Thanks for the kind words guys. It was fun and we did pretty good for the Cheer Team. It apoears we raised a net of $2628.00 for the Cheer Scholarship. You folks did it....you made it happen for the Cheer Team! Hey, fun times after the event at Oak Street Draft House and Cocktail,Parlor as well. A great way to relax after the game and share a beer or two with some great people and great UNT fans. For those who were not able to attend the after game gathering here are the winners of our trophies this year...and let me be clear here...this was a vote by the athletic staffers on hand and the folks in the stands watching the game. In fact, I did not vote, but we have a lot of ballots cast....so...drum roll please......... Prime example of the reasoning behind my comment to Fly. Anyone who even for one second doubts Fly's support for UNT regardless of personnel is just ignorant of the commitment Fly has and has proved over and over for years and years.

Don't forget...the after event gathering and trophy presentations will take place at Oak Street Draft House and Cocktail Parlor after the game. We'll settle up the silent auction purchases, clean up the gym (not you guys...me) and head down to Oak Street. Players, spectators, volunteers, anybody...all welcome to attend the after event even if you could not attend the game itself. Please try to make the after game gathering in part to support our sponsor...Oak Street Draft House and Cocktail Parlor/Eastside Social Club. The taco lady will be open next doir as well for those hungry folks who would like a bit of food with their great Oak Street draft beer selections. Going to be fun folks...see you at the game! Yep...UNT Volleyball gym...right behind the new basketball practice facility on Bonnie Brae across from Apogee (well...closer to "across from the tennis complex). Everyone is certainly welcome...come on out!

I went to the OSU road game this year and was told by UNT'S ticket office that they did not have road game tickets for BB. Had to go through OSU's ticket folks. Would assume the same for UTSA, but a call to the UNT Ticket office could clear that up pretty quick for you I would think.

Yep...sorry...actually I did look at it...and I wrote it too. See, at this point...stressing over getting the t-shirts in time with all the ice days we had, getting the trophies re-done as the shop actually created cheer trophies instead of BB trophies, etc. I am going more stir crazy than I usually am.....yep...you are on white. My bad. Senior reading moment I guess....

Speaking of Texas Independance a Day.....Rudy's BBQ was giving anyone who wanted one a free Lone Star beer today...and, THOR...Rudy's will be selling Lone Star long necks for $1.00 each the entire month of March. Yep...it's Lone Star...it's Texas....but it's $1.00! Nice of Rudy's to do this for us Texicans!

Coach Benford indicated that Harris would return to the team for the UTSA game, but will not be with the team for the UTEP game. So looks like he'll be back for UTSA.

Info Alert... Don't forget that we enter Daylight Savings Time early Sunday...game day. Be sure and set your clocks AHEAD one hour...Spring Forward you know....before you go to bed SATURDAY night...if you don't you will be late! Just a head's up! And...I wanted to let everyone know that ARMY OF DAD is donating a bunch of goodies for our concession stand from his company! That is really generous and kind and folks need to thank him for stepping up to help. This means we will be able to bring in even more dollars for the Cheer Squad members through the event. Really great to get this donation and Army of Dad is to be thanked for his help and generosity. Thank you, Sir...BIG TIME!

Great news! Great re-boot tourney wins after having the original Oklahoma area tourney cancelled due to weather. Way to go Coach Kee and Company! Mean Green softball is fun! Nice wins ladies!

Yep...wondering about that...tough to see that, but probably just frustration. Maybe something with Harris...pretty much road the pine in the second half. Maybe Vito will shed some light on it...maybe not. But, thanks to all those who braved the icy roads and cold weather to attend. Chatted with Marshall and Emmitt who came up from Dallas...saw several others I know who live south of the lake. Making that drive was obviously no fun. But, they made the trek for senior day. Pretty fair crowd given the weather and road conditions. Really do appreciate everyone who came for the seniors. Good to see Collin's parents in the house for senior day and all the other parents and friends. Willie Davis in the house as well.
