  1. Well, you know I am too old to get it....so, go ahead and tell me! I have no clue either about this hash tag stuff! Please.....
  2. Oh, man...just realized I am still in Utah...fly back later today...with the time change this might be a no-go for me attending the Show tonight. Bummer...going to try...maybe I can bribe the pilot to gun it on the way back. Problem is, these later afternoon scheduled flights are often the ones delayed in departure. Come on American Airlines...for once be on time and give me at least a small shot at making the show tonight. Add: Crap....wifey just told me we don't land at DFW until 7:05 PM...by the time we get our luggage and drive home, no way I make it. Darn...forget that bribe to the pilot I guess! What radio station is it on? May have to listen in on the radio...FM I hope??? Wife's car doesn't get AM radio these days....
  3. Keeping it classy!
  4. And, at this point may be the most solid team the Mean Green has of the "big three". Coach P is doing a great job of building that team into a contender in CUSA. Right now I would rank our top three, in terms of where it is at this exact moment as: Women's BB Football Men's BB Women's BB has made strides under Coach P and is fun to watch...heck, I went to more women's games last year than ever before. One reason is that Coach P has done so much to support all the UNT programs that I felt almost compelled to go. Football is definitely on the right track. If you don't believe that you simply are not looking or simply so jaded that you fail to see what's in front of your face. While I believe our men's BB team will be improved this year over last, I think we will have to wait to see if the team decides to play as a team, stop pouting and play to their potential. Clearly not so last year...as evidenced by the suspension to a key player the day before the tournament in Hot Springs and the on going trials of our "top draft pick". So, yes, women's BB is a sport, UNT90. Since you say you won't come to the men's games this year, why not check out the ladies. Could be fun, yes?
  5. Really sorry to hear this. Solid and fair hit, but really hate to see these kids get hurt...ours or theirs...never a good thing. Here's wishing young Mister Mabon a speedy and full recovery.
  6. Oh, heck no...keep 'em coming! Can't wait to read your next 100 posts!
  7. HeHe...I could think of a few I wish would not have registered. Just too easy..... LOL
  8. Right there with you. Jesse said it very well.
  9. Christopher, you are correct about that, but I was referring to the print ones that show one AD..not the flashing and changing digital ones. That AD, I believe is the one that is in the format that is pretty much like the one in the Denton Record-Chronicle each week, right? Similar, yes?
  10. Thanks, Newbie, this indicates a show tomorrow evening. Yippeeeeee!
  11. Athletics would love to have a billboard and has tried. You need to check with the branding folks as to why they aren't up. As if often the case here, folks "bark up the wrong tree". As to the point...agree with ragpicker...would love to see a billboard dedicated to UNT Athletics. The DMN AD, well, not as much, but would love to see the billboards like the one athletics had a couple of years ago around the metroplex.
  12. HOF worthy! LOL... :-)
  13. I would think the one to take off would be the Monday after the bye Saturday, not the one after a game, but, like Dozer will have to wait and see. I hope there is one tomorrow as I would enjoy hearing Mac talk about the Georgia game. So, I am keeping my fingers crossed. Am sure a Mean Green Club note will be sent. If not we can find out and get it posted. Dozer is great about it so am sure he can let us know...or I can. Do think it would be fun. And, for the record, I enjoy Rudy's as the venue. A place where ownership supports the Mean Green, has great show specials and has a good space for us. Don't get the "classy" reference from GreenP1...and, I don't recall seeing him at any of the shows that I attended in the last couple of years and I rarely ever miss. So, don't get the reference...especially from one who doesn't attend regularly. But, would love to see GreenP1 become one of the regulars. I know he likes beer...and it is always cold at Rudy's for Coach Mac Showtime.
  14. I would say a pretty fair ranking from top to bottom. Not too much to argue about here in my opinion.
  15. Promise? Pinky swear?
  16. Oh, never mind....
  17. Very good perspective here....and done without bashing anything or anyone for a change. I agree with your message here and, yes, I very much recall that game at Texas Stadium. Man, I hated playing at Texas Stadium...but I digress. Tulane may be the key to the season. Get a rare road win and, as untjim1995, said folks will continue to notice the Mean Green. This game is really one that can set up the team for the rest of the season. The Mean Green "should" beat Tulane, but the road record of recent years says UNT may be in for a fight to get that elusive and rare road win. I think UNT wins this one, but doubt that it will be easy, and think the final might be close...like 27-20 for the good guys!
  18. Super! Todd has done a super job setting these up pretty much as the head guy in Collin County. He has now worked over a pretty long period of time and the results are really positive. We need some folks in Dallas, in FT. Worth, etc., etc. to take up the banner as well. We have folks in Phoenix, Ariz. and San Antonio leading the way to build groups and that is more great news. Thanks to Todd for showing how it can be done. Really glad it went so well.
  19. Jesse...thanks for the effort in trying to get UNT alums and fans out for the watch party. What you see here is what a lot of folks do not realize when they talk about "why" we don't have watch parties in every corner of the country. When we try, the results vary...as you see....and it takes a dedicated soul to keep trying. I applaud your efforts. And will do what I can to help you build a group in the Phoenix area. Hang in there. As you noted...you guys had a good time. I think your approach here is a good one. Team up with the opposing team fans for joint watch parties until enough UNT types are interested enough and learn about these events to make it a UNT only event. Well done, and thanks so much. Good day for the Mean Green!
  20. As do a few others. Opinions are fine. Agree...disagree, but stop the personal attacks. It says nothing positive about the person doing such things. And, GMG.Com will be a much more enjoyable place to discuss all things UNT.
  21. Funny, UT seems to be playing with a bit more passion tonight on defense against K State. UNT up at half 17-7 (sorry smooth fresh, but it isn't over yet...only half). But, Ash now out as QB and McCoy is in....you never know where that will go....
  22. Well, someone gets it. I take people at their word, especially when it counts...like talking to teams who may pay you big bucks to play a game. Those folks are serious and cannot afford to pay for lack of effort and potential not realized due to lack of effort. It was the right thing for TM to do...truth is not easy for some folks (are you listening UNT90?) to handle. Does not make TM any less of a player nor any less of a potential NBA all-star, but it will take playing every game hard, not taking any plays off and developing that potential that he clearly said was what he did not do his last season at UNT. And, if you think other players did not follow his lead last season at UNT you are a very very naive individual. Couple this with a newly minted head coach, clearly trying to find his way as a D-1 HC, and you have a season like we all experienced last season. It is no slam on anyone, it is simply the facts of a "lost" season. It happens, the world still spins and the sun still shines. And, a new season will start soon...as it will the next year and the next and the next. Let's hope that everyone from player to coaching staff decides to be a team and operate on the same page this season. If they do, my bet with UNT90 is the pure definition of a slam dunk!
  23. Much to be proud of today! This team may well be the one that turns the Mean Green football fortunes around. They really are a TEAM, and it shows what a team can do when EVERYONE buys in and plays to their potential. This tean believes they can win, and I think they can as well. Well done guys. Hats off to Mac and Co. For having the team prepared and ready. I do think the Mean Green went to Georgia believing they could win, and they gave #9 Georgia all they wanted and MORE than they expected.
  24. LSU should beat the snot out of these overrated Puppy Dawgs! But, it is the SEC, so you never know who is going to show up and who isn't.
