There you go "assuming" again old timer! When one starts with a pre-conceived erroneous assumption, one often reads what one "assumes" is written, not what is actually written.

Yes! Rudy's.

Due to the continuing demand for tickets to the Heart Of Dallas Bowl
KRAM1 replied to ipd054's topic in Mean Green Football
Tickets must be selling well for the game. Mean Green Nation turning out! Great. Maybe those attendance predictions will be smashed as turnout beats expectations. Hope so. Probably can't count on much help from the UNLV folks...this one is on the Mean Green Nation! And, the Mean Green Nation will make it happen! Beat UNLV. -
If you are hungry before the Heart of Dallas Bowl
KRAM1 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
What? Come on...head to the Mean Green tailgate event and chow down on Rudy's breakfast tacos and some Mean Green pre-bowl party atmosphere. To heck with these "outsiders". Ha! -
Ticketmaster fees perhaps? That's why I dislike Ticketmaster...fee you to death. I try to avoid these ticket broker/seller folks all I can. Can't always do so, but whenever I can....
-
Ticketmaster fees, right?
-
Silver...you might want to re-read it. It is clearly saying USPS did not have troubles while the "corporate guys" did. Reading comprehension classes start soon at your local JC! Ha!

It's OK for a Lt.to have other officers run personal errands for them? Who knew? Ha! Now, don't go all ballistic on me here...just poking some fun at you. I know this would be an off-duty favor for a buddy, and that in no way do officers run personal errands for superiors on "company time". Just buds helping out buds, I know! This is a nice thing and a very supportive thing for the City to do...am sure it covers all city employees. I hope lots of Dallas Employees come out. I'll bet lots are UNT grads or attended UNT. Thanks for posting this, Emmitt...you might have helped get a few more rears in the stands on top of those you already mention. This is helping. It's great to see Dallas helping as well. I know it is not directly in support of UNT, but rather the HOD Bowl event, but heck...helps! Thanks Dallas...thanks Emmitt! Beat UNLV!

Just asking, but why us that on the ticket office folks? If the ticket office folks got them to Fed Ex in plenty of time, seems to me that the problem lies with Fed Ex. If Fed Ex guarantees overnight delivery and then screws the pooch on that...how does our ticket office control that? Not arguing or defending anyone, just wanting your take on why the ticket office is being blamed for what seems to be a Fed Ex problem? HOD folks do not have the issue of "priority point" seating arrangements. So they could just pick seats and send them out randomly it seems. If you are assigning seats by any priority you have to set a deadline for orders, review the orders by priority described and then send them out in bulk it seems. That means those with more priority points get better seats...or so the theory goes. Some would be pretty hacked to have donated to the Mean Green Club at a high level just to find some random dude got a 50-yard line seat while they were at the 20 or something like that. HOD folks do not have that factor to have to deal with..,thus...they can send out randomly as orders come in. Just asking...like I said, not trying to beat up on anyone or defend anyone. Just interested in your perspective as you seem pretty certain who you want to point the finger at for all of this. Hope you get your tickets today...keeping fingers crossed for everyone. Just got mine yesterday!

Fri., Sat., Mon and Tues. remain for Fed Ex to get this fixed! Four days is a lot of time in the Fed Ex world. At least I hope it is.....keeping fingers and toes crossed for all who have not received their tickets as yet. Who knows, the Fed Ex boys and girls might even try Sunday deliveries to ease the back-up. Hope so. Seems some corp. reputations might be on line here...the post office seems to have been able to deliver throughout the local ice mess, right?
-
Yep..I get it. You just felt the need to take a shot. Hope you feel better. Happy New a Year! No problem, I understand it helps some folks feel like one of the "in crowd". See you at the game...Beat UNLV! Who cares about unicorns anyway, right? Or what they emit from their rear ends!
-
I guess that's what you get for thinking. Nice shot though. I didn't even know unicorns did that sort of thing.....
-
Correct...no seat locations at tailgate... Just the way the ticket system is set up. I really do dislike this Ticketmaster thing.

You expect delivery on Christmas Day? Patience, Grasshopper, still plenty of time. Am hopping mine arrives soon as well, but am certainly not in any sort of panic mode.....YET! :-)

What Do You Think of Derek Thompson Now?: A Remembrance
KRAM1 replied to MeanGreenZen's topic in Mean Green Football
I don't agree. DT, in no way, "has been bad over the span of his career" as you say. DT has done what he could to better this team and program. Seems to me UNT with DT under center is playing in its first bowl since 2004 and the first Jan. 1st bowl since the 1940's. DT is the QB of the team and an integral part of helping to turn this program into a winning one once again. DT is one of the leaders of the Mean Green. We have seen lots of UNT QB's unable to lead the team to a bowl game. DT us not one of those. DT will lead the Mean Green out on Jan. 1st in the HOD Bowl. That, in itself, is enough to counter the "bad over the span of his career" thinking. Good luck to DT and all the Mean Green! Beat UNLV! -
You able to make the game?

Merry Christmas To The Mean Green Nation & To All...
KRAM1 replied to PlummMeanGreen's topic in Mean Green Football
Merry Christmas to the Mean Green Nation! The happiest of happy New Year as well...starting off with a Mean Green Jan. 1st victory over UNLV in the HOD Bowl! -
I would definitely do it again. And, I agree, the buffet is just fine. Some meals are better than others, but that gives for lots of things. My wife and I are more than happy with our investment in UNT, Apogee and the Mean Green. Best football experience in the metroplex!
-
Like I have said many times....as a fan base UNT must learn how to win as well as our teams needing to learn how to win. Right now our fan base is apathetic and we have not been able to sell out Apogee...much less have consistently decent crowds. The need "to learn how to win" includes our student population as well. Lots of growing needed in the fan base. It will come, it will come, but there is still a good bit of learning and growing to do. HOD bowl attendance would be a great place to take the next step forward in the process. See you there!

Funny...I never have nor would I ever call you or anyone else a crappy fan. Seems you are the one doing the name calling here! Not me..don't do that stuff. Interesting you felt the need. In fact I see no names at all in that original post. Touch a nerve or what?
-
Yes, really. You think they are any good? Usually don't care whom the announcers are, but these are a tad tough for me to listen to taoday. I guess you don't knpow either...as you doid not answer. I tuned in late, so did not catch the early pre-run up.
-
Hmmm...if so, why does anyone think the BOR or anyone else in a position of authority would care who coaches BB or how the team does? The fans sure don't. As fans, if you want to exert any pressure than it might be a good idea to do more than just post on a message board. Let's see...don't buy season tickets...don't buy individual game tickets...don't donate to the program, don't show up to watch the games, but by golly you better listen to me because I post on GMG.Com that I am unhappy with Coach Benford! Yep...got it...BOR, you listening? Too funny...comic HOF stuff here! Cue the "we support the players" and I would come but it's Benford's fault crowd for response.....3-2-1... Anyone else notice the "sisters of the poor" teams that some big name boys have been playing lately? Wonder what the excuses were for that scheduling...and what the crowd size was at the games? Seems UNT is not the only one playing a pretty weak pre-conference schedule.

Green92, what don't you believe? The 51 players over a 3.0 or the " we don't give special favors to athletes" post?

Who are the announcers doing this game? ESPN and all that, but a tad hard to listen to for me.

Really, there is a Calvin Murray? How come GreenBat didn't know that? Who knew....well, Marty knew!
