If those Conferences get 'raided', I think we're kind of in the Catbird Seat. Does it hurt to stay in the Sun Belt? Not really, and if we get an invite to the Mountain West, Conference USA, or even the ACC, we (RV) can look it over and accept it, or decline it. Ideally, I do not want to be in a re-vamped Big 12 with the 'Sips, since I see that Conference being put out of it's misery thanks to the BEVO Network, and A&M now leaving. And it could be worse, just look at the 'Harvard of Southeast Texas' (UofH)... They're already celebrating goin' to the Big 12, and have one of the worst Stadiums in the whole State! Of course, they could play at Reliant if need be. We're already ahead of them in Enrollment and Academics. All they have is a TV Market, which, is what sells College Football these Days.

At least the Goalpost is padded. This thing isn't. I smell a serious injury coming on with this thing being placed so close to the End Zone.

As having attended NT back in the mid '80s, this new Helmet Color looks damn close to what they wore back then. So, I approve of it. Anything is better than the Dodge/Southlake/White Helmets!

I do like that we're playing the last two Games of the Season at Home. If we can get past Troy before then, we should finish the Season on a strong note, even with the week between the last two Games.

Great Pickup for the Green! Saw this kid man-handle my Alma Mater (La Porte) earlier this Season. And, the La Porte Blogger is shooting this signing down as "so what?". But, what do kids in their late 20's know when they just blog for their High School Alma Mater? Keep 'em comin', Coach Mac!

Would love to see MUTS defeat Miami of Ohio, but that may be stretching it. Either way, the Belt has a Winning Record in Bowl Games this year...which is more than just one Bowl Game! While I agree that it would be nice to play UH or Rice every couple of years, Houston and Harris County could care less whom UH and Rice play each year. High School Football rules down there, especially now after the egg the Texans laid this Season! It would be great for recruiting, but I think that has already been taken care of by our new regime. I personally prefer playing smaller Schools...like 'The Little School on the Prairie', aka. Tech.
