  1. Looks like it will be a gorgeous day. http://tinyurl.com/armyatuntwx
  2. We fire multiple cannons at football games at West Point -- one small one inside the stadium and several big guns outside -- at kickoff, at each Army score, and at the end of each quarter. Once the Army fans here yours the first time, they'll feel right at home.
  3. I'm glad that the cadet parachute team will get to jump. I think they've only been able to deliver the game ball once to a home game this year -- we've had lots of rain and/or overcast gamedays at West Point this year that prevented them from jumping.
  4. One week I pulled out trigonomettric functions, but then I decided that was too much work.
  5. I have not yet posted on our thread, but I'll go with my default pick when I pick us to win: Army score minus Opponent score > 0
  6. you can't just play "assignment football" -- blog is about Paul Johnson's offense, but that's what we run...
  7. Beat the Dean! ( I found a picture of the shirt on this site, and I like it too. )
  8. Already beat them this academic year -- in Golf, Cross Country, and Volleyball.
  9. Would mean more if our coach was a government employee, which he is not. (BTW, the recent coach's pay info in USA Today is questionable at best -- Navy HC Ken Niumatalolo makes more than twice the amount reported by USA Today.)

  11. No, family travel budget eaten up by recent trip to NYC plus upcoming Thanksgiving & Christmas... ...plus my "birthday present" trip to my wife's HS reunion back in October.
  12. We should have a good turnout. As you probably know, we have a lot of players from Texas (19 on the roster, at least 8 of whom will travel [5 of them are on the two-deep]), so we'll have their families & friends. Then there's the other obvious -- lots & lots of military down there.
  13. They'll be some defense in the first half. On the season, we've won the first half 86-78 but lost the 3rd Q 51-26 and lost the 4th Q ( plus OT ) 104-52.

  15. VMI's rushing yards were a direct result of LB Stephen Anderson suffering a season-ending injury against Air Force. His replacements too the wrong angle on several runs including runs of 30, 44, and 68 yards. As long as you guys don't suddenly decide to run the triple option, those particular plays won't happen this week. (Your plays of 30, 44, and 68 yards will come via the pass. ) Also, while our offense has been inconsistent all year, the VMI game was the ugliest outing of the year by far. One more thing -- your inability to hold a lead is matched, if not exceeded, by our inability to play after halftime.
