UPDATE: ArmyofDad is donating items for this year's concession stand through his company! This is great news and a very kind gesture. It will help provide additional funds for the Cheer Team scholarship fund as we will not have to purchase as many items this year! I cannot thank ArmyofDad and his company enough for this support. Hey...I was up and yelling too....just not as animated as these guys. They were actually fun to watch...we need a lot more just like them...just not with the potty mouth. No biggie as Ben said....just need to remember and think about the ladies and kids in the area. While you can "pop in a DVD" and hear that stuff at home...that is a personal choice...no one chose to have to hear that last night. Does not reflect well on UNT. But...not too old to get up and yell loud and proud which I did. See you Saturday at the So Miss game...as always in the green room before the game!

My only comment to my wife after your classless yelling was, "man, I am really sure his lady friend is so impressed". Ha! And, for the record, the guy you are talking about has been buying season tickets for 35 straight years for both football and basketball and led the charge to re-cover the Super Pit seats in green instead of the original orange. Don't believe that or want to call BS on that? Go check out the plaque of donor names in the concourse of the Super Pit. You will find mine there as well. So, you can call BS all you want AFTER you have been around and buying season tickets for 35 straight years. You did a great job other than that burst of foul language...and as to the "naked kid"... Really? The kid is 11 years old and was trying to get on the jumbo screen by pulling his t-shirt over his head. You really want to compare what you did in making a fool of yourself for a few moments to an 11year old kid, right you go....And, his grandparents are long attached to UNT...the grandfather having played football for both UNT and the NY Jets. So, if you have a problem with his 11year old grandson having some harmless fun, why don't you just take it up with his grandfather? I am sure he'd be happy to "discuss" it with you in person. Now...let me say this in conclusion...I was complimenting you and another fan on your rowdiness and said ZERO about your foul moth or anything negative. Why you decided to go off on it just tells us all why you thought it was appropriate to yell out as you did...immaturity plain and simple. I had no problems what so ever with your performance other than that burst of profanity. You will also note that I said nothing to you about it at the game or on this board until you brought it up. Why you did? No clue. So, thanks for supporting the Mean Green...loved your enthusiasm overall. Hope to see you at another game soon and maybe you will start that 35 year season ticket tradition...I am more than happy to introduce you to either of the fine gentlemen mentioned here and you can discuss this with them in person.

Well...I think you were one of the two guys I was talking about. You did a great job! Need more fans like you really getting into the games. That used to be me, but I am a bit old for that, but I do my best. There was another guy with a young lady a row or two behind you that was also doing a pretty good job...except when he came out loudly with a few four letter words...not cool, but he was giving the refs heck. Great job, Ben....thanks for being there to support these players...and for really getting into the game. One of the best games to witness in person in a long time. Now...those here who now discount the Creighton win can figure out how to discredit this one. Gonna be a tad hard as La Tech was 4-0 in conference and 14-4 .... Now 14-5 over all. But, am sure they will try.

Hey...where were you sitting? Have a young lady with you? A couple of guys sitting near us were doing a great job hitting on the refs and were pretty darn vocal most of the game. Greatness! Maybe one was you? Where did you sit?

So....really...how'd that work out for you? Ha! I think everyone was thinking the same thing, but these guys fed off the fans and hung in there tonight. If you were there you saw Jordan extolling the fans late in the second half and you heard the fans respond. Great to see a few...few...students back to help the cep rowed and the noise. Had a couple of loud and crazy guys up by us tonight...made for some great cheering and comic relief. Great game to attend tonight. It's about time...team earned this one.

Ha! I know...I know...I cringe when I hear it referred to as such, but it is what the game is known as to the vast majority of players. Like Adman said....just walk across any college tailgate area...or head to East Side in Denton...and you will see a lot of corn hole being played. Yes, yes...odd name for sure!

You can bring cash day if event, but please if you choose this option..do show up. Each year I am personally stuck paying for shirts for people who wanted to pay cash at the door and then don't show up for whatever reason. Since I don't want the Cheer Squad to suffer I personally cover this cost, but I really think it should not happen. So, for all wanting to pay cash at the door...OK, but just remember your shirt is ordered ahead of time and paid for ahead of time. Just be considerate and show up and have a great time. MG Coach2...I realize this is your first game, so not directed your way at all...just gave me a good intro set up to let folks know that costs are incurred ahead of time. See you at the game. OK...not to take away at all from the main event, but we are thinking of adding a CORN HOLE contest to the Basketball Game event for the less "athletic" and/or "experienced" (see Older) or otherwise inclined folks. Same fee...$25 per player (includes the super special classic t-shirt) and same date, time and place: MARCH 8th 2:00PM UNT Volleyball Gym The game would be played as a bracket type contest crowing the one winner at the end of the event. May play with modified rules to move it along so we can get it done pretty much the same time (or before) the basketball game ends...but GMG.Com Corn Hole Championship is a possibility.... So, before we go too much further...any interest in this option in order to be part of this fun event and after-event celebration and awards ceremonty at Oak Street? If there is enough interest, we will definitely set it up. MINIMUM EIGHT (8) players to make this work. Yes, more can sign up, but need minimum of 8 or it is a no go for this time. So...any interest out there for this less-sweaty skills competition?

Problem is...I have to order and PAY for a t-shirt long before we know if you can show up, and we have to get you drafted to a team...Coach may not want to draft someone who "might" can show up. Definitely understand the situation you are in, so no problem. If you can...show up...we will put you on a team and give you a shirt of some sort to wear...usually have a few from prior years around. If you show...you can pay the $25 at the door. I just will not plan on seeing you until I do at the registration table. Deal?

A. That doesn't mean you can't help with a donation...any level...for the cause...the PayPal site is up! B. We will leave the determination of that until we actually see you play.

Hey...that's pretty good and aimed at the students. Good stuff...need more. And, the students do indeed need to come support their fellow students. I hope they do come loud and proud. If so, I will have a lot of fun watching them be loud and proud.

Update...looking at having the after event party at Oak Street! There is a new taco shop opening next door that some of the Oak Street/East Side guts have invested in as well that will be open for those looking for some food as well as adult beverages at the after event celebration. How cool is that....Oak Street Draft House for the after event! Folks we need players .... Not much time to get this together...will need to know who us in and who wants to order shirts, etc. by early February....let's get on board people!

Sunday, March 8th with a tip-off at 2pm....what do you say?
