This type of person always likes to tear folks down in the hope that it builds them up somehow. Never does, and like you note here, are usually seen as fools.

Do not believe this is a correct statement any longer. I know profs who recently gave extra credit for attending games, and I saw several profs and faculty members at today's game. Sure, there will always be that sort of stupid prof who s too full of himself or herself to care about anything but their own greatness, but this attitude is changing as the top administrators are leading the ways are quite a few deans. It will take awhile to turn it all the way around, and some will just have to retire and get out of the way, but the attitude of which you speak is not nearly as common as it once was at UNT.

Go re-read his post...he is not talking about promotions...he is referring to the BOR and their handling of RV's contract. It really isn't that hard to understand. And, can't take anything you say seriously as we don't know which of your split personalities is actually posting or why. :-)

The only thing that I will say about today's attendance is that all who stayed away and/or left early missed one of the best comeback wins I have seen in awhile...sort of reminds me of last year's LaLa televised game where folks gave up and left and missed that great comeback! If you left or stayed home, you missed the best part of a great game!

Ok, done...no problem, but stringing bits between threads may not get the continuity you need for folks to understand that it s a bit, and taking the high road never seems to create such a challenge.

Well, pigs may have started flying...GrrenBat and I are in 100% agreement for a change. Always proper to take the high road after a win when talking to those who happen to be on the losing side. Have we Mean Green fans experienced the "heartbreak of defeat" enough recently to have a bit of empathy for these folks?

As it turned out...some pretty silly early comments here! Folks tend to forget that a game is four quarters long! Geez, get off the Internet and watch the game already...you can pst all you want after the game and in so doing your posts might not look so silly.

If I were responsible...I would give game balls to DT and Chancellor on offense and Zach Orr on D and maybe Larime Lee as well. Really nice game all the way around, but DT was THE MAN out there today! Very proud of this team right now! And, the 0-fer from the D in the second half after giving up those 1st half points was something to behold!

Dial it back a little on that "as far as being a bad fan" crap-ola. Like you say, it's an opinion board...you have your opinion, I have mine..we disagree on some things, we agree on others...who the heck cares? Seems you are the one calling folks out for the way they support the program. You know, if you buy tickets and show up win, lose or draw to support the players you are somehow a bad fan and doing damage to the program? Yes, but according to some you must not just win...you must win against the proper team on the proper day and at the proper time. Get with the program MeanGreenTexan! And, for the record...I agree...leave 'em alone. They are closer to becoming rears in the seats than they ever have. Find a way to make the final push, don't give them resins and excuses to not come. We have too many "so called" fans who use every excuse they can to withdraw support for our student-athletes.
