  1. Andrew...the one at Fouts was not an Alumni Pavilion. The one now is the very first Alumni Pavilion for UNT. I assume the reason was that there was simply not enough room for a facility that size in the stadium, and for the fact that it will be used for events other than those associated with football. Hope to see you at Oktoberfest Saturday!
  2. Yep!
  3. Adler...thanks for starting this post. Looking forward to seeing you Saturday at Oktoberfest...come on down to the Pavilion Saturday (Sept. 7th) and enjoy some great beers and German food and fun!
  4. I like the Mean Green's chances to go 2-0. Road game will not be easy, but I am thinking the Mean Green win this one! Remember, you can watch the game and enjoy Oktoberfest at the same time at the Alumni Pavilion. Game starts at 6pm...come on by the Oktoberfest and enjoy some great German fare and great beers (Armadillo Ale Works and Independent Ales will be on hand) and watch the Mean Green take on Ohio! This Saturday, Sept. 7th...Alumni Pavilion.
  5. Pretty interesting play book overall for the game in my opinion. Good to see.
  6. How surprising...once again you jump in after it is all done, and add your useless 2cents. In case you did not notice, I did not start this...and, Matt and I took care of it in person Saturday. Like I said, all good. No need for you to add nothing to the situation. Go find some other person to troll please.
  7. Our son, who eventually became a UNT ball boy for several seasons, attended his first UNT BB game at less than a week old! You can do this....I know you can! Be there...all four of you!
  8. Does this pertain to basketball as well?
  9. Thanks, guys! I'll be there Monday. Let's pack the place!
  10. Ha..works for me, Grant...but lay off those -1's. LOL
  11. Great..will be good to have you back.
  12. Don't put a lot of energy into worrying about what 20-something year olds post on Twitter. Remember, Johnny Football said he could wait to get out of College Station. He meant "College Station" itself (specifically the cops, etc.), not A&M. Trying to figure out what these kids mean by how they use Twitter is a losing game most of the time.
  13. Just wondering...will there be a Coach Mac Show Monday? It is a holiday, but I hope they run a show. Anyone known for sure? Thanks.
  14. I am terrible at estimating attendance numbers, but I'll guess the announced attendance is over 18k.
  15. Seeing that IV made me really happy. Knew then it was a cramp for DT and nothing more. Do not recall seeing it done on the sideline before this evening. I am watching the Georgia-Clemson game on TV right now and Georgia just recently took a player to the locker room for an IV due to cramping. Glad our guys just stayed on the sidelines for tat little deal!
  16. Well, "appears" seems to be the operative word here. Thought the crowd was a little disappointing for a home opener. Sure the heat hurt, but thought we would see more students than we did given tat about 4,000 turned out for the pep rally. Thought t he Alumni side, what I could see of it, was just OK. Less than I expected. But, remember announced attendance will include all season ticket holders whether they were present or not and every student ID scanned no matter how long they stayed. Doubtful I could have lasted long on the student side in that blazing sun and heat. While the heat probably hurt Idaho more that the Mean Green, I do think it worked against attendance.
  17. Thought he looked really good for a true freshman during mop up time. Some nice throws and really good movement. I do think the QB situation is in good shape for several years! A very good thing for the Mean Green!
  18. The words " how do you like me now" come to mind. Great game DT. Exactly what the Mean Green needed to start the season. Glad it was just a cramp! At least I am hopeful that's all it was!
  19. Thank you! Great to hear. I agree with you as well, and here's to seeing the Pavilion grow in crowd-size and evnets through the year...not just on game days. A lot of opportunity ahead.
  20. You know what? That is one amazing piece of work. GREATNESS...pure greatness. Well donr, Rick!
  21. Well, the word "apalling" in reference to my post comes to mind. But, no worries, Matt...all is good!
  22. No, Matt, what is actually appalling is the fact that you have a degree from UNT and and ended up with such poor reading comprehension skills! That is what is appalling here. Please show me anything in my statement that is a "blanket defense of Benford". Doubt you can unless you continue to use you lack of reading comprehension skills. In your attempt to knock me for something you "assumed" I indicated, you completely missed the point. Go back, read it again, and this time try really hard to understand what it actually says. Here's a hint....seems I was indicating that perhaps Benford has been way too soft on a certain returning player for his "off court issues" as he is still on the team while Friar was booted. Hint...hint...hint. Get it? SERIOUS lack of reading skills here, young man. Serious! One might just say "appalling".
  23. I like my seats even more with this forecast...bring on that heat! Gonna bake some Idaho spuds on the Apogee turf Saturday.
  24. Must have been pretty serious as we have a returning player who seemed to have some , let's just say, interesting off-court issues as well. Oh, well...there goes that...it's all Benford's fault again theory. Looks like the guy could not get his act together off the court. Too bad, but doubtful this has much effect on the team.
  25. Wondering what your thoughts are on your floor seats this year after having given them away for a good part of last season. Will we see you back in your usual spot this season? Hope so...missed seeing a regular in his seats looking across the way last season. I am thinking that this team just might be fun to watch this season. Have no idea how good or not they will be entering CUSA, but seems we do have a bit of reason to think UNT will be a factor this season. What say you?
