. Ouch! Unless UTSA wins the state of Texas will be without a team in the Big Dance. Hard to believe!

I wish nothing but the best for Tony going forward. Am sure he will make his decision known very soon.

Sort of reflects number who say they would buy stuff vs the number who really do as well. If stuff sold at any pace at all, more retailers would carry UNT stuff. This is now and always has been a "chicken or the egg" sort of thing. If you want to see how this really plays out...even in Denton...then watch and see if the new UNT apparel shop just off the square in Denton is successful or not. They do a great business in Stephenville (Tarleton State). let's see if UNT folks support them here in Denton. These folks have taken the time and expense to open a shop dedicated to UNT and TWU apparel, and they are trying to get relationships built within the community and on campus. Will UNT and it's "fans" do more than talk about buying UNT apparel? We'll see...sure hope so. I have been to the shop and already spent some cash with them. Thanked them for being here and offered to help any way I could around town and campus. What about you? Been to the shop yet? BAREFOOT ATHLETICS 207 N. Elm Denton, TX 76201 940-422-5855. Talk won't pay the light bills. You want folks to carry and produce UNT "stuff"...support those that do with your pocketbook. Sort of put up or shut up time for the UNT fan base in this area.

Thanks, Smitty. This has been a lot of fun, and I appreciate that the fans have gotten at least a say in the All Century Team winners. Looking forward to seeing the results at the spring game on April 13th. Thanks to everyone who worked to make this vote happen.

Benford & Co. worked with Jordan to chage his shot a good bit. Am sure not everyone noticed and I would not have either if it had not been pointed out to be and then confirmed by the coaching staff. Jordan used to "drift" on his shots and Benford and Co. woked to "fix" that...results were noticable and Jordan bought in.....it goes along with player development.

Indeed it is...and remember...the after-event at Rudy's...need a good number there as well...and Rudy's has beer! GREATNESS! I am thinking of adding a collection of beer glasses to the silent auction...various glass shapes and logos...think I could get any bids??? See you on the 23rd! Really appreciate the support for this event.

FOLKS...SIGN-UP DEADLINE IS FAST APPROACHING AND WE COULD USE A FEW MORE PLAYERS!!!! We don't want to wear anyone out, right? We could see a match-up between UNT QB's in this one. Rob Morley may square off for a play or two against Jordan Case....you really do not want to miss that. Jordan Case will certainly be in attendance as he will be flipping the coin for our two captains at mid-field before the game. Our Captains are two of our great UNT ex-players Lance White and Rob Morley! Let's go folks...you know you want to play...sign-up and be part of the fun at Apogee on April 13th. ladies...remember this is a co-ed game, and I know you ladies "got game". -
