Always a gracious lady, always speaks highly of UNT and appears to hold no hard feelings regarding her dismissal from UNT. She had a long run at UNT and has a nice gig going now. She has been back on campus several times since her departure. A real professional this lady.

Sorry to miss you. Had "family business" to attend to Saturday in Ft. Worth. Would have enjoyed chatting with you.

Just got a call from Coach Mac (OK it was a recorded call) asking for us to come to the Spring Game Saturday and to renew our season tickets. I would have told Coach Mac that we had already renewed, but he just went on talking in that Coach Mac style. This was a nice type of promo announcing the spring game and asking for support for the spring game. Pretty nice to see North Texas making these kind of moves to reach out to season ticket holders...yes, even if it was a recorded call. I, for one, appreciated it and was happy to see the athletic department promoting the game among the Mean Green Nation. There are, and have been for some time, ads in the Denton Record Chronicle as well. Sure, pretty local stuff, but I'm glad to see it. I'll certainly attend the spring game...hope to see lots of others there as well this Saturday...kick-off 2PM...game and parking free.

Ha! I would have added you to the list as well as that Oktoberfest was classic fun! Just didn't think you were reading GMG.Com much these days. And...it's probably more like 50% my fault!

Oh, no, not a list of "baddies" at all...I just threw out some names that I have enjoyed meeting through the years through GMG.Com and UNT. And, a few I thought might be a tad "misunderstood" by some of our fellow posters. Besides Censored By Laurie is in that list too...aren't you guys buds too?

You would lose. I have met lots of these folks including YOU, UNT90, GreenP1, Ben Gooding, Quoner, Green Bat, Silver Eagle, etc., etc. and, to a one they are very different in person than what one might expect from just reading their posts here on GMG.Com. And, I might add, every one a very friendly and very likable. While I still have a few meet-ups to go to disprove your "bet" 100%, I would double up and take that cash from you. If GMG.com does nothing else, it proves that you better not judge that book by its cover, or in this case avatar.

That was Purdue. Didn't work out...unless you want to schedule them sometime in the 2020's as I recall. I read the emails from the Purdue AD discussing it...he was all for it, except with all the conference changes he was now locked in until the 2020's sometime. Yes, I realize it is hard to believe but sometimes it just doesn't work out. And Purdue was not the only P5 talked to about a 1 and 1 that did not work out due to any number of things. Understand some schools got it done...doesn't mean UNT did not try and doesn't mean UNT isn't still trying. But, you do realize we have a HC very leery of playing P5's at Apogee. He prefers OCC home games he feels UNT has a better than equal chance to win, and so do I for that matter protecting the home turf and building wins at home is very important to our HC.

Really wouldn't matter..you wouldn't show up anyway. The light would probably be too bright for you. Let's see...you attended zero WBB games last season,right? How'd you do on weenie's? Nightime roaster I am pretty sure. I hear there is a guy who would love to join you in a weenie roast so you both could talk about a four year old successful fund-raiser. That's worth a real Ha Ha or two...and maybe you two could share a weenie. And, as usual, the comment went right over you head. That's not hard for you, right Napolean?

Yep. But, "respect" for others much less for themselves is far from the norm for many of these "look at me" types. They have no clue what respect entails nor do they care as it is all about them. Just another opportunity to thump their chests and yell "look at me...look at me"! Happens all the the time these days. No surprise.

One other good thing...this hire stops all the "UNT never hires its own" talk. But, perhaps a little extra pressure on her to win because she is a grad. My guess, she can handle it. Will be fun to hear from her at the Coaches Caravans this year.

Welcome home UNT Hall if Famer Jalie Mitchell....I will be renewing my WBB season tickets for sure. PS...when you get the chance PM me and I'll remind you about the guy who will probably blow your inbox up with numerous emails and perhaps load up your phone with text messages...that is if you don't recall it from when you were Coach Aston's assistant here at UNT.

Most certainly a Bronco! I do think, however, that my Bronco letter jacket has the absolute ugliest colors of purple and God together that I have ever see. Only year they used that combo on the jackets...good thing.

Hey, I spent two years at Bryan Adams too (before moving to Denton and graduating from Denton High), and my wife graduated from BAas well. Me, Hill Jr. High guy while the wife went to Gaston Jr High. I assume you went to Gaston, yes? Go Cougers! Small world.
