For me...I'd prefer games against ARMY, NAVY and AIR FORCE on a regular basis at Apogee. All D1 schools and always a great atmosphere and large crowds when we get these folks to play in Denton. I would have also mentioned Oklahomea State, but I think PLumm said I couldn't mention Big XII teams...

Not a bad idea...but tell me why you think UNT should honor a Colorado player? Think Colorado might honor Abner Haynes if we played at their house? Could be a cool idea if we got a one and one from the 'buffs. Would love to have your friend with us at Apogee...maybe for any game...not just a possible Colorado game.

YIKES! That "Devil brew" can do funny things to a person's cognitive abilities!!! As to the FIU players..."if you got it...flaunt it"...I guess! Seriously doubt that anyone was too offended having witnessed first hand what goes on for "clothing" on some of those Florida Beaches. Coach to players...keep it zipped on the beach guys! Trolling is something we do when fishing...besides you might just catch crabs! Just sayin.....

Reported to be in the $400K range for the first year and growing to a tad over $900K by the third year of the contract...total three year contract reported to be about $1.9 million over the three years....lowest on the Piston's roster. BUT, really doesn't matter...if Tony performs the way Tony is capable of performing, by year three he will be making mega-millions. The important thing is that he got a contract and a three year one and he is on his way!

The Vikings is AWESOME...great show...grab a beer, turn it on and enjoy! Hot Viking females in the show as well...helps make it even better! ha! That and some great Viking slah and burn stuff!

Congrats Tony...great news. BTW...he was in Denton and on the UNT campus this week. Made a pretty quick retun to UNT campus for someone who some on here said would "never darken the doorstep of UNT again". This is really great news...of course for Tony, but also for the Mean Green Nation.

Sure...what time can you be there...I'll set up a meeting for you and while they are waxing and detailing your car you can give them the benefit of all your marketing expertise, and tell them about everything they are doing wrong. Who would you like to meet with first?

You didn't like that promo either? What a surprise. You know...a fan vote using the Internet, in person voting, etc., etc. seemed pretty darn engaging to me. Pretty good size fan vote seems to indicate that lots of fans participated. And it appears fans from a lot of different eras participated. But, I guess it's "only at North Texas" again, right?

Did I not say it was cool? Have no clue about their fan forum....not my school...don't care...I have zero UTSA envy. I just like having them as CUSA mates. I can rely on you and others to keep me up to date on what every one else is doing that is so great and what UNT is doing so poorly. I don't need to know about fan boards other than the ones relating to schools I graduated from and/attended. I have others here to keep me up to date on all the cool stuff by others. Makes it much less time consuming that way for me.

Got to meet Coach Monarch briefly today...welcomed him to the Mean Green Nation. We can all hope he meshes well with the other coaches and players and makes a positive difference. I guess we will all see soon enough.

If only we could fire some so-called fans.....if only. And no...smarty pants...not that guy! Well maybe that guy....

I wonder if UTSA fans are posting on their board...do they have one?.... Some of the great stuff UNT is doing and has done to engage its fan base...like the All-Century Team thing for one...OH, UTSA doesn't really have a history as yet, but kudos to them on this promo. Really is pretty darn cool. Really great to see the Mean Green fan base caring so much about what UTSA does...all the while trashing them as CUSA members. I think this is a natural rival thing and a great road trip for the Mean Green fan ase, so this "look at all the great things this start up is doing" is really good to see. Never saw this much regarding any of our SBC mates.

Man, if I only had a nickel for each time someone on this board said..."if this or that doesn't happen I am done"... If only, if only. I might be able to drink free beer for life and share a bunch of it with Thor. I know one "fan" who says that at least two or three times each year...hasn't left YET...I am still waiting for him to actually mean what he says....of course, I hope he continues to just throw out the idle threats.

What are you the Masked Crusader or something these days? You always seem to want to come on and "talk" for someone else...coming to the "defense" of one who certainly does not need any help. Unless, of course, it was something I posted. Ha! Do you really want to get into the "support for North Texas" thing? I think what I do and the amount I give along with the time I give can be stacked up pretty well against most...if, of course, one includes what I do also for UNT in a non-athletic capacity as well. So, let's not try the "support for North Texas thing", OK? I 100% support the PEOPLE as long as they are with my Alma Mater...very much unlike many who seem to delight in trying to make the people of UNT (who are by the way UNT) look as bad as possible. You do realize that I am a grad of two other universities and attended a third "other" university...so, I am pretty "up" on other university message boards. The boards of universities I care about that is...I could not care less about what goes on within or on the boards of schools I have ZERO connection with, and that certainly in no way justifies the venom spewed on here by some of our so-called fans against coaches and administrators of UNT. If I were in a position to "hire and fire" at UNT, well, I could do something...I am not...and the last I heard neither were our self-styled experts on all things related to hiring and firing at UNT. Also...do you have any idea why I use the "only at North Texas" thing? You read this board and perhaps another...you should "get it"...but after this post, I am thinking you do not "get it" at all, Mr. Masked Crusader, Sir!

Excellent.....thanks for quoting my older post...I stand 100% behind what I said in relation to June Jones and, and would if I were the SMU AD have told June Jones to "hit the streets". Let's see...did Monarch leave UNT for a "better" gig only to be denied that gig and then return to UNT? No? Well...that's what June Jones did...so not quite the same thing. But, since you want to play the "I am so much holier than thou" thing...like you often want to tend to do fearing no recourse from those whom you feel the need to criticize...PLEASE show me where I said the guy did not have character issues? I do feel he should have honored the contract he signed and should have passed on coming to UNT. And, given the other "issues" I would not have hired him for the UNT position. But, as was with the June Jones situation, I was not doing the hiring, nor was I asked for my opinion on the hire. So there Mr. Smarty-pants....I do, however, stand by the "some amazing comments" part as well...if it bothers you...gee, maybe you read into it more than was intended...but, you know...Only at North Texas! Seems to me, the only person doing the scolding here in none other than our esteemed moderator. And, seem to me that you are scolding me. You don't agree that some of the comments were/are pretty darn amazing considering the guy is a brand new coach for a UNT program. Oh, that's right...at UNT the tradition is that it seems to be sport for some to trash our own...I keep forgetting that it is "Only at North Texas". Since the guy is now part of the UNT staff, I see no reason to publicly criticize him. You know...only at North Texas where the so-called fans like to figuratively... eat their own! Yummy, huh?
