DeepGreen's post in Can We? How Should We? was marked as the answer
It's going to take sustained winning seasons, exciting football, and support from the top man at UNT in all things athletic. We need to start beating the likes of Western Kentucky, MUTS, La Tech, UTEP, NutsaK, etc., on a regular basis, along with an annual P5 win. This would get the casual fans attention. We have got to have back to back to back winning seasons over the course of several years. We need to get out of this same old North Texas funk we have been in for so long.
And the other sports need to do their part too. Men's basketball, women's basketball, softball, etc. Benford should be gone after this season; Jalie needs to be on a short lease(I really hope she gets the girls on the right track).
the more you win + better crowds + better recruiting = more fan attendance and greater fund raising

DeepGreen's post in MEAN GREEN signs was marked as the answer
Through the past several decades, I imagine the locals have seen their fair share of signs promoting UNT football. Disappointing year after disappointing year. Just win and you won't need those damn signs.

DeepGreen's post in UH Might Be Looking to Upgrade Conferences, But What About Rice? was marked as the answer
I've long predicted that U of H will move upward on the back of Tillman Fertitta. Rice will take Houston's place in the AAC, joining their private buddies Tulsa, Smut, And Tulane.

Seriously, I almost predicted he would cast his lot with SMU when they came into the picture.

DeepGreen's post in MGB: Could Canales be in play at UAB? was marked as the answer
Alabama BOR stopped the Jimbo hire and the building of an on campus stadium, sighting the economy and "fiscal responsibility, good stewards, etc." Yet, a year earlier, 2010, they finished a $80.6 million dollar expansion of the South End Zone at Bryant-Denney stadium! UAB may never recover from those two decisions.
