  1. I'll be glad to buy a bunch and send them to my friends from Arkansas! Email me and let's do it! GO MEAN GREEN
  2. Dora and I are driving in from Springdale/Fayetteville, Arkansas! I am speaking at a breakfast at 10 a.m. Saturday at the University of Arkansas, so we will make it just in time for the game! GO MEAN GREEN
  3. When my wife and I got married, we re-scheduled our date, because it was on a home football date. Now, many years later, our anniversary is Saturday.
  4. Yes, and let's not forget the Economic Impact of one home game at LSU is around 30Million dollars. That's how much the city of Baton Rouge lost for just one game.
  5. In his article, he forgot to mention Johnny Quinn, among others. Also, MT will not win the SunBelt. If North Texas doesn't win it (I think we will) LA-Monroe will. GO MEAN GREEN!
  6. If NT ever wanted to make a jump to the MWC, in which I feel we would fit right in and be competitive.......we need to have at least 30,000 at all of the home games. Any conference would love to see us travel with at least 15,000 fans. At the Univ of Arkansas, there football stadium was crap when they joined the SEC, however, the SEC wanted the hogs because of their traveling fans. Everything in higher ed and the world, hinges on $$$$....if we could get our attendance up, any conference would come flirting. GO MEAN GREEN....BEAT LSU
  7. What's the difference between Dish and Direct TV? Thanks for the clarification.
  8. Two years ago, Mandy told me at the NO Bowl, that we needed to send $5,000 a year for 5 years for the stadium, total $25,000. Anything less, they really didn't care about. I asked about $1,000 a year for 10 years, and they said, that really doesn't help. So, I gave it to another University........I wish they would really try and sell it, and be done with it! GO MEAN GREEN......Best LSWHO !
  9. The only "Blue" the MUTS will be doing is after the game, singing the "Blues" just like years past.......MUTS is "blue" with envy.....
  10. Interesting article, however, they didn't explore the possibilities of some of the non-BCS schools beating up on the "big" boys......OSU will not be the same OSU......look at Troy and Missouri last year......keep watching, sooner or later, the SBC and other conference schools will start beating up on them......who will it be this year?
  11. What kind of recruits and schedule do we have in place for next year? Is our schedule going to improve? any thoughts? How about for the ladies?
  12. My son and I went to the Arkansas game. Didn't see anyone else in Green (other than the bench).....was ugly early, however, I did see some bright spots for UNT. JJ really does know how to coach, but now we need to learn to recruit. U of A has the 5th best recruiting class in the nation coming in for next year.....GO MEAN GREEN! ArkansasEagle Allen Powell
  13. Tina is now recruiting players that compliment our conference. It's really not changing philosophy.....just getting with the plan according to other teams in the SunBelt. GO LADY EAGLES!
  14. I am Allen Powell, Assistant Professor of Hospitality Administration at Arkansas Tech University. I missed the Idaho game, but was there for all of the others. Went also to the ASU game in Jonesboro. My wife and I have been Mean Green Club members for several years, and try to get to a few BB games, since living in Arkansas for five years. I was a non-traditional student living in Fort Worth, and computing into Denton. We've been to both of the New Orleans bowl and also helped sponsor some kids to go to the game. I graduated from UNT in 1992 with a BS in Hospitality Administration. Currently, working on a Ph.D. at Oklahoma State University. Anyone is welcome to email me, and let's chat sometime. Go Mean Green! Allen Powell ArkansasEagle
