Given the hard rain at the very worst time, I think we had a great turnout. Really enjoyable pre-game with friends and really good game. UNT is pretty darn good...at home! Now...go beat La Tech on the road .... Can do! Nice win tonight...over 300 yards rushing...greatness!

Not ignorant...just not paying attention. Lots of other stuff to pay attention to as an incoming freshman or transfer...so, a bit understandable. Good thing that one other girl was paying attention, huh? You say there was a sign on campus as well...one? Or one that you know of on campus? I believe it is also mentioned in all that fine print fees info provided everyone, and believe it is mentioned at Freshman orientation, etc., etc. But, I know I didn't even go to freshman orientation, did not see an academic adviser ever in my four years as an undergrad (and graduated on time without issue). I found out about it at registration from all the crap they passed out at the various tables sitting around registration. Yep, we had to physically go "TO" registration in person. Ain't the computer great these days? Kids are so pampered now-a-days! ha! Oh, and mentioned at the big orientation for freshman at Apogee as well...but, that is a new thing, so yippeee...they are finally, finally including athletics in the whole orientation process...might help. No reason the current batch of students should be in any way confused about this or ignorant of the fact unless they are totally oblivious to the world around them. Seriously...kids are so pampered these days! ha! Take some initiative PEOPLE! Just having a tad of nostalgic fun here...but, really...today's students have no excuse...none for not knowing about the availability of free tickets to sporting events at UNT.

Correct you are! But, let me add...any student who does not already know about free admission to athletic events has not been paying attention AT ALL, and is most likely the variety of student who will go through four years ... or more...of college and never attend an athletic event. It's hard for some of us to "get that", but some folks just are not interested. I know, I know....but #truth

Saw how positive it is in planning these out of area events when there is someone who is positive about wanting to help. Get with me. I think you have my personal email and phone number already. Someone needs to post the facts here to counter the constant BS and misinformation from folks who have some personal axe to grind and want to always portray UNT in the very worst light possible. As long as there is a cadre of haters I will do my best to at least try to post the facts so folks will realize that some just have a personal agenda to exploit and will at least have the chance to see what's going on for themselves. You want to post the hate...I'll take care of the positive side. Just a difference in perspective. Sorry it bothers you so much. You'll get over it. Game day tomorrow. Should give you plenty to bitch and moan about even when the Mean Green wins. Just try to call and get the info straight before you do. Milk or coffee for dunking those donuts? I will be happy to stop having to post this as soon as the haters stop posting the half-truths and inuendos to push some personal vendetta.

Enough to be 0-5 in OCC games prior to running the table against the Sunbelt. Not the same today. Even Dickey...if he were still coaching...is he?...surly would have changed things up to attack today's more athletic teams and newer defensive schemes.

UNT was on local TV(NBC 5 I believe) with this as well and there has been more than one article in the local paper. Get it right or get off the pot! If you are going to try to play the "everything is bad at UNT" game at least do your homework. Stop relying on Emmitt to call...you know how he handles that sort of thing. Seems SMU and UNT are at the same point with their "excuses" regarding the issue.

Ok, let's focus.. According to today's Dallas morning News article.... And I quote "Fans could be able to buy a brew by early next year at Ford Stadium and Moody Coliseum". Next year? Seems this is not completely settled as yet...guess why? SMU has not as yet filed the proper paperwork with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission for the required permit. I quote again "on the SMU athletics website, athletic director Rick Hart wrote last week that alcohol sales are 'something we are studying'". That sounds a whole lot like the position UNT is in at the same exact time. I quote the SMU AD further "As you are likely aware, the distribution of beer on a college campus encompasses a number of issues which must be properly vetted". Two headlines of the article... 1). "SMU LOOKS at beer sales". And 2). "SMU might let football! basketball fans buy beer". So, let's focus and see where this "Genius" AD is on the whole question....seems to be at the exact spot our AD is at with the question. Did you and Emmitt get together to figure out how the best way it is to post misleading information so you can play the "everything is screwed up at UNT but oh so wonderful everywhere else" game? Really a bit beneath you to pull this big guy! Both schools are still very much in the process. Neither have made the final decision. But, I really doubt either see it as any sort of race or see it as any sort of one- upmanship.

Sure the heck looked like it last evening. Doubt UNT will get pushed around much under the basket this year. Doubt we'll see tears on the bench either. These kids looked ready to play and ready for the play!

Sort of like crime stats and child abuse rates.
