TCU and Rutgers were not in the Sunbelt Conference. As great as you may think this conference is, everyone else disagrees. Guarantee it that even if we won all of our OOC games and went undefeated in our conference we still wouldn't be ranked. Something else...I play NCAA 07 xbox 360, my first season as NT I lost one game to UT by 3 points and won the rest of the tough OOC and terrible confernce games...I was never ranked. I did get an invite to the CUSA and took it, there I lost 2 games, both pretty badly and won all the conference games...I was ranked 25th. Yes its a video game, but goes to show what the rest of the Football world thinks of the Sunbelt.

I agree, I too like the darker color in the pictures. As for the other colors, I wouldn't wipe my...............feet with them.

Maybe they were stupid chants. I understand what Eppy is saying. The North Texas thing goes on and on until people look around and go...ok thats enough. There is no structure. NOW, we need chants that people are passionate about and that are COOL. I'm sorry but U!N!T! Eagles fight fight fight isnt that cool. Think of the other schools that have cool chants...Florida State, when I hear their chant in unison it gives me goose bumps. What about Auburn, during the kickoff the whole stadium waves their towels and yells WARRRRR Eagle! Hey!...Floridas, gator chomp. Then we have UNT fight fight fight with about 100 ppl doing it. If we could find something that the more than 30 (and older alumni) on this board like to do then maybe the 15K students that go to the games will actually do it. So instead of us/yall coming up with something why dont we ask the students to come up with a chant and enter it into a contest and the whole student body vote for the best one, then we adopt that during our orientations? I remember my freshmen orientation and they started doing the chants and the eagle claw and I was like you gotta be kidding me, this is the dorkiest thing in the world, no one is going to get on board with this...and they didn't and still haven't.

While at the game I decided to try to settle some of my curiosities about a few things: So when I was leaving the spring game I happened to be walking along side of one of the players and I asked him if he had a chance to see the new uniforms. He said he had and that they look sweet. He said the jerseys are going to be more Kelly green in color, with white pants and a white helmet. He said he was pretty sure the logo was the same as the current one (North Texas) just on a white helmet though. He said they look similar to SLC but that they still look good. He also mentioned that he hated the current dark green uniforms, I like those so hopefully the new ones will be much better. Anyone else have any more information at any changes taking place?

Yeah I thought it was great that the players came over and talked to the fans and thanked them, it showed real class. There were a lot of ppl that stayed around for a long time after the scrimmage to talk to the players. I overheard 2 guys talking about when they have to get started cleaning up and the one guy said 'when everybody leaves'. They were in no rush to get ppl out of there or anything. Also, coach Dodge and his staff stayed around for a while and signed autographs and just talked with ppl that came up to him. At no point were there a shortage of 3-4 ppl waiting to talk with the star. Did anyone have a chance to talk with him?

I thought Cam looked good. I am not sure how much he rushed for but when he did he was real aggresive in getting upfield and fighting through the defenders. I am used to seeing a RB that runs and hits the wall and falls over. When he kept going I was impressed.

We asked and they said that most likely if you are not a MGC member and dont hold season tickets you probably wont get a chance to go since it will most likely be sold out.

What is that dirt field going to be? I overheard someone asking RV at the practice I went to if it was going to be a parking lot. I couldn't hear the answer but I gathered that RV said no. Anyone know?

Were you not there during 01-04 seasons when we were SBC champs 4 years in a row? When we smoked Baylor and beat Cinci? I would def. say that we were winning games then and yet it didn't benefit UNT because look where we were the last 2 seasons. So you say beat OOC teams? How is that going to happen if we cant pull in better recruits? Winning hasn't helped us pull in better recruits in the past.

I like this idea if this is remotely close to what Im thinking you're talking about. I went over the Memphis board before we played them in the tourney and they had a drop down box on the left side of the page that had links to all of their competitors boards. Could we get something like that on GMG?

BTW..We never got a bid to join the WAC. I spoke with someone on the Board of Athletic Advisors and he said we never received a bid and if we had, we would have taken it in a heart beat.
