  1. This is from a previous thred titled 'Advisory Board'. We are trying to raise money from GMG members to purchase the naming rights to whatever we can afford. Here is a list and prices of things we can name: List and price of things to name Daddy Dumpsalot: $200
  2. I will donate $200. That is all I can afford given my circumstances right now.
  3. Once was enough
  4. I called the supplier and they said that it was indeed Navy and that they didn't have any of the white shirts with green since Nike didn't offer it. She said more than likely they used Navy because it was the closest to Kelly Green they had. I told her I wasn't interested then and that our colors where White and Green NOT White and freakin Navy. What kinda junk is this?
  5. I was wanting to buy my dad a shirt for Father's day and came accross this one. The description says Navy. Is that correct? Why would NT have a White and Navy shirt? Any help is appreciated. Polo Shirt
  6. I think this is actually a good idea. How do we do it?
  7. I would pick a girls locker and title it "Dumpsalot"
  8. I knew there was an advisory board: Advisory Board or Name your building Take your pick Animation of the New Baseball complex: Baseball/Football
  9. I found this article on Dr. Pohl's accomplishments and was amazed. It got me thinking about what sort of shoes Dr. Bataille is filling. If she can accomplish half as much while here then that will be great...but I hope she can do much much more. Dr. Pohl improved so many areas of NT, lets hope Dr.B can too. Dr. Pohl Accomplishments The only thing that bothered me is why do we let the students vote on what their fees will be?
  10. I havent been in our athletic facility on a tour but I have seen a few other facilities pictures like UH and theirs is extremely nice. I also heard ATM built a new facility a few years ago that is awesome (Bright athletic facility). Here is the link to an overview of all ATM facilities All facilities Here is a link with pictures to their Bright Facility. Click on Photo Tour on the left. This thing is sweet Bright Does anyone have a link or pictures of ours?
  11. Maybe he was practicing for another position on the team
  12. I think someone posted that but I'm not sure how credible this is. I didn't know if anyone knew what the other coaches at other Universities or actual players/recruits were saying or something along those lines.
  13. Will recruits be saying this after visiting our facilities? How do our facilities stack up against the 'Big Boys'? I know our weight room isn't that big.
  14. Links or pictures please
  15. "It's wide open"....meaning we have no idea what this seasons going to be like? We could prob. be just as successful w/out the slogan.
  16. Whose the giant #17 standing next to him?
  17. This is correct. But it addresses a lot of points that we talk about on here. One being the streets closing thru campus. Someone said they wouldn't do that because of emergency vehicles. Says in the MP that they will continue to do that and leave a small paved street closed for vehicles other than emergency vehicles. You can also see the locations of the proposed baseball field and the track n field area. It lists the specifics of the new Greek village (made up the name) as addition of frat. houses accross from them already as well as soro. houses too. Shows what will happen to the area where fouts is now. It details the future construction of buildings and the appropriate colors they will be. It says it was updated in 2004, if that is the case and it was going to take 5 yrs for the stadium then 2004 + 5 = 2009. Its like a prophecy coming true before our eyes It shows College Inn and what they are doing now. It shows the fountain in the mall area. If they do all the things that it says in here this campus will be AMAZING. It will look so much better.
  18. Sorry if this has been posted already. EAGLE POINT CAMPUS PROGRAM AND LIBERTY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL SITE A number of new facilities have been identified by the University for the Eagle Point and Liberty Christian campuses. These include: Stadium A new 35,000 seat stadium is proposed at Eagle Point. The estimated cost is in excess of $35 million and must be funded entirely by private funds as no state funds are available for athletic projects. The timeline for construction is estimated to be 5 or more years away. A portion of the parking for the stadium will need to be provided on the Eagle Point campus; the remainder can be provided in the existing Fouts Field area. Indoor practice facility An indoor football practice facility is not required; however, a site needs to be identified for a 40 to 50 yard bubble. --Could this be what the vacant lot is next to the 2 practice fields?? Tennis Complex The program for this $2.4 million facility includes 12 outdoor courts one of which will be a stadium court with 600 seats. Support facilities will include an entranceway, combination dressing and restroom and a small pro shop. Track Facility A new track is required to replace the facility located in the existing stadium. Seating capacity for 800 and a press box (east side) are required. Other facilities include restrooms and concessions, which could be shared with other facilities on the Eagle Point Campus. Baseball A baseball field is also proposed for Liberty Christian property. The potential exists to cooperate with Texas Summer wooden bat league in constructing this facility. Liberty Christian School Site UNT has purchased the 89,000 gsf (17 acre) Liberty Christian School on Bonnie Brae for the Women’s Athletic program including NCAA softball, soccer and academic programs (Distributed Education). The facility will be used to meet Title IX requirements – 60 percent of the facility will be used for academic and 40 percent for athletics. The facility will address space shortfalls and quality issues on the main campus. Da link
  19. I see your point in having 40K seats. But lets think about it logically. We might, and I say might, have 1 home game a season that would be able to fill up a 40K stadium. Now lets think about the rest of the home games that no one comes to. Games that average around 8K-10K not including the 40K game. Honestly a 40K seat stadium with only 8K people there looks incredibly terrible. Having 32K empty seats is an embarrassment and nothing but a morale shock to our players, fans, alumni, and anyone else at the games who will take note. I do not think people are going to start coming to our games until the quality of the opponent is better, and I'm not just talking about 1 quality home game, I'm talking about consistent quality to build consistent attendance. I'm for a new stadium, but I'm for one that we can consistently fill up. I don't think it's logical to build a larger stadium for the 1 home game a season we may have.
  20. Me no likey. And why do you say the cocktail suites belong behind the fans? I like the idea of the suites being below the upper deck above the fans in the lower deck. I do not see why the cocktail suites need to be farther away from the field. Something like: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...HPND_en___US206
  21. I was thinking the same thing about Fouts becoming a Baseball field, but I think a 5 story parking garage is more likely. I would assume the Baseball field will be in the Mean Green Village. I'm glad that our stadium made it to the game but I kind of wish it didn't. I must say It's pretty embarrassing.
  22. I would love to have us play TCU every year. I think that would bring an amazing crowd. I think we will have to build our program a little to be more competitive but have a name like TCU on our schedule would be awesome. And having a victory over TCU would be even more awesome.
  23. I think 31K is a perfect # of seats. I think it leaves our big sellout home games (SMU, and whatever future games) with plenty of room for people and for our 'not so popular' games that dont attract a huge crowd, it doesnt make our stadium look completely empty. Thanks for the link too.
