Is this just a fluke for this season or are we to expect this going forward? I hope this is how it will be going forward.

I second this. Can we please go back to the rendition before the last rendition? I think it's amazing a) that it only took a few responses before this thread was completely hi-jacked and the topic quickly became what the jerseys should say and how in typical GMG fashion everyone starts arguing about stupid stuff. I wonder what Eppy4life would have to say about this...

Same place. I dont understand why everyone thinks that because some school a few states away is possibly going to move into a new conference has any affect on what happens to us. Bottom line is this means nothing for us....here....you want to know what will happen: A Sunbelt school most likely Troy, or AKST will prob. make the jump...then the Sunbelt will search their options and realize that they are the worst D1 conference and will be forced to pull up some school that just got football a few years back.

This will happen because UTSA has no professional football team, is a huge city, will create another rivalry in Texas and one that is not 30 miles from another, and they have an accomplished coach. They will have great fan support and traveling crowd because of this. This would be a very smart move for CUSA to invite them to their conference.

I'm sorry but we will never be part of the C-USA. There are far better schools that would jump at the chance for that conference that have A LOT more to bring to the table than UNT. And lets face it...MWC wanting UNT is so out of the scope that it should not even be brought up. There is no reason to list reasons because if you are honest with yourself and take off 'the green goggles' it doesn't take much to realize it. Sadly our only option is to try to build up the SBC and by the looks of it it is going no where fast. We had one school do something of worth this past season and that was WKU going to the dance. Us being in the SBC these past years has done nothing for us and if history repeats itself as they say...

ANYTHING....is better than this death wish of a conference called the Sun Belt. Travel would be much less of a problem with our new increased athletic fee. Plus our revenue would increase from more people coming to the games. Also the one poster for La Tech said "i recall they had a decent turnout the last time we played them"...yeah because it was a school not in the sunbelt conference. They should come to some of the conference games...they would laugh. Lets face it.....we're doomed in this conference and we should be begging to get the heck out of here.

We might could offer butts in the stands but we definitely could not offer competition on the field. Win win for them...

Post of the month. Does this mean I will be able to trade in my season tickets for a suite with no additional charge? Maybe others have noticed this but I think its a sure sign that a University is in desperate need of a new stadium when the President of the University has to sit outside the boxes on bleachers. I am a younger guy and sitting on those bleachers makes my butt itch like there is no tomorrow...I can't imaging what the President is thinking while watching a game...well actually she is probably thinking about how she can get the BOR out to a game so they can experience itchy crass (the c and r are silent) too.

I want to preface this by saying that any stadium is better than what we have....NOW...after looking at the new rendering I must admit that I think the original rendering is MUCH better. With this new stadium I do not like the endzones at all. One of them is flat and grassy and the other side is in the shape of something that looks like a piece of a roof at sonic. Also the stadium bleachers are really flat as well...I cannot see that this rendering would do anything as far as keeping in ANY sound what-so-ever. I was hoping that with the bottom bowl it would actually be a bowl, and a continuous one so that it is easy to focus on the game with limited distractions and keep in sound...but it is clear that there are two distinct sections with some middle bleachers. I think that the stadium needs to have the bleachers more vertical and that the bowl needs to be complete all the way around with an opening at the end with the athletic facility.
