Back to the thread...I loved to 70 yard pass for a TD that Thompson threw right on the money. Anyone who thinks DT will just hand the team over to any other QB is kidding themselves. Overall, it seemed like UNT has more speed and more size. Some good, some bad today, but I do think this team is in a better spot this year at this time than was last year 's squad.

Worrying about schedules down the road...greatness! Hey, the N. Koreans might bomb Grandbury too...why not worry about that? Seems so much more credible...and a much bigger reason to worry.

Why is it "interesting"? Seems pretty normal to me, Harry started this thread as he does quite a few, and various folks on this board follow any number of ex-coaches including D. Dickey, H. Fry, J. Jones, T. Dodge, K. Aston, etc., etc. Not really news. Lots of us like to hear about our ex-coaches. You don't? And, the only reason that I am responding is because you felt the need to quote my post. You probably should have quoted the guy's post who started the thread if you have some problem with it being started in the first place.

Well, this IS NOT BB RELATED...so wrong forum but have not gotten a respionse from you about this as yet.... WHAT SIZE SHIRT FOR THE GMG.COM FLAG FB GAME FOR YOU THIS YEAR???? Am ording the shirts next Monday (April 1st). Will go with an XL for you unless I hear otherwise...bigger would be better than smaller, right?

Really unhappy to see this news! Clarke is a great young man with an outstanding family and support system who very much supported the program. Clarke will be an asset to whichever team he ends up playing for and I hope he already has one nailed down. It will be a team I will follow and hopefully get to see play in person. I had heard this rumor recently, and from what I can understand this is pretty much Clarke's decision. Whatever the case, I thank Clarke for the year he spent as part of the Mean green Nation, and wish him nothing but the best of success going forward. This young man has a great career in front of him both ON and OFF the court. For one, I will very much miss Clarke, the Overlander family and the "gaggle" of friends and family that always showed up for each game to support the Mean Green. Thank you Clarke...thank you to all the Overlander's. You will be missed...on and off the court. All the best with your career and know that this is one member of the Mean green nation that will be following your career and looking forward to seeing you play!

Interesting how this went...Mexico was the far better team early, then the US got it together a bit, made some runs, held the ball a bit and saw some excellent play out of goal and the back line late top preserve the tie. Mexico was horrible on set plays! I think the Mexican Coach may be in a bit of "hot water". These guys are much better than they have been playing, while the US still looks a bit erratic and unsettled. Hats off the Beasley, Gonzales and Guzman. Wondering if Donovan will ever reappear????

My son grew from 5'10" to 6'1" between the time he was 18 and 21. I don't think that his is a rare case as have seen many kids I worked with in soccer do the exact same thing. Lots of growing in males takes place after their 18th birthdays. At least that has been my experience as a parent and as a person who has worked with a lot of young males athletes on the soccer fields.
