Hey, I get it...believe me. And, like I said..appreciate you setting this up. I guess though I am sort of with the why set up a local watch party for home games mind-set. Don't think there is an official watch party at Hooter's this week...is there? Always thought watch parties were for away games, but, heck, what do I know? No problem at all..at least UNT fans are finally coming out FOR SOMETHING. And, that is never a bad thing. Too bad they would rather support the place in Fairview with their dollars and spirit instead of being at Apogee when so close. But, at least they will be wearing green and cheering for UNT...too bad the team won't see or hear them. Like you said, baby steps. I guess. Your examples of success are great ones...so, maybe the baby steps work. Hope you will be at Apogee as usual. Assume you will be.

Were not some here drooling over the Tech coach? Sure isn't too impressive, in my opinion, so far. Funny how that happens, isn't it? Hard to make the right call as you really never know how any coach will do. Not impressed with the La Tech crowd either. Sort of like a HS game.

By by top 25, TCU. Looking like it might be a bit tough for the todes..."frogs" in the Big XIi this season if this is any indication. TCU doesn't have a QB they can rely on it seems.

I'll definitely take DT over Young after seeing what Young has done this season to date. Am sure Young will improve with playing time, but I am just not impressed at all so far.

I have never seen a team catch more breaks and get more calls go their way than Texas Tech tonight. Wow...talk about getting all the breaks! I hope UNT starts greeting some breaks like Tech has tonight. The TCU fans must simply be she'll shocked over some of these calls...all going Tech's way tonight. Glad to see the Tech win, but wow! And, TCU's Patterson looks like a little gnome on te sidelines!

One's career choice and major has a lot to do with it...lots of teachers and musicians graduate from UNT...and that's a great thing, but these careers do not often offer the highest starting salaries. And...averages suck!

Enjoyed it. Really liked the segment on Zach Orr and his family. Agree, the ending was a bit depressing. So, beat Ball State and the next show might have a better ending for the Mean Green faithful.

Seriously? Someone could drive to a watch party and watch the entire game, but...to quote you..."can't be at the game". Why not? Love that you set this up for fols and am sure you will get some Akers, but this seems odd for a home game with the watch party that close to Apogee. I guess there would be situations, but just having a hard time figuring out what that might be with it so close to Apogee. Guess I am just saying that we need as many folks at Apogee as possible. We need rears in the seats!

You don't get around much I guess. Lots of hotels in the bigger cities in places like NYC and Chicago and LA, etc. charges this and more. When you travel for a living and need a beer...well, it is what it is. Not saying it's good or appropriate...especially for those in Denton who think $4 for a pint of craft ale is too much. Just saying it is what it is. My wife and I paid about $12 each for two beers in the Paris Airport and paid a bit more than that in a bar in Copenhagen a couple of years ago...when you need a good beer, well, you pay the freight! You just grin and bear it and enjoy your beer. Ha!

Just do it and stop talking about it. Go see how other universities have handled it and get it done. But, being a tad more realistic...I do understand that there are many players in this decision (both inside and outside the athletic department AND UNT), and many things to be considered and worked out. Anyone who thinks you can just "snap your fingers" and it is done is seriously in need of an reality check-up.

Yes, but DeForest is no longer coaching at OSU. Really bummed about this....had always felt OSU ran a clean program and turned the corner to a "big time" Big XII contender within the rules and with a bunch of Boone's money!

Don't give a rat's rear end about Bama-A&M game! It isn't at Apogee and the Mean Green aren't playing in College Station. Anyone who even remotely considers himself or herself a Mean Green fan and stays away in order to watch Alabama-A&M on TV and who doesn't also have a close personal connection to A&M or Aabama simply cannot be called a Mean Green fan, but rather a casual observer. True, we need the casual observer as well to fill Apogee, but Mean Green FANS will not stay away due to the Alabama-A&M game. We just need more Mean Green fans who see the Mean Green as their #1 priority. So....game should have no impact on attendance.....sure, one can hope, right?

Let us know..might be a "rough spot" or two this first time out, but what a great idea.

My bride and I will be there...get your rear end there as well. Let's take care of the number of attendees each of us can. If we all do tat, and should the students turn out...attendance will take care of itself. BTW, at the Coach Mac Show Monday Hank said this game will see several yellow school buses full of middle school kids. Might help attendance numbers.

No current players or coaches involved....so they say. Lot of the article is speculation, but enough is supported with documentation and witness that it is very disturbing. Sad for my Cowboys, but if the program got into this. Well, you did it...take your medicine and move on. By the way......Can we get some photos of the coeds escorting those prospective players? Just sayin......ride 'em Cowboy! :-) Too much....too early?????? :-(
