Plumm...you can stop with the weather crap...with our fan vase you are probably helping several hundred change plans regarding attending! Just keep posting the " in the 60's on New Years Day" stuff. We have a fragile fan base easily scared off by the least of weather possibilities! Don't give them any reason for second thoughts! :-)

Always late to the party, Matt? "We" aren't rationalizing anything. But, doubtful you would be willing to consider anything that does not meet your pre-conceived message board driven view on the subject. So, why even try?

One might...just might...believe that a top 20 team would be able to beat a lower level program with a bigger margin of victory than a struggling D1 program. Guess that concept never crossed your mind, huh?

What else is new? Does not surprise me one bit....just an extension of the "everyone gets a ribbon" mentality.

Excellent...the Denton train arrangements seem to be such that the riders will miss the opportunity to attend the tailgate. Glad to know that all the stations will not experience the same. Was a main reason I decided against the train.

Questionable IQ. Anyone else notice that Tech's starting QB just walked in and told Kingsbury that he wanted to transfer? Odd...no reported reason given. Kingsbury says he is shocked and had no idea that was coming. Kid is out of the bowl game and transferring. Was a walk-on freshman who started several games! Does seem odd. Is it the ghost of the Pirate still floating around tech? Or maybe the curse of the Pirate? Strange doings in Lubbock. Anyone know a team needing a proven QB?

When is that event again? Assume you volunteered for this undercover duty each year...and, "undercover" now takes on a whole new meaning! The stories you really must have! You probably could...and should...write a book.

Correct. Perhaps some changes might be made that would keep this from happening in the future and perhaps when these cops get fired they would stay fired. That would be real accountability...not window dressing. Seems the message is, not to worry, screw-up, get fired...no problem. You'll be back on the job shortly. Thank you union rep and/or threatened or real lawsuit. We often read they are fired and within a short few months, right back on duty. Don't you just love that sort of accountability? This glass house thing is tough sometimes and no career is more in a glass house than that of one who serves and protects. Tough deal for sure. Not for the faint of heart. But, we can all hope that some changes might happen at UNT as well due to this ticket situation. Procedure changes...as you note...can be as good as people changes from time to time depending upon the message. Chief Brown is still around, right? Head guy...responsible guy, right? Instituted some procedural changes that helped, right? Keeping fingers crossed, but still think it odd to use as a mocking example. But, let me be clear...I did have a really good laugh. It was pretty darn funny. And, I'm sure the message resonated with lots of folks. Good one, Lt.
