DT has way more class than to do something like this. Whoever is doing this needs to stop. If I were DT, his family, Mac and/or the coaching staff at UNT I would be very upset. If you DT or his family AT ALL you know this was never something DT would do...in public or in private!

DRAFT DATE AND TIME CHANGE!!!!! Those interested in participating please note! Due to the UNT Spring Practice Scrimmage that will take place at 9AM this Saturday, and to avoid this possible conflict, the date of the player draft has been moved to SUNDAY (yes, Easter Sunday), March 31st at 3:00PM (Denton Time). This way Harry will be able to attend the scrimmage, take some photos, etc, and others will be able to attend the scrimmage and still participate in the chat room draft the next day. Sorry to have to change it, but "stuff" happens and sometimes one just has to be flexible about this sort of thing...hope everyone understands.

Again...just trying to keep this active so interested folks will be able to see it and join in the chat room for the draft Saturday at 9am.

As I mentioned earlier...great idea...but count me out of arranging this thing. You have no idea how much time I put in doing the one-game event I do each year. Don't have the time or desire to expand it into a tournament. But, happy to be a worker bee for anyone who wants to volunteer to set this up. Let me know who the first volunteer is to set this up, front the cash needed and run the tournament, and I'll be the first to volunteer to help. I like the idea and think it's great. Just not my thing to run and/or administer.

The deadline for player sign-ups for this year's GMG.Com Bowl X is 5:30PM on FRIDAY, MARCH 29th. That's this Friday folks! Get your name on the player list if you would like to play and have a good bit of fun while doing so. Just let us know in the Official GmG.Com Bowl X thread and let us know your t-shirt size and you are "good to go". Player fee of $25 can be paid at the timer of registration on game day! Player Draft will take place this Sunday (March 31st) at 3:00PM (Denton Time). You two draft specialists will be none other than yours truly and Harry. So, tune in to see how the draft goes and to provide a little trash talk if you wish! Looking forward to GMG.Com Bowl X. It's going to be fun...be there!

Well, I guess some folks don't know, but Sam Golden played football at UNT. I see several folks in that list that are supportive of athletics. This group will find a great new president for UNT.

If you guys want to turn this into a tournament go for it, but not my gig. This is a one-game deal. I think a tournament sounds great, but I am not down for being the organizer of it. Happy to help the organizer, but not my deal.

Can you find Sarah Stanley, Niko Stojokovich, and Roger Franklin in the photo? I think Troy Kokjohn escaped, but he was there as well. Great Mean Greener's in that photo. Gave up a bit of their Saturday to have some fun and raise some funds for the UNT Cheer squad. Thanks so much. It's the people that make these things work and why they are so much fun! Greatness...see you next year for an even bigger and better event!

Most interesting part was when the players on both teams pleaded with the ref to let them keep playing. Even the Costa Rican players who were down a goal told the ref that they wanted to keep playing. That's great sportsmanship by a team who had much to gain if the game had been called at that point! Really fun to watch...glad I wasn't there, but soon about 100,000 people will claim they were there in person...sort of like UNT's game in the snow with Florida State!

As you know..college spring soccer schedules are always fluid. But, agree...should have been up on the UNT site as well. Glad you did not have to make the drive...but you could have come on up and witnessed the wonderful GMG.Com Basketball Classic. A thing of beauty it was! :-)

I want ,to say "thank you" to each and every player, referee, volunteer, guest helper and spectator who came out today to help raise a few dollars for our great Cheer Team students. And, to our sponsors (MB Designs, Kokjohn Long Snapping, Crosstimbers Equipment and Rudy's) a special thank you. You are all very much appreciated! And, what about Tracie O'Neal and our Cheer Squad and a great group of Cheer Team Parents? Greatness! And, to those who made and/or donated silent auction items....you made sure this was a successful event. It was the best Classic yet, and...the best game yet. May not be ready for the NCAA tourney yet, but close.... The preliminary numbers...preliminary...show we brought in just under $1800.00! That's really nice and we now have a min. $2000 goal for next year! Hope to see everyone back next year...bring your friends! Lastly...thanks to all the athletic Dept. personnel who helped to make this happen. Would not happen without your help and support. Great job players...this one was really fun....and, how about that coaching by Roger Franklin? Classic! Great fun today! Thanks to all...see you all next year!

Yes...a little confusion...my bad...registration will begin at 10 .... Tip off about 11:15am...having a mini-cheer clinic as part of the event as well this year...they are using the gym prior to our game...don't want to run over a bunch of really cute little girls learning about cheer leading, right?

Yes, please..either that or just set up the pity party, but hide the knives and bring out the beer and cheese to go with the constant whine. Really, there are so much more important things. Time to move on .... This season is over and no amount of high whine is going to bring in a new HC for next season. Really, it won't. You are wasting good whines.....

Who said anything about UNT being smarter? I'm talking about the IQ's of those who think the CBI is in any way a legitimate post-season tournament and the pure folly of paying to play in this crap ball of a fake tournament.....but, yes whine on if it makes you feel better.

Or way to smart to spend valuable resources on a fake tournament for teams no legitimate tournament invited. Sort of like paying some random guy to take your ugly duckling daughter to the prom. But, happy you think it's such a great tournament. Remind me again which TV network is broadcasting the games? You know, because it is such a respected and must see tournament.
