  4. Has anything been decided about fentriss yet? I really hate to lose him but i guess it is a position that we can afford to lose a few players at.
  5. absolutely awful!!!!!!!!! I bought it and returned it within the same day. The 2008 version for the PS2 was better the this edition. The graphics are horrible, game play horrendous, and the play books are hard to read because they are "drawn" with a pencil and are very simple. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS GAME! IF YOU HAVE EVER PLAYED ANY OF THE OTHER EDITIONS OF THIS GAME ON ANY OTHER SYSTEM YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.

  8. here is the link http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/viewp...mp;pr_key=64531 Sorry if this is old news I have been out of town for a week.
  9. Justin Padron's little brother and Riley's successor at SLC, kyle Padron, has supposedly already committed to SMU to play quarterback. Was North Texas recruiting Kyle as well? I thought it was interesting that SMU made an offer when Kyle has had little if any PT behind Riley at SLC.......
  10. I want everyone to know that the NCAA 2009 for the Wii system is just awful...... I returned mine and I think i am going to buy a XBOX now just for this game.....
  11. Around the UNT athletic department 10:30 PM Thu, Jul 03, 2008 | Permalink Brett Vito E-mail News tips It's a slow time of the year and with the holiday weekend upon us, there is not a whole lot going on in the world of UNT sports, but I did pick up a few tidbits to put on the blog today. I have put up notes the past couple of days on new UNT women's basketball recruit Raquel Cuffie. Well, today is going to be Day 3. I put in a call to Cuffie's AAU coach a couple of days ago. He called me back this morning. In an interesting twist, Delaney Rudd played four seasons in the NBA, three of them with the Utah Jazz. Rudd was a backup for John Stockton. Not a bad guy to have coaching a future member of your backcourt, if you ask me. Rudd said Cuffie's strength is her consistency and all-around game. "Raquel has very good knowledge of the game and does a little of everything on the court," Rudd said. "She could come in and contribute for North Texas right away. I know that I am going to get 12 points and four rebounds from her every game. That's a lot better than someone who is going to give you 25 one game and six the next. "She comes in and does a lot of extra work on her own. Those are the ones you know are going to be successful." Rudd said that UNT head coach Shanice Stephens has been after Cuffie going back to her days at Clemson. "Shanice has a good relationship with Raquel," Rudd said. "The most important aspect of recruiting is to find a coach you can build a relationship with and work for." Cuffie said she found that match with Stephens and the rest of the staff at UNT. It's pretty dead on the football recruiting front, but UNT target Phillip Gaines, a cornerback from Converse Judson, did talk to Scout.com a few days back. Gaines is one of a handful of prospects with a UNT offer at this point. Gaines has offers from UNT, Texas State, Mississippi State and UTEP. Gaines said he is favoring Mississippi State and is holding out hope he might be offered by TCU or Texas A&M. Gaines could be a key target for UNT because of his talent and the fact he is teammates with Chris McCallister, a defensive end that has offers from UNT, Houston, Kansas State, Tulsa and UTEP. UNT needs linemen and impact defensive players. Signing the Converse Judson duo would go a long way to filling UNT's needs in its next recruiting class. UTEP also picked up its first commitment in Mario Turner, a defensive end from Pearland, which really doesn't matter other than it means that every Division I school in Texas has a player on the board at this point. Texas leads the way with 20 commitments, while UNT and UTEP are at the other end of the spectrum with one each
  12. WOULD HAVE POSTED THE LINK BUT I DO NOT HAVE THAT CAPABILITY ANYMORE FOR SOME REASON!!!! UNT looking at another DISD prospect 8:34 PM Thu, Jul 03, 2008 | Permalink Brett Vito E-mail News tips UNT picked up its first commitment for 2009 from a DISD school, and it appears as if it might offer another player from the recruiting hotbed. I usually don't blog about prospects that haven't received offers, but since I have not seen his name mentioned anywhere else, I thought I would add Keivon Gamble's name to the growing list of players considering UNT. The Dallas Lincoln cornerback told Rivals.com that UNT is looking at him. Gamble has received offers from New Mexico State and Arkansas State, but a lot of other major college programs are starting to show interest, including Miami, Boston College, Wisconsin, Utah and West Virginia. UNT already has a commitment from Daniel Mayberry, who played last season at Dallas Spruce and will play for another DISD school in the fall. Mayberry is trying to make up his mind on a destination after Spruce shut down its athletic program for next season due to low standardized test scores by the general student population. He will transfer to another DISD school. I will have a post on the blog later tonight with some notes from around the UNT athletic department. Post your thoughts on the blog. Should the DISD be a point of emphasis for UNT in recruiting?

  14. Anybody going to here Todd Dodge? Breakfast with TD
  15. I am pretty sure The president of tax/CFO (not sure which) of Southwest airlines and her husband (an accounting partner at deloitte) are both UNT alums. I would think maybe we could get either Deloitte, KPMG, Ernst and Young or southwest airlines to sponser the stadium. I know KPMG gives alot of money to COBA and the career center. Maybe some of these people can pull some weight at their companies COBA alumni awards
  16. does this link take anyone to the right place? this blog says nothing about recruits....
