There was one play where #50 (a Lb) ran down a receiver from about 15 yds back. It was very impressive.

A game like this lets the younger kids who don't get to play much get some playing time.

The future definately looks bright.

I voted O Line. We have some great players on the O-line but they just need some time. We have a lot of depth at every defensive position beside DT, we have 4 solid WRs plus the incoming recruits, a great RB (maybe 3, J Mo, Cox, and Cam).

Yeah, I mentioned yesterday that I played against Maurice Holman (Mt Vernon).

I think that Isaac must have changed numbers.

The DRC article mentions Gordon. I think that there must have been at least a few number changes. #99 was a big DT and I thought that it was Issac Thomas the whole time, but Issac is listed as #91 on last year's roster. If #99 is Sam Owusu then great, that kid will be a force in years to come.

One thing that I forgot to mention was that the centers all had trouble snapping the ball......it could have been the wind but......

#26 was not Cam, Cam is #25, I think. #26 was a smaller back. J MO didn't even have a chance today back he didn't get very good blocking. As for the QBs, I think that Meager looked the best today. He had some incompletions that weren't his fault, plus it was super windy. Based on today's scrimmage and the practice that I went to, I think that Meager is our guy.

While I was at the scrimmage I ran into one of my old friend's dads. He mentioned that he talked to Rick V and Rick said that Staubach is going to toss the coin. He also mentioned the white helmet, which we already knew about, and he said that on the 2009 stadium issue Rick said "we hope". By the way, I took play by play by play notes for the first 10 series, then I got caught in the conversation. I will post those notes either late tonight or tomorrow morning. For those who are curious, Meager started the first 5 series. Riley Dodge and Justin Padron were both at the scrimmage too.

I will post some notes after the scrimmage for those who can't attend.

I hope that I didn't take the afternoon off from work for nothing.

Rick, They have North Texas Ipod skins in the bookstore in the Union. I was in there today and saw them. They were $12 in the clearence area. I didn't see any thing on the bookstore website but here is the link anyway. UNT bookstore

White Helmet / Green Jersey If it looks like this but with cooler UA designs then I think that it will look cool.

Just a thought........wouldn't it be cool if they started giving out helmet stickers (eagles) for offensive and defensive accomplishments.
