Greg has quit the team so he won't be playing again.

I agree. I think this is a part of the process of improvement and hopefully, if done right, will help increase the respect of our university.

Honestly...I think that is the worst UNT shirt I have seen in a very very long time...and I have seen quite a few ugly/dump ones. If you are serious about getting these shirts out there I would consider revamping the design so they don't look like a 5th grade arts and crafts project. However...I do love the humor of the front.

If he wants to be selfish like that then just tell him: "The more you come out and support and bring others, the more successful our football program will be. The more successful our football program is, the more noticeable his degree will be." If he rejects that.....he is a loser and we dont want him at the games.

Do not forget that an increase in our budget would put us far ahead when it comes time for a conference jump. In talking with an administrator recently (cannot say who) it was communicated to me how incredibly vital it is that NT adopt some sort of fee coming directly from the students if we want our athletic program to be around in 3 years....that is 3 years. He/She said that TxSt just approved a student fee that will go towards helping them become D-I in the next few years. He/She said it gives them an extra I believe $6.9M. He/She said that if we cannot get something in place that TxSt as well as many many other schools will surpass us in terms of athletics and at that time it should be evaluated as to whether or not we should want to continue on with it since it will be in such bad shape. It was a real wake up call talking to this person about the reality of the apathy in our students and select administration. He/She stressed that something must be done quickly as it is being done at other schools.

Yes I was there. Someone did ask about the football stadium however, it seemed to me that the question was skirted over a bit because all that was said was "2010". They said that we are looking more solid at our lines, however, we are not deep nor very large......................thats what she said Couldnt resist sorry. It was a good event but I strongly doubt that there were 40 guests there. RV addressed our schedule and said that it is picked years in advance and we are just falling into someone elses mistake (my wording). If you have more questions send me a PM.

Denton also received a lot of publicity this morning on Good Morning America with the the beat down of a robber at Pizza Patron. Maybe soon we can receive publicity because of our awesome football team.

Just a sad reminder as to what the rest of the nation thinks about the Sun-Belt.

I as well as many of my friends would prefer to go to Boise to watch us play Boise St. or Fresno to watch Fresno St. or Nevada to watch us play basketball or even go to Utah St. to watch us pile drive Dickey FAR and ABOVE ever going to Florida to watch either Florida Atlantic or Florida International. If we play better more recognized opponents we would have a much better traveling crowd. I will be heading down to watch the Rice game this year....but I will not be heading to Louisiana to watch either Ulamo or Ulala.

Another genius idea coming out of UNT.... Let something get half way established and then take it away and replace it with something even worse....great plan of attack!

For what it's worth...JQ has gotten pretty close to Rodgers. They go play Halo together all the time. I think that this friendship really helps his chances a lot. For some reason Halo seems to unite people.

We have already been over this. One poster that is a student from NMSU said that initially their attendance rose and when they played crappy it dropped. I believe his phrase was they pulled a "goose egg" and therefore no one came to the games. Imagine how UNT's attendance would increase; even though we had a terrible record we had record attendance numbers. If we were in another conference it would only go up.

Yeah I bought a shirt at the Denton Sports Authority and my friends liked it so much they went to buy it but they had sold out, they checked Lewisville and they had sold out also. I give sports authority much props as they are carrying some cool looking gear. I get a lot compliments on them.

Our athletic director is watching new job openings closely. I asked him about his thoughts in changing conferences and his response was that he wants to stay in the SBC and ride the wave and doesn't see the CUSA as a better choice for UNT. I also think he had been drinking....heavily.

Have you been to a UNT game?? I'll tell you what is ridiculous, having 8,000 people at a 40,000 seat stadium....now that is just looks ridiculous. Build it for 30,000 and when people want to start coming expand. It would look utterly pathetic having so few people in such a large stadium....not to mention the increase in cost.

How can you even compare K-state and Tulsa?? This question is a no brainer.
